...the tray is full of water. We've had so much rain this spring that it is hard to tell how well this will keep the plants moist in the harsh summer heat. I will add more at the end of the summer when I'll know more. For now, I like it.

set it up about waist high for my wife ,no bending , self watering , can't beat it.fresh herbs right outside the kitchen door.

Just started using these trays. So far a very wet and cool spring - we'll see how they work once it gets sunny and drier. Like the design and concept.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I use these self watering trays to put all kinds of plants on when I am on vacation, and now I use them all the time. Plants respond to them and grow more leaves and flowers and I have yet to lose a plant from over or under watering.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
This is great for seedlings and transplants prior to setting out in the garden. I don't have to worry about the plants drying out and the well holds a good amount of water.

Needed an attractive place to keep my outdoor plants inside during the winter months. I had looked for a long time and found this in your catalog. It is perfect. Looks lovely in my dining room and holds all my plants .
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
Just check periodically and don't over-fill. It can be a mess

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I bought 2 to use with my salad growbags because last year the bags left big stains on my patio. When I received them I started to set everything up only to find that my growbags hung over the ends by more than an inch on both ends. I sent them back since they didn't meet the purpose I bought them for.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
These are great. I don't have to water my plants as much as I used to-these saved my tomatoes during some extreme heat this summer. After days of rain, they started to grow a fungus though.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I bought this for my strawberry plants where I place two pepper grow bags on top. I've bought some liquid nutrients to add to the reservoir. I like the idea of bottom watering to avoid over and under watering, as well as, the compression of the growing medium; but I don't feel the roots get enough oxygen or a dry period. I'd like to see the tray be a little higher and have a notch for a valve to force a dry period and the ability to attach to a bigger reservoir where an air-stone could be placed.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I grew lettuce and spinach in the salad grow bag this year. The self-watering tray was very easy and convenient to use. I live in the desert and I refilled the tray every 3-4 days. My lettuce and spinach thrived.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I bought this for the herb bag. The bag seems to fit when it is empty but when full of soil the sides pouch out and cover the tray completely so that I couldn't add water. I had to do without. I will give it another try next season.
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
i have found fungus gnat larvae crawling in the mat. not a fault of the product, just makes me be more mindful!!

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
It works fine! When I first ordered the self-watering plant trays for some lettuce grow bags, I had doubts about how this system would work. Now I understand that it uses straps that act as wicks to draw water up from the water in the tray to the bottom of the grow bags. A great functional design that works.
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
Combines well with the growing bag and keeps my herbs well watered

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I used this product with salad greens. It maintains even moisture but I find that I still have to water it frequently when it is sunny and dry. Nonetheless, it reduces watering when compared with no watering tray and it makes growing a bit easier.
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
Great for existing plants, and for seed starting. I like it very much.
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
suggest having the opening to add water at one of the corners to make it easier to add water.

Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
This tray is not long enough to support the lettuce grow bag.
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
I bought 2 Pepper bags this spring and was wondering how I was going to stay on top of watering all summer long which is my biggest garden challenge. So I bought 2 of these self watering trays for the bags and so far they appear to be working well. (we have already hit 80+ here so self watering is already pretty critical. The only negative is that my location is not level which is fine for the bags but not for the trays. It limits the amount of water they could hold so I had to use some rocks to shim them up and I am afraid they may crack faster because of the extra stress that is putting on them.
Comments about Self-Watering Tray:
My seeds are doing well; it is the first year I have used this system. The tray needs refilling a little more often than I'd hoped, but all in all, I like it.
