Digging with a trowel while standing up is an idea that takes getting used to, but once you try it, you’ll find that it’s very easy, and your back will thank you. The corrosion-free steel Trowel Head snaps into a 56" long Aluminum Handle. For weeding, change the trowel head for the Push-Pull Hoe Head. It’s twice as efficient as a regular hoe, and is angled to work while you stand up straight.

  • Back-saving, lightweight, ergonomic, rust-resistant steel
  • Snaps onto lightweight aluminum handle (sold separately)
  • Ergonomically positioned blade makes weeding easier on the back
  • Be sure to see our lawn grooming attachments as well – Rake Head and Dethatcher Head

    Comments about Ergonomic Stand-Up Tools:

I've used this shuffle hoe for several years and it works great. My soil is mostly clay. The trowel on the long handle is probably a bad idea. The same manufacturer makes about a dozen other heads and two other handles. The one foot handle works great for the trowel.

I had it for one season and no sign of rust. Not meant for intense use. Used with the long handle it's great for digging bulb holes.

    Comments about Ergonomic Stand-Up Tools:

I have an area that is eight inches wide, and about eight feet long. The earth in this location has a lot of clay, so I needed a tool that would help me get into this tight spot, and remove a lot of the clay so I could refill with plants and good soil. Considering all the leverage available with this super long handle, don't think about applying too much of it on this trowel. You'll bend the neck in no time.
