Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought this window box to use on my deck for lettuce, herbs and strawberries. It sits on the deck railing and fits perfectly. It is very sturdy and well made and it holds plenty of water without the plants being soggy unless I overwater it, and then it drains. I move them if it is very windy or rainy so that they won't be damaged. These are far better quality than the Big Box stores and nicer looking. I'm very happy with these window box planters.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I purchased 5 of these window boxes in various sizes. I am very pleased with them. They work well, and eliminate the need for constant watering. My windows look beautiful! My only concern is that when they are full of soil, plants and water they are very heavy. The bracket support system seems to work well, but I worry about the weight - especially with the 39" box. Perhaps it needs 3 brackets to distribute the weight. Would definately recommend these to others.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This window box is lovely and durable and best of all, it comes in a wonderful variety of colors. The only drawback I find is that the self watering spout is in the way of arranging the plants the way you would like. I managed to plant around it, but would rather it was on the side of the planter instead of nearly in the middle. Otherwise, it's a great product, and I would buy another.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The planters really do eliminate the need for daily watering of my windowboxes.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Installation on vinyl siding was a challenge. Otherwise, the product functions well.

Great product and my flowers love it

I've used these windowboxes for years at our lake house where we can be gone for a couple of weeks at a time. If I fill the reservoirs before we leave for home, my plants are still alive and growing when we return.

I've had 6 of the boxes for several years. Had to order one new one since a previous one did not like being dropped to the driveway from 13 feet up!
I did order some replacement watering tubes last year and they don't fit the newer boxes.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Love these!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These planters really keep flowers hydrated and look even better than they did when first planted. I bought the loden green planters and love the color. I plan to try the hanging baskets next.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This window box was easy to assemble and fit our needs perfectly. Our only suggestion is to tone down the orange in the terra cotta color and use a bit more earthy clay tone mixed in. Overall, it is a great product, especially for cottages where we week-enders can't water during the week. This has the built in watering system. Win-win. Thanks, Debi Shatzer
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We have these at our cottage and can water once a week, they are good till we get back. Bought 2 for our son and daughter-in-law's house as a gift. They also love them and will be buying more. Thank you.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Wonderful product, but if left out in winter, the plastic will deteriorate faster. The weakest part is the water gauge, which will crack and come apart in a couple of seasons. They are replaceable, but not cheap. The large tomato and box type self-watering planters have gauges with very flimsy tops that often don't close properly and crack quickly. Prepare to replace those every season or two.

A very good product.

I use atop retaining walls. Works very well. I decided to try a couple to see how I liked them.
I won't be purchasing any more untill the price comes down. It's way to expensive for a plastic box.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I like to grow my kitchen herbs just outside my back door in a window box. For years I've used a terra cotta window box that dried out daily in Dallas weather. This year I purchased the self-watering window box. It's absolutely brilliant! I fill it on the weekends and enjoy cooking with my herbs all week. Best of all, my herbs are growing better than any time in the past. I love it! I'll be adding more self-watering containers to my deck for flowers.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I have had my 2 window boxes for two years now. I will be adding two more for next season.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
we have two window ledges in the front of our house that these planters fit just perfectly. they are east to maintain and above all look great. These are better than making wooden ones.
Thanks
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought 2 of these for a porch that faces SW--the plants survived one of the hottest summers on record thanks to the self-watering feature. I would highly recommend these to others, and plan to order more in the future.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We enjoy our self watering window boxes because we can can go on vacation for a week or so and not have to worry about our window boxes drying out. When we get home our flowers look as nice as they did before we left.

I live in Arizona ... and You know what I mean if You live here. It's almost impossible to keep a potted plant outside looking nice in the summer. Ya, water it and then it's soon dry again and the plant isn't looking so good. This keeps the plant watered and looking good. The bottom line is .. it works and is easy to set up. I'm going to buy more.

Ideal for weekend houses, or any house. Saves frequent watering and is better for the plants.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Keeping window boxes well watered is a real challenge here in Philadelphia. Days and nights are hot and the combination of brick walls and blacktop make for a hot, hostile environment. With these planters I can enjoy healthy, well-hydrated plants.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This is my first year using them. My flowers have never looked better.Watering them is easy. They are not avaiable in Canada but it was well worth the space they they took up and paying the duty at the border.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I now own 9 of these (two 23", two 39" and five 31"), and wish I had more windows. I've actually had people stop by and ask me gardening questions, thinking that I know what I'm doing. I don't . . . these boxes just makes it look like I'm a master gardener. I'm a pyrotech and haven't had much time to water lately. During this very dry, hot period here in the northeast, my flowers thrived. I would HIGHLY recommend the potting soil for self-watering planters. It drains well and my plants love it.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This is perfect for those that travel. I do not have to worry about my plants not getting watered when I am on the road. Great product!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
My summer annuals always suffered from my aversion to really hot humid weather: I just couldn't make myself go out and water! With these windowboxes, I can keep my petunias going strong (including fertilizing them) all summer til frost. My only complaint is that the floats broke after a few winters and I have to eyeball how much water I need, but you can do this easily.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This product is very easy to assemble and has a lot of differnt options to put it together. I use mine on my deck and as a window box to my shed. I work long hours and go away alot on the weekends, so I can't water my outdoor plants everyday. This keeps my flowers alive and they do exceptionally well in the flower box. It gives them the perfect amount of water and you cant over-water do to the drains on the bottom. I highly recommend this product!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I love how easy these planters make gardening!! You put water in and can walk away for a few days but your plants look like you spent hours on them!!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought this for my niece, who is not known for watering her plants. I have been overwintering her geraniums in my sunroom for several winters now and they busted out of the original planter, so I bought this for her, transplanted the geraniums in it and they now are filling a window sill outside at her place of business, a beauty shop.
The customers are amazed at how long we have been able to keep these plants going. I give it a 'brush cut' along about mid- March, along with a handful of compost, water her and she takes off with new growth.
At the same time I bought one for myself and the plants in it are doing very well.
I like the sturdiness of the planter and the watering tube with the moisture indicator.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These window boxes are extremely well made. My husband installed them over our porch railings and they were very easy to assemble and install.
They have only been up for about a month now, but so far my plants are growing beautifully. Our porch gets very hot afternoon sun so I'm reserving judgement on the self watering feature as it has been a very cool and wet spring here. I expect, though, that they will perform very well.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This is a terrific product. I highly recommend it.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This is a wonderful container. It self waters so the plants that need a lot of water are well taken care of in a dry season.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These look good, are sturdy, and hold lots of water.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I love this window box. My mom has had these window boxes for years at her house in cape cod..they are not taken in for the winters and still look new..I was thrilled when my husband gave me one as a gift for our new shed window. It was very easy to assmble and install. It looks great, I have planted 8 4inch pots in the 24 inch winodow box and it is nicely full with out being cramed. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a selfwatering window box....This is a great product
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Removed the old, wooden, rotting, warping wood window boxes on our shed which is in clear view from the road. Installled these window boxes easily by myself. Planted some pretty flowers, filled the water reservoir and walked away. Have added water periodically to the reservoir and the plants are thriving and blooming. So easy, great for the very sunny spot they are in. Would buy more if I neede more.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Like windowbox but would suggest change in hardware. You provide a bolt and wingnut to fasten box to rail. I understand why you provide the wingnut (no tools needed to assemble) but is it large and unattractive. I purchased shorter bolts with capnuts. Much more attractive.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I love to garden but live in a community that has a large deer population, so most of my gardening is container gardening. In the month that I have had my container planted and installed, I have been very pleased with the results so far. I have only had to add water one time and my plants look happy and healthy.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The brackets are inadequate for the weights of the boxes. I could bend them with my bare hands when installed. The boxes themselves are very good.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
great if you can't be home ALL the time taking care of your window boxes!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
i love the fact that watering will be a breeze. My flowers have direct sun and this is one less thing to think about.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These boxes are the best! They are easy to fill using the recommended potting soil and easy to install. The flowers look so healthy and not withered. You don't have to water them daily so they don't dry out like ordinary boxes. I would definitely recommend these to everyone!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Very attractive and look like they will really last.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I felt this product fit my needs nicely. I wanted a window box that wouldn't dry out like my previous ones. The bracket was alittle tricky to attach since we live in a log house.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Very solid product for exterior window box use. Had to make supports simpler and repainted it a more modern leafy green color. The pool house resembles a small cottage now.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Great product. Does hold a ton of water -- so it is a little heavy if you have to move it....but it works fantanstic.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Hanging off our deck to brighten it up. Not sure if the self-watering device will work as promised since we have had some rain every few days and need to wait for some long summer days w/o rain to find out.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:

I live and breath gardening in the summer in Maine. I recently added a garden shed to my backyard and knew I had to have window boxes. I saw the Gardeners Supply window boxes and knew I had found exactly what I wanted.
I produce a garden show in Maine and I did an entire show demonstrating the window boxes and showed the wonderful flowers that I grew the first time ever in my three new window boxes. I have to say I was thrilled with the product and how it performed.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I love this window box. It looks good; it is easy to use; it is easy to fill and it's easy to see when it needs to be filled. There is nothing more I would want in a window box, unless it watered itself. I use it outside my brownstone window. My only complaint is that it only comes in two sizes, and I would like it larger than this one, but smaller than the large size.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We hung two of these boxes on our elevated deck, and while one did fine, the other one doesn't hold water in its resevoir. Now the planters (and their plants) have been brought in for the winter, and the one that doesn't hold water is continually filling up a tray we were forced to place beneath it. In all other respects, these planters have performed well, and they look very nice. I consider this a mixed review, not a negative one.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Just got the new window box planters expecting them to be like the old ones and am very disappointed. The fill tube is huge and right in the middle of the growing area. The old ones had the fill tube at the end of the planter and was small but at least it didn't take up so much growing room and was at the end of the planter out of the way. Still deciding if I will send them back. I use the old ones to grow things in my sun room and they work great for lettuces and other greens. These are not up to the ones I already have!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I use these for my indoor winter vegetable garden in my sun room. I grow chard, lettuce, salad greens, onion, and beans in them. They make it easy to keep consistent moisture to the vegetables. I have just ordered a couple more for a constant supply of salad for the winter. I don't have them on windows but they work great under grow lights.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I installed my window boxes within 2 weeks of receiving them. I am not handy dandy with tools, but I had no trouble using the strong hardware to install my window boxes to my cute little shed. I wish you could see the plants that grow in these self watering window boxes. They are lush, need very little watering and I believe the window boxes will last for years.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Purchased this item late in the season after painting our home and I couldn't wait until next spring to fill them so I put mums in and I love them.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
When I fill the reservoir I can forget about watering. I check the level on the weekend and there is still water in the reservoir. Makes window boxes etc fun again.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Great design, easy to use.Lots of compliments.
One thing I would recommend is that there are more sizes.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought three of these planters for my 71" front window as I couldn't find a window box to fit as well as be economical. They are planted but not installed as yet. They seem sturdy and I like the self-watering feature. The only issue now is that the window boxes are going to sit a bit low under the window because of our lap siding on the house.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Flowers last year were extraordinary, had to be the new boxes. They made it through the rough Wisconsin winter with no problems, flowers are great again this year
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Our flowers grow better in this pot than in any others! They grow faster and bloom bigger than our neighbors' flowers. In fact our neighbors come to ask what we do to have such beautiful flowers? Buy your self-watering pots!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The window box adds a lovely detail to our new Garden Shed. It actually now looks like a sweet little house instead of a building that holds yard tools.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Awesome windowboxes - very easy to install and
look very nice!!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The window box is part of a patio project we are currently working on and should be fully operational in the next week or two. We have wanted a low maintenance window box under the garage window and this fit our needs.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The fence on which I wanted to place these is too light weight. I have not decided where I will put them, but they are nice looking and I like the fact that the brackets are adjustable
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I am really enjoying this product. I used to water and watch it drain out the bottom without really soaking the soil. Or I worried whether I needed to water or did I water enough?...now, I don't have those concerns anymore. The only thing that is difficult about it: once your flowers are growing like crazy - they've covered up the gauge and it can be difficult to find and read - but I'm not complaining that my plants are that huge! I would recommend this product HIGHLY!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
MOISTURE DISTRIBUTION IS EXCELLENT - HAVE NOT ADDED WATER SINCE INSTALLING
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Our house faces West so we get a lot of late afternoon sun. These windowboxes are a great addition to our garden and the plants are doing really well.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This windowbox was easy to install. I liked that it made minimal holes in the siding. I was able to adjust it myself but it would be easier to do the final adjustments with two people. It has a nice water level indicator. The hardware has a nice finish. It is a beautiful box that I think will hold up for years to come.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
WE have tried other window boxes, but they usually dry out if not carefully and religiously attended. These boxes are great for the times one forgets or is away.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These window boxes sit underneath the front windows of our brand newly-built home...the color (bronze) is PERFECT and with flowers, adds just the right amount of "zip" to the brick facade.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Excellent window boxes as far as tray construction, self-watering design & capacity and overall appearance; however, the water level tubes and glass level indicators have all broken and not from misuse. Plastic tubes are too fragile, as are the level indicators. Also, the plastic cap which goes over the fill hole is attached to the tray by a thin, curled plastic strip. This easily breaks off at the cap end. In addition, if potting soil material gets into the fill hole, the float mechanism will not work and register properly.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I use this product on my deck. I have two. I plant annuals in them. I can go away for a week and come back to find them in good condition
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Easy to install and they look great!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These hold alot of water and should work very well.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These window boxes were not hard to hang, just had difficulty finding mounting screws that held, and then getting everything lined up, but I really like the fact that they have a water supply tray, and it seems to work very well.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I purchased 3 of the 23" window boxes in white for my deck railing. I use two boxes for flowers and 1 box for herbs. These self watering window boxes are perfect for me the "Lazy" gardener, I love flower boxes, but I do not always have time to maintain/water them, these boxes are the perfect solution. They look great on my deck, the white box really allows the color of the flowers to pop. The only issue I had was securing the brackets to my deck railing/post. Very sturdy brackets are included (lesser quality ones are sold at home stores for [$], these are much better and match the planter boxes) I could not put screws in my deck rails so I used zip ties and it worked great to secure the brackets to my deck railing.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We planted vegetables in the window boxes in the back of the house. Wonderful lettuce, spinach, carrots are growing marvelously. Rabbits, bugs, slugs, etc., etc. can't get to them, so we have picture perfect lettuce and other veggies.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I have four of these on my deck and LOVE them! The only thing I don't like is that the wing nuts show on the top, but I am hoping that my plants will grow over them eventually and you won't be able to see them.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I was so happy with the first one I bought two more. I live in a dry climate and window boxes can dry out very quickly. The self watering feature prevents that. There is a little gauge that shows you when it needs water.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The boxes are in the front
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The self watering feature of this attractive window box is what caused me to buy it. The great part is that it really works.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
You only need to water once a week!!
Reduces your water usage.
Plants thrive and you have beautiful cascading flower boxes even in drought conditions!!
I have 4 boxes and have purchased another 6 this year; to share with family!
The best investment that I ever made!
I now, have the most beautiful flower boxes in the neighborhood! (And I actually, spend less time, money and effort).

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
In the past, our window boxes never received any water from rain and we would have flowers die because we did not water them frequently enough. Now we can tell at a glance if they need water and the reservoir is quite large and can keep plants watered even over a dry weekend when we are away from homre.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I have been looking for a low matainence product that looks great and is reusable every year. Now I have 4 deck gardens, they are quite a find. The tube to fill with the gauge is excellent. I like that the planter drains when the well in the bottom gets over filled from rain storms so the roots do not rot.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Flowers in my windowboxes on my shed (out of reach of my hose) inevitably died of thirst as I could not keep up with sometimes daily watering needed to sustain my shade plants. Now they are looking better every day instead of worse. Mounting screws would have been appreciated.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The boxes are on the front porch and keep my flowers from getting to dry. It is also possible to pick them off the brackets and put them back under protection when the weather is bad.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Very easy to install, is very user friendly, need to refill perhaps twice a week. I am not sure about the durability yet considering we have had it only a month.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We purchased new windows this year, so I purchased these new window boxes and they are fabulous! They have a lot of visual street appeal and the self-watering aspect makes them so much easier to maintain-especially in summer and for vacation. I love this product!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
It was easy to install and I love the gauges that let me know when it is low on water.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
first time with window boxes. Like the look. attached to garden shed. Keeps plants wet for several days. Plants are thriving after two weeks
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
The self watering window boxes are great, we are away from our home two days a week and never have to worry about our flowers needing to be watered. I have 6 of these.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This is the solution to my biggest problem. I often forget to water and my plants suffer. The self-watering feature is working wonders and my flowers look great with very little attention.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I used the window box for trailing flowers and vines to hide the front of a somewhat unsightly air conditioner condenser. It really changed the whole look of that formerly ugly part of the garden.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Love the new colors. The sizes work. I have it in my Smith & Hawkins iron window box holders that I got years ago. So far so good.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Looks great plus we finally know when our plants need water. No more $$$ spent on plants that die from over/under watering. Hoping that the indicator feature lasts a long time!
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
*Had no instuctions about lag bolt length for indivitual siding-Local hardware store helped-otherwise very easy.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I love the self-watering feature. A different brand of self-watering box that I bought 3 of last year (from Gardener's) had more convenient (in the corner) and smaller fill tubes and a much sturdier method of hanging was offered separately. I had to purchase a support system elsewhere for this year's boxes to avoid drilling holes into our artificial deck material
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I travel a lot for business and I simply could never have flowers. Now I come home to lovely displays because I never need to worry about daily watering. I have purchased a total of nine of these now for two different houses and I will never not have them.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Loved the choices of colors, I got bronz and it goes great with the siding

Planted it up and went to Europe. My house sitter forgot all about the boxes and when I came home they were just starting to stress. Did I mention I was away for three weeks?
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I substituted these window boxes for the ones offered with the shed I purchased. I have healthy, living plants in these window boxes, since they have a reservoirs that provide consistent watering. The shed is far from the house. Without this system, I know I would have wasted money on plants that would have died from lack of water.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We are often away from home and not able to water as much as needed, the self-watering planters have been SUPER! I am finding after a couple years use, however, they are no longer retaining the water in the reservoir.(even in storage all winter)
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:

I live in the deep South where the days are blazing. These pots save my flowers without watering 2-3X day. I know I can leave them for a few days and they will be fine.
Great product!

Petunias in the sun are doing great. Water lasts about a week. Impatients in the shade are drowning. They seen to be getting too much water. Any suggestions?

These sounded great, but in reality, they are not so great. Plants do not stay alive in these things.
Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We get a lot of sun in our yard that will typically fry my window boxes if you forget to water. When its hot, several times a day may be required to keep the plants looking nice rather than becoming crispy-plants. The gauge is easy to keep track of when they should be filled, my plants are very happy, they look great on the house-and you can go camping and not worry about your plants. They replaced pine windowboxes with moisture control potting soil.

We use these in our well house at our summer camp. As we are not there all the time, these self waterers keep my plants looking beautiful.

My plants look great, which wasn't the case with regular window boxes. I water only every 5 days or so, instead of every day.

Plants look fresh and stay that way. So easy!

We have seven of these self-watering windowboxes on the front windows of our vacation home in New Hampshire. We can fill the resevoirs when we leave on Sunday, and they keep the flowers well watered until we return on Friday. Our windowboxes are gorgeous, the flowers just keep coming, and look beautiful all summer. This is the second year we have used these windowboxes and they have been fabulous each year. We use the Gardener's Supply self-watering soil mix as well with wonderful results. I can't say enough good things about these windowboxes - if you want color all summer, use them!

With summer temperatures regularly in the 90's and 100's watering annuals becomes all consuming. With self watering window boxes I fill the resevoir every other day rather than watering both morning and night!

The self-watering windowbox is great. The water gauge is easy to read, and you know exactly when the plants need to be watered!

I just add more every year - unlimited use for flowers and herbs -- I'm even growing lettuce in one this year.

I have a container garden on my deck at my summer place on the lake (with your other self-watering products) and added the window boxes this year. I planted beans in them and, with S-hooks and tacks installed lines of twine from the front lip of the boxes up to the overhang, eight plants in each box. The beans look beautiful running up the twine, they get maximum sun but are protected by the roof overhand from the pummelling thunder storms we have had this June in NH, yet perfectly watered with the self-watering feature. Awesome design for a summer place which isn't frequented much at the beginning of the growing season but just enough to water once in awhile before moving in!

I use a small funnel to make it easier to add water into watering tube.
I used black permanent marker to "color" white watering tube & lid to blend into dirt color.
If used on balcony floor it becomes easily portable for arranging placement of planters.

Can't say anything bad about a planter that waters itself! You only need to add water to the reservoir every few days, while the soil always stays nice and moist. It's so much easier than trying to pour water over all the dirt in the container, while splashing it all over your feet as it runs off the flowers! I'm all for anything that makes life this simple and saves time.

This is a great product.
It's versatile. It comes with mounting hardware.
And it works. It really, really works!

I never know what to get my sister. She loves to be out in her garden and when I got her those she raved! She has used them everywhere and she loves the fact that they are self watering.

I love the resevoirs in the bottom of the boxes. Sometimes I am just too tired to water from working all day, and with these boxes, I dont have to worry about it. I love that they came with hardware. I have never seen a windowbox in a store come with hardware and that is why I never bought any at a store. I didnt know how to put them up. These are perfect!

The self watering window boxes came practically assembled so in no time I was ready to plant my annuals. The brackets were a little more complicated but once you figure out the first one, the rest are assembled very quickly The only down side of these window boxes is that they are quite narrow I believe 6 inches and there are a couple of cylinders that protrude in the interior of the box which limits to some extent the number of plants it will hold via a vis other conventional window boxes. But I'm okay with that since the built in reservoir mechanism effectively keeps the plants from drying out. Makes watering a lot more manageable.

I purchased two for our vacation home. I am usually there every other weekend and so far all my plants have survived. They were installed under a covered porch so the only water they received came from the reservoirs.

I have 4 self watering windowboxes on the railings around the deck and they are so full of flowers and require far less maintenance than what I have used in the past. The plants are thriving and I don't have to check them every day.

I think this product is great. I originally purchased them for my home. I then made a purchase of the window boxes for a second home where we are not present for daily watering. Since seeing my window boxes, my mother in law asked for some as a birthday gift and my brother in law has added them at his lake home.

Perfect size. Lots of room for the plants and it's easy to fill the reservoir. I've tried many windowboxes with little success. My plants in these are amazing.

I've referred many friends to these window boxes after being extremely pleased with their look, durability and performance. I keep mine under the windows of the shed which is mostly a shaded area and only need to water once every 4-6 weeks! The coleus, vinca vine and impatiens thrive in them.

Easy to install on windowsill. Fill the reservoir and the plants are good for 2-3 days before more filling is needed. The plants love it, and the containers are very classy looking.
