    I added to my Hedgehog collection with this adorable pair. They are now hidden throughout my rock garden and I get many compliments on them.     I have this pair of hedgehogs sitting on my porch so I can see them every time I go past my front door. I will be adding plants soon and will have to move them, but will have them where I can see and enjoy them. I gave an identical pair to my sister for Christmas, and then just had to have a pair for myself. They would also be cute arranged in a flowerbed. I absolutely love them.

    Elegant and simple piece. Is an all metal wire frame with decorative metal curls. Great accent piece for both the garden and the porch. It does come unsealed so a quick coat of clear sealant is advised especially if left in the rain or snow.

    Very cute, and solidly made of all metal (looks like iron, but I am guessing steel). Good detailing. I am guessing on the "weather resistant" part - haven't had them long enough to know, but they are intended to pick up a rusty patina (more so than the sprayed-on one with which they came) I think, so I don't see how weather could harm them much.

    I like the natural look of the hedgehogs - no bright paints or plastics - so I bought them as a gift for a friend who has a deck with lots of potted plants. I thought they'd look cute nestled in amongst the pots. She loved the hedgehogs, but mistook them for boot scrapers. They certainly wouldn't survive long in that role. If you give them to someone, make sure they understand that they're for decoration only.

    The hedgehogs would make nice decorations not only in a garden, but also by a fireplace inside, or peering out from under shelves or furniture in an informal room.

    Since the hedgehogs are new, I can't say how sturdy they are. They look fine, but if they were mine I'd keep them away from areas with lots of debris dropping down, since the debris could accumulate between the metal curlicues.

    I keep the hedgehogs on my covered patio right beside the back door where they are protected from the elements. However, when we had a blowing rain last week, I did bring them inside. I did not use a protectorant on them because they should be fine where I keep them normally. But if I had them anywhere in the open, I would definitely apply a protective coating on them.
