Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought two: one for a large potted plant. That one works well - lasts about 2 weeks. The other is in a hanging plant. It is identical; yet it lasts 2-3 days. I find this inexplicable!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use for plants on deck at cabin, usefull for time we are not there. One emptied quick so not sure if I need to check the white "T's" to make sure they are in snug. So far I am very pleased with them, I ordered 3.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I used this for my outdoor plants in pots while I was away on vacation for a week. I watered the pots well before going away and then inserted the drip it pro waterers. The drip it pro waterers did the job and watered my plants slowly over the week that I was away. It was a great help since this summer we are experiencing a drought in my area and with the summer heat and no rain in the forecast while I was away this helped keep my plants alive.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought three drip-it frogs and two larger drip-it containers for my terrace planters thinking they would last as directed -- for my two week vacation. After two days the frogs were depleted of water...i had to call in a friend to manually water my plants.......
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I have 2 potted plants that need attention when we travel for more than a week and I thought the watering frogs would be perfect. In one pot it worked so well - just as advertised - and I know my plant will not need watering while we are gone. In the other, there was less room at the base of the plant and I never could get the prongs in to the soil so that the water did not just leak out quickly. One pot took about a week to empty the frog while the other was gone in hours. I misjudged the size of the base of the frog and how unforgiving it is. It actually can damage the plant when pushed in. It is not just the size of the pot that matters, but the amount of empty soil at the base of the plant where the watering frog has to go.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
The frog is very cute, but it doesn't hold water as long as my aquaglobes. I don't know if that's good or bad, though. Either way, it is a controlled watering system with character.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Works well; kept my planters in Seattle alive while I was on a weeklong vacation during August.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Item works just as it should and is easy to fill, but be sure to carry it to planter upside down and then very quickly turn it to insert in plant. If you turn it slowly water will dribble out of irrigation holes near bottom.
This definitely helps with planters in warm areas that dry out quickly.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This product was a great plant "nursemaid". We were gone on vacation for 9 days, and my plant stayed happy and hydrated.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This is useful to have if you are going away for a couple of days and do not have an alternative watering plan. It is best suited for indoor plants as larger containers outside are more thirsty and need, particularly in the summer heat, deeper watering. This device is inadequate for outdoor summer container plants, i.e., herbs/tomatoes, etc.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought a few of the frog and larger water devices and I have only 3 that work and the rest the water is out the next day. Will not work for extended watering or vacation watering. I had a wick that broke and can't replace it unless I buy a whole new system. Wish that they worked.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Excellent watering system for indoor plants. I am growing air purifing house plants and these 'Drip It Waters' have made keeping them watered much more convenient.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I ordered 6 for my outdoor pots. Some dispense all the water quickly and some do not dispense water all all. I do not recommend.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This product was a waste of my money. It doesn't release the water as described. As a matter of fact I don't think it has released the water at all with the wick in it, and with the wick out, it just pours out.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
The large sizes keep my plants watered for an extended time which is a big job in Phx, AZ
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This little drip water frog works great. It's easy to fill and since it uses stakes for support instead of for watering, it doesn't get clogged with dirt.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I can go away for a week without worrying about my plants
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This product is excellent and helps us to conserve water while providing our outdoor plants with the water they need !!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use the drip frog to provide the proper amount of water to a small potted rose plant
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
The concept is good. Frog is attractive. But much of the water leaks out before you can get the tines into the dirt and the water flows rather than seeping into the soil over time.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
It's great to see the water level. And the frog is cute sitting there in the pot. I like the fact that the plant gets just the water it needs ... consistently!

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This year I purchased 4 of your plant waterers - 2 frogs and 2 larger cylinders. The cylinder type I used for my large plants and the frogs kept my smaller plants very happy. These were easy to use and very effective even on my front porch which gets quite warm.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I'm trying a couple of these out before leaving for vacation and I'm pleased with the results as the the pace of the water drip is keeping my plants moist enough, and I trust that they'll be ok for 2 weeks!

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I live in St Louis area where it is very hot. I have beautiful hanging baskets with petunias and million bells that need to be watered at least twice a day in the heat. The cute little water frogs help keep the moisture level more consistent which makes the flowers grow so much better.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
The drip it is great for watering your houseplants while on vacation. I have also noticed that my plants are growing better because they are not getting overwaterd or deluged with water once a week. Definitely worth the money.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I read the directions put in the wick. Filled up the container, put it in the soil in the flower
pot. went on vacation came home and the container
was still full of water a week later. I may not under stand how to use this product.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use this for house plants that are difficult to reach, such as behind the headboard of my bed in front of a bay window. I also use this on plants that I may either under or over water. It delivers the right amount of water whenever the plant needs it. I do recommend rinsing out the part that goes into the soil periodically because it may get clogged after a few months.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I followed the directions and set up the large size. When I returned 4 days later it has all the original amount of water in the green container. It was a trial run so someone had watered the plant and it was still OK. I have no idea if this works, but it did not work for me.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
My soil might be too pourous - but the water runs out too quickly so I still need to water regularly.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Works good on small potted plants, rate of watering is too slow for larger plants. Will last 2 weeks on one fill of chamber
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I used this in two planters I have sitting on my front porch. We recently moved, so I don't have someone to come water my plants when we are gone during the summer. We were away for 10 days and it worked just fine. I probably wouldn't recommend it if you are away for a longer period of time.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Bought 2 frogs; both drained out in less than 24 hours. Tried to find more wicks.[...]

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
us it in a hanging pot
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I travel frequently. I live in a townhouse and have many outdoor container plants. Without my drip it pro self watering bottles my flowers would surely wither and die due to lack of water. This is a great product. I have recommended this products to family and friends. Only two things more I could ask for would be an extra wick with each bottle and a less brittle plastic used to make the bottles. They tend to crack after being used for a couple of years.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Awesome product. Now I don't have to worry about remembering to water my potted plants. Easy to see if the water is low and easy to refill. I love this product!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
My ferns need more attention that I am able to give during these hot days. This surely helps.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
They are small, however, and need more frequent filling.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Dumped all water all at once. I purchased to preserve my plants while on a 5-day vacation.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought this (2 actually)despite a few poor reviews because I have been so impressed with other purchases made over the years. However it cannot provide water to my planter box. It seems as if only a minute amount of water is being released. Ater starting them in moist soil within a week the plants were very wilted and the soil bone dry even right where the device was! The device was still almost full of water. Don't know why they don't work. They will squirt water out of the probes when squeezed so I know they are not clogged. Try again guys!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use this in a flower pot on my patio and front yard. I was hoping it would eliminate the need to water the plants daily, but it hasn't. It helps on a cool day, but still isn't doing the job on warm or hot days. Also, the larger version is so big that even though the flowers are lush, it still stands out and takes away the beauty of the flowers. I wouldn't buy another one. I have two.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This product is simple, efficient and reliable.
I no longer worry about leaving my plants or relying on other people to water while I'm away.
I have bought several over the last year and will buy more as my plant collection increases.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
We have always had an issue of our plants drying out in the hot sun on our NYC balcony: its like having your plants in the mild of the desert. We would water in the mourning but when we came home all the plants were wilting but with these Drip-it water systems our plants are stress free and this is the first year we have had blooms in June due to happy health plants.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Great at my weekend home to keep patio plants watered w/o the drip line running across everything.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I am now able to keep my plants watered without any effort...so when I am super busy I don't have to worry about my indoor plants. I fully plan to get more of this cute little watering frog!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Valuable aid to anyone planning a vacation and has houseplants sensitive to lack of watering. Only difficulty is judging water level in container.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I am using the waterer in a hanging basket on the back patio. I love it because it lasts for several days so I don't have to water the basket by hand every day. I can see from my window when it is getting low. It is easy to fill and use. I like the color too.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I wanted these items and bought two of the larger
containers and two frogs. They work fine, distribute water slowly over days. It means I can leave on vacation and they will be ok!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I have a couple of small outdoor potted plants that must be watered daily when summer arrives. These frogs allow me to go several days without worry. Want to get more for my indoor plants as well.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought four of these and put them in the indoor plants I most wanted to have watered while I was gone on vacation. Easy, easy to use, and apply water slowly. Just what I wanted. However, I thought they were a bit pricey.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
When I go on a week trip and don't want to ask anyone to water my plants, I use this waterer and it does a great job.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Great concept, but they don't drip they flow into the plant. Very disappointed. They empty in a day.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use this to water plants when we are away. I actually use it in combination with another slow waterer from Gardener's Supply that I've had for years and don't remember the name of. This waterer didn't actually last a full two weeks, but it was a great help.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
These are durable (salt air, tough sun, fog, wind) and really drip evenly and reliably. I bought one each for my home garden use in two small flower containers (12" round and 6" x 12" oblong) and they work great! They are easy to fill, stick in the pot, and forget about for awhile before needing refilling. I've also plopped one of them into a 15 gallon container while waiting to plant, and it worked just as well. In fact, I like them so much, I'm buying several more! This is a really great product.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use these in my containers on the front porch. It keeps them hydrated between soakings and keeps the plants looking good when we're away.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This is the only such product I have tried that releases the water as needed. Unfortunately, the hydrophilic wicks that cause this to happen don't last. I ordered a total of 6 and 2 have already bitten the dust. Without the wicks, the water just pours out. I have not found a source for replacing just the wicks.
I would definitely recommend it if more wicks were available. Sadly, without this I cannot.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I needed a solution to water several large-ish plants in an oft-forgotten location. These waterers have solved my problem. They keep the plants watered between visits. Both the plants and I are much happier and healthier.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
This was a great idea, but the water does not drip out. If I tip and wiggle it, it dumps all the water out at once. I'm glad I tried them in advance. I could have lost some long-time plants. After getting two of these things, I asked my neighbor to water my plants after all.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I really like the Drip-it Pro. It does just exactly what it is supposed to do and has considerably eased the job of watering my numerous potted plants. I even ordered a second batch!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Great it works the way it should. Wish it came with extra wicks. Slips easily. Can see loosing it easily in the future.

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
a friend told me that it needs wics or pics or something like that so that it won't distribute the water fast and that seems to be happening. what do i need to stop that? how do you adjust the settings?

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Our apartment is so dry it's hard to keep some plants adequately watered. The drip-it waterers give a steady supply of water so the plants no longer get dried out right away. Since it's see-through I can tell easily when it needs filling.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I live in rural Arizona where the arid desert heat sucks the moisture out of non-desert plants. Use of self-watering devices like the Drip-it frog help my plants make it through the day until I can water them in the evening. Although I like this product, I think the Drip-it Pro is a better value because it has a greater volume capacity for water storage.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I live in a very hot area and kept losing my potted plants. Now I have not needed to water for weeks and my plants have never looked better
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
product works and is cute
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
USEFUL IN HOUSE PLANTS
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I purchased 4 of these and installed them in 4 of my houseplants. Over one month the water levels barely went down, so I questioned whether or not they were actually watering. I used a moisture meter several times to check the condition of my plants and ended up watering them regularly regardless of the waterers being installed. I used the product with both one and two of the wicks installed but it made no difference. I was not happy, so I returned this product.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Followed directions. Product does not work at all.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
My plants look good and healthy because it gets the right amount of water it needs.
iT HELPS WITH MY TIME.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
use in planter boxes, large pots, indoor pots
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I purchased three differnet types of watering systems for while one is away. This was the best of the three. It was simple to install and actually worked in a pot that I was having a lot of trouble with water retention.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Because we RV so much this is a must have for us. No more asking family or neighbors to water our plants while we're away!

Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use these when it is going to be very hot or when I am going away for a while. They work great for me. It pays to read the instructions.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I was very unhappy with this product. I was going on vacation for 2 weeks and purchased the product so that my plants would not die. I came home to a house full of dead plants. I filled up the water bottle as instructed and the water never dripped drop by drop into the plants as advertised. The water bottles remained full and the plants died.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Good stuff
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I used the Drip-it waterer on a large peace plant. I was able to go on vacation without asking a neighbor to plant sit.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought this item for my elderly mother so she wouldn't have to water her outside potted plant.
Unfortunately the water doesn't drip out at all. I installed it in the pot per the directions and a week later the container was still full and the soil in the pot as dry as a bone.
Great idea but it just doesn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
The product does not drip water into the pot. The water level stayed the same over the two weeks
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I placed these in two outdoor pots during very hot weather and no water went into the soil unless I squeezed the bottle.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
one works fine, the other doesn't. Drips when installing.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I purchased 12 of these drip waterers because I was going on vacation. I installed them all in potted plants on my porch. Some of the waters were empty after 3 days others were still full after more than a week. I ended up asking my neighbor to water my plants while I was gone. These waterers do not work.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
used for larger houseplants
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
these little frogs worked very well on my porch plants but are so cute my daughter took them home with her
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Last year I went away for a weekend and lost my entire crop of container grown tomatoes. This year, I put several of these in each large container and came back to happy, healthy plants. Now I leave one at all times in each container to counteract daily summer evaporation.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
it has been described elsewhere as coming complete with a wick (this one didn't). The only time water comes out is if you pull it out of the dirt. Dosn't work at all!!
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I have tried thirty different ways and the water never leaves the frog. The pot is bone dry and frog is still full.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I have used this in containers that I planted and have kept outside. We have had very little rain this summer and it has really helped keep my plants beautiful.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I travel and use these to protect my potted plants during the hot weeks of the summer. They are a bit more expensive than the auqa cones but if you care about the look and dont want a plastic bottle sticking up out of your plants then these are the ones to buy. Highly recommend.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I was not impressed with the product. I had problems with the water not dripping out correctly. Many times I would have to give the jar a "squeeze" to get it working.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Used these indoors when I went on vacation so I bought them for my outdoor planters......worked fabulously inside but outside not so great. I think the sun evaporated the water too quickly even though I tried to shade them. Also broke a couple of the wicks...extra wicks would be nice.
Would definitely recommend the for indoor plants.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
some one could maybe tell me how they use this product...
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I travel and i have a couple of plants that aren't on irrigation. Getting a couple of these have saved me a fortune in house sitters. I have been leaving them in my fussiest plants even when I am not traveling.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I found this difficult to use. It didn't water at any noticable rate. I'd fill it with water, but by the time I got it into the plant, it had lost a lot of the water. It's not a plant's best friend.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
You don't have to water outdoor planters every day.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I can take off from work for long weekends or vacation and not worry about my plants. Many of my co-workers have 'black thumbs' or would forget to water them for me. I fill up the frogs and leave work worry free. When I come back, my plants look great. I ordered a frog set one year ago, this year I ordered both types. I have recommended them to co-workers. They love them too.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
- frog is easy to fill with water, attractive in the pots/baskets
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I put one of these in each of two plants. After several days, the first plant got dry and wilted, while the waterer held a full tank of water. The other plant VERY slowly took a bit of water, but in the end, I abandoned the whole thing, after refilling them repeatedly and repositioning them, trying different plants. I will still hire someone to come in and take care of my growing things when I travel. These are useless.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I love my assistant. I can always relie on him to care for my favorite plants when I am away. It's fun to use and I have not lost a plant yet
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
After 4 weeks, some did not drip ANY water...they were as full as when I placed them in the container. [...]The directions from the manufacturer are lame at best. All my Drip-its were level in the container. The Frog Drip-its require a re-design because the wick wants to fall out every time you flip the unit over to stand it up-right. Sigh.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
When the heat went up, the Drip-it waterers did their job. They kept two large pots of flowers alive over a three week vacation! I think I will put it in the center of the pot next time to make sure all of the plants around it have moisture.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Came home after 2 week absence and this device was still full of water but the pot was drying. I assume either I screwed the bottle on too tight or the soil needs to be bone dry before it'll absorb.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Although I found this product lasted about one week, not two, it did a great job of keeping the soil moist while we were away. In fact, I plan on getting a couple more before our next vacation.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Very useful during absences. Also good in winter or very dry conditions as regular source of water for indoor plants.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I use ths when I am out of town for several days
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I love the drip it frog, it did the job while i was away on a two week vacation. I intend to buy more because it fits perfectly with my busy schedule.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought these to use them in some large containers that are difficult to water without getting water everywhere.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I have killed two lemon trees in the past two years simply because I couldn't get out to water them as often as they needed--everyday in containers. My new one has grown a foot and is perfectly healthy. I use the the larger drip-it Pro Waterer and only have to change it every week and a half. These are great products. I have five and could use more.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
this was a gift to my niece who travels alot. she loves them.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
we use in our indoor plants.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought this product because I travel frequently. I found that it provided the right amount of water for the plants, so I use them continuously. I have them in office as well as my home. Coworkers and friends have also purchased them on my recommendation.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Either it didn't work or I couldn't figure out to make it work.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Doesn't seem to water very well. May not know how to use it right or been patient enough.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
Almost no water passes through the wicking material into the soil. It is not an effective product.
Comments about Drip-It Waterers:
I bought the frog to give my orchid the drip watering recommended for the plant. It works well, & I'm pleased with it.
