My cats love this. If you shake it, they will come running to play. Simple, easy way to play with your cat. They never seem to tire of it.

I thought this was a gimmick, but my son begged me to buy it for our cat. Boy, was I wrong! Our cat goes *beserk* playing with this. You'd think she'd get tired of it, but we use ours about 20 minutes a week, and she's still game for running around the house after a red dot.
We still haven't had to replace the batteries and we've had it for months now. The light is quite powerful. We can get the cat running from room to room just by moving your hand to get the light to move.
Best tips for cat play:
-aim it a bit in front of cat's feet to catch their attention and jiggle the light a bit.
-"run" the light up the side of a wall or cabinet occasionally.
-doesn't work well if there is a lot of reflection (i.e. dark windows or stainless steel)
