I've had the product in my small water feature for 3 weeks and it still has algae. I cleaned the pond, replaced the enzyme pack, still nothing. Not sure why this is happening.

This is the first product from Gardner's Supply that does not seem to work. I put it in a stone bird bath that had just been cleaned and algae grows if birdbath is not flushed daily.

I put one of the squares in a clean birdbath. I have no idea if it is or should prevent mosquito larvae from growing in the water, but it certainly does nothing to prevent the growth of algae. In fact, the square itself became covered with algae.

Started at beginning of season with a clean fountain. These have done absolutely nothing to prevent algae. If that is what you're buying it for, don't waste your money.

I wasn't sure they worked when I tried them last spring since I thought they would keep the bird baths clean and they didn't but what they did do is keep my cat and dogs who also like to drink out of the bird baths from getting a parasite that they got this spring without them. I won't go without them again.

My fountain and birds baths were green with algae. Now they are beautiful and clear. I just need to remember to change these every month to keep it that way. Excellent!

Nice, compact case. Floats on surface of water. Can be knocked out out of birdbath by a coon or squirrel or in heavy rain that overfills the birdbath. So, I check for it when I refill the bird bath. No big deal to do!

I put these into both our small and large fountains. Neither stayed clean. I was happy to find a product that wouldn't harm the birds the water features attract but it's just not doing the job, sadly. So I'm shopping again.

These cleaners are compact and keep the birdbath cleaner for a longer period of time, which is good for the birds. There is no mess involved, just drop it in the birdbath water. Simple as that.

This product did not work at all. In fact, the green moss and slime seemed to develop even more quickly. One didn't do anything, so I put two, then all into the bird bath and they did nothing to stop the growth of the slime. I would not recommend them or buy them again.

We use this in the birdbaths to keep the algae growth minimal. It redues the number of times I need to scrub the birdbaths clean because of algae overgrowth.

I ordered your Waterbury Solar Fountain/Birdbath and have placed one cleaner in water. It didn't work. Next time I placed two cleaners in water and water still clouds up after 2 or 3 days and green algae forms on both top and bottom sections of the fountain. The water bubbles from 8 in the morning til 7 at night and still the algae and cloudiness. I LOVE the fountain and wish cleaners worked. Sorry!

I scrubbed my birdbath thoroughly with bleach to kill the algae that was determined to grow in it, then, after repeated rinsing with the hose; I put one in the bottom and filled it with fresh water. The algae was back in a few days; it's not growing quite as fast, but it's growing. I haven't seen any birds in it. Does anyone have any suggestions??reply to Edna at [@]Thank you

Was hoping this would keep my bird fountain/bath clean, but it doesnt seem to be helping at all. And the first one disappeared after one day! (I found it chewed up later but the insides gone) I would not recommend this to anyone.

Being an avid bird lover, I have several bird baths in our yard. I have tried several different types of cleaners, tablets and other products that claim to keep bird baths clean and free from algae. Although skeptical, I tried and much to my amazement, they work splendidly (even in the bird baths that are in sunny locations). I highly recommend this product.

each little dispenser lasts about a month in my very high-traffic birdbath/fountain (I add water several times daily due to constant use!). If dispenser is added at time water is changed, algae don't get a chance to build up, hence less frequent need for yucky cleaning :>!

I'm using it to try to keep the green algae from forming in the birdbath, and I think it's retarding the algal growth somewhat, but it does grow...but since I clean out the bath every few days anyways, it seems to keep the water cleaner in between.

The only problem is that someone keeps flipping it out of the birdbath. I don't know if it's the birds, the cats, the squirrels, or maybe some errant raccoon. I tied a large-ish glass bead to it with nylon fishing line, and that seems to have helped keeping it in the water. I wish it came with some weight that can be easily attached and detached, so I won't have to keep tying the bead to it every time I replace the cleaner.

My birdbath would turn a rusty red after a few days. I would bleach it just to have the rusty red return. It's been over a month and the water is still as clear as when I placed the cleaner square in the water. It's small enough that you don't notice it the water. I will buy again when I run out of my supply!

This product seems to be working but it may be too early to really tell. I put it in my birdbath which has seemed to quickly get filthy in previous years. So far the birdbath has stayed remarkable clean. However, it hasn't really been very hot yet this season and I think the heat has a lot to do with how quickly the birdbath got cruddy in the past. Only time will tell but my fingers are crossed.

We are using the birdbath cleaners in our deck fountain. They have helped to keep the gunk from building up and keep the water clean for the birds who find their way to our fountain when the birdbath is dry. So far we are happy with the results of the cleaners.

I have used this product in my backyard fountain for several years and it works! It's very easy to use, economical and it doesn't use chemicals. I have mosquito fish in the fountain and it hasn't harmed them.

My birdbath has an inticate grapevine design with many crevices that collect algae build up and organic grime. I tried power washing and scrubbing with a toothbrush but nothing compares with this product. It not only keeps the water sparkling clean but dissolves the build up as well, I will keep this item in supply and use it in all the birdbaths in the garden.

I'be been using in my foutains for one week so far and the water still look pretty clear. I wish it were a little more stylish maybe in the form of a flower instead of a wafer. When it floats to the front of my fountains I think of waffles! :-)

I have a dish fountain filled with small rocks, thought this would stop the algae growth. It did not, maybe because I put it under some rocks to keep the squirrels from stealing it and it couldn't float around like it's supposed to.

I followed the instructions perfectly, and as others have said, the inner mesh pouch expands in the water, pops out of the plastic cover, and both float in the birdbath. That wouldn't be so bad if it kept the birdbath clean, but it doesn't. The water's green within 3-4 days...just like it would be if I wasn't using this product. What a waste of money!

Expands when wet, opening the plastic container. So both the plastic and the pouch float in the birdbath. Did not keep the birdbath clean for more than a few days. Hoped this would work, very disappointed.

I put the product in the bird bath and it expanded and caused the outer plastic container to pop open The inside cloth sack was exposed in the bird bath. I used a plastic wire tie to hold it together.
The product didn't last as long as stated before the bird bath was dirty.

I tried this product in two bird baths. The instructions said to place it in the center, which was difficult as it floated. Securing it didn't improve efficiency; neither birdbath benefited. I had bought two packages in full confidence of your product and finally through them both out.

Super easy to use, open package and drop in water!
Nothing to break apart or mix in. Great for birdbaths and small outdoor fountains! Lasts for months! The only negative I can think of is I wish it was either in a clear plastic or disguisted alittle, especially for a bird bath.

This product does what it says. It kept my birdbath free of alge well over 30 days. It does pop out of it's plastic holder but it's in a little mesh bag that just floats around so no problem. It doesn't bother the birds in the least and I feel better having clean water for them.

I have one very heavy cement birdbath that is getting more difficult to clean. This is such a
labor-saving and healthy alternative to using a bleach-based cleaner every week.

I like clear water in my birdbaths and this product accomplishes that goal. In our hot Texas summers, 2 at a time must be used for it to work.
