Save yourself the extra postage and waiting - buy plenty while they're available.

I wanted candles in the window that didn't need a plug, but one that would stay put when examined by little hands. These certainly fit the bill. They sit underneath the window frame, but do not break the seal. They turn on and off automatically - dusk to dawn or you can turn them off easily by twisting the bulb slightly. They worked great during the Christmas holiday and I just may leave them up all year long.

Warned by an electrician of dangers of extension cord, I was attracted to the LED function. It worked very well, but was much less showy than I anticipated. Needs to be used with a 2nd candle or with garland, etc. My new triple-pane windows have an indention in the insulation at the base. Now leak. Would recommend with caveat.

The candles are nice looking, easy to set up (no cords running down the windows), and being battery-powered allows them to be placed in almost every window in my house. I would like for the bulb to burn brighter--I would trade a shorter battery life for a brighter bulb. I would also like the light sensor to be more sensitive to light. There were a lot of cloudy days when I unscrewed the bulbs because the candles never went off during the day. Even with these shortcomings, if I can find brighter replacement bulbs that don't drain the batteries before one holiday season is through, I will buy more candles to place in all my windows.

I used them upside down on my Anderson crank-out windows so they were hanging down from the top instead of on the sill. They worked fine.

I was so happy to find a window candle with the "stay put" design, instead of dealing with flimsy suction cups that never seemed to hold the candle very well. Unfortunately, the bulb is an orange/yellow color, a bit too orange. I also purchased some of the window shags with candles, and those bulbs are an ugly, florescent white with a tint of blue. They just have not come up with a soft white color LED bulb yet, shame.

I would have placed a second order for additional candles but they were sold out which was not a surprise. The candles give our home a warm welcoming feeling. I will order more next year.

Sooo glad I found these! No windowsill, no problem. I have mourned the loss of my favorite holiday decoration (candles in all the windows) since we moved from our victorian home to a ranch style home five years ago. These look beautiful from the outside and the inside of our home. No more cords all over. The only reason for four stars instead of 5 is that they ARE a little dim, but I am so glad to just have them, I can deal with it. Perhaps replacement bulbs will fit. I will look into that next year. The plus side of the dim lights is that you don't feel like you want to put them out when you go to bed because they don't light the room as much as the plug in type. I will be purchasing 2 more for the rear of our house. I recommend these to everyone. They are terrific and there is nothing else out there for folks who have no windowsills.

I loved them so much I put them in every window. The only thing I hated was that 3 or 4 of them didn't shut off during the day and when I went to exchanged them, they where all gone. Other than that I would recemmond them. Easy to put in windows and after that don't need to touch them again.

I am using them in all of my windows of my old house and have adapted them to some windows that don't open. I love how they turn themselves on at dusk and off at sunrise and don't need to plug in. The suble light makes them look like real candles than the bright lights you see in other people's windows. I will be using them probably all year round but definitely over the holidays in winter. The concept and ease of set-up was so great that I ordered some for friends that were interested.

Got these candles for Christmas decorations, but failed to notice that the window base of our front windows didn't support the metal candle stem. However, our back windows which did not have window sills did provide better support. So we were able to use them and they look very good. I do wish they were a little brighter.

The LED window candles are beautiful when your driving up to your home, I put them in all my 18 windows. Placing them in the windows was fast and easy, the only adjustment I had to make was add felt tips to each candle stick so they would be snug in my windows. I love them! plus no cords HURRAY.............

I was excited to try these since I've had so many candles fall off my too-narrow window sills and break. They are designed for old style double-hung windows I guess because the brackett simply doesn't hold on my windows.

These candles are exactly what I was looking for and I would love to be able to use these.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE PICTURE!!!! If you have a lip at the bottom of your window to raise and lower the window, you cannot use these candles. Most of the new double hung windows have these. They are better for the old fashioned windows with no lip. We live in an older home with the new replacement windows, and had to send these back.

***If they would redesign these from an L to a Step, they could be used.

They are very attractive, and would be great for the old style.

I ordered 12 bronze candles. I received 10 pewter and 2 bronze. At this point, to exchange them would mean not having them for Christmas because of the 2-3 week processing. So I'm returning them all for a refund since I don't have a use for just 2 bronze candles. Too bad...they are nice candles.

This item was just as described. I didn't know if they were light sensitive til 2 days after I put the batteries in, and they do go off in the light and come on when its dark, love that feature about this light.

These are advertised as "designed for double-hung windows". They do not fit all double hung windows. Also there is no photo sensor on them to shut them off during the day. The package says to unscrew the bulb to shut them off. Cheaply made.

I loved these candles when I took them out of the box. After setting all 15 up in the windows, I realized that they had an orange glow. I really do not like the color. They will all have to go back.

For me to have candles in my windows that "take care of themselves" by turning on and off on their own without ugly cords is a decorator's dream! Since I have wooden blinds on my windows and a slim shelf area, I removed the round bottom disc from the candlestick bottom making the candle fit in the space perfectly! They are a perfectly charming addition to the windows of our retirement cottage and exude warmth and hospitality to all who come by!

After ordering a total of 15 candles,I had only one that did not work. My experience with customer service was outstanding since my broken candle was replaced immediately with a new candle without any problems. I didn't even have to send the broken candle back. I can't say enough how pleased I am with the Stay Put Candles!

Have candles in every window of my 1835 half cape and enjoy coming home to the soft light they provide. These lights look great and appear to provide the same amount of light a real candle would provide. I replaced these w/ones that were too bright and limited privacy; needed to be turned on/off thus running up my electric bill. Batteries, purchased on sale making them cost effective, average 5 to 6 weeks.

The candle stays upright and in place without much
effort on my part. Just open the window, place candle where I want it and close the window. It works in double hung windows as well as casement windows.

I didnt know how I would like the under the window style of these candles, but I found I really do like them much better that the ones that simply sit on the window sill. They stay put and little hands or wagging tails dont knock them over or off the sill. Their styling is elegant. If I could improve on anything, it would be the brightness of the LED light.

I have an old 1800's house and these were perfect due to the lack of outlets for plug in models. From a distance the lumination is not as bright as I had hoped, but noticable enough that a neighbor sent me a card this year to say how beautiful the house looked.

These candles looked pretty from the inside. They stayed in place, and the batteries I used (just regular Duracell) did keep the candles "lit" all season long. One thing I didn't like, however, is the bulb produced an orangey light which didn't match the white lights I used outside. I would prefer another bulb, one that was more of a white light.

I loved these candles and was excited to use them with our new doublehung windows but was disapointed when they did not fit. Some doublehung windows have a lip on them for raising the windows and this interfered with the stay put candle.

Gives off a softer yellow light. Is still easy to see from the street but if you want a "bright" white look, these are not what you need. They are perfect otherwise and very reliable with their automatic on/off feature.

I do not have window sills in the upper floors of my house so have never been able to have a candles in the windows until now. These are wonderful and they were easy to install and do exactly as they said they would. The lights come on at dusk and remain on all night or I can adjust them to go off when we sleep. Wonderful

The instructions were very limited. It was only by trial and error that I discovered that the sensors had to be rotated toward the outside light source. Even at that, several did not work. I would like the lights to be a little brighter. They look like spots in the windows, not candle flames. It would also have been wise to mention in the description that they were suitable only in double hung windows...not casements.

I want to leave them in the windows all year round but so far the alkaline batteries I have used are not giving me the candlelight life as described. I used Kodak alkaline batteries but am changing over to Duracells today. Hopefully they'll perform better. I have used electric candles until this year and I like these much better. I was so extremely disappointed with these cordless lights; I had to send them all back. They were so incredibly dim that they were not even visible from outside the windows. I really liked the 'stay-put' design but the quality wasn't worth it. I went back to my electric candle lights.

I bought 28 of these for my victorian home that has limited availability of electric recepticles and while the lights were attractive, they had very poor visability from the street. They are very dim and I would not recommend them to anyone until the technology allows for a much brighter light.

I had been looking at these for some time, as I have narrow windowsills and the lights with cords were never secure on them. I love the look of the lights--they are very easy to set up. The candle holder is designed for an older style, standard, double hung window, not for double hung vinyl replacement windows. I took the candles out of the metal holders and secured them to the center of each window wreath and this alternative use worked just fine. The bulbs do indeed run all season on 2 AA batteries but the glow is very soft and sometimes imperceptible.

After years of struggling with wired window candles, I tried the wireless, battery powered window candles. Although they aren't as bright as the electrical candles, they are much neater and easier to use. Plus, they give me peace of mind over potential fire hazzards.

I used the candleholders at Christmas time in the windows. I like that they use LED lights to save a few pennies. The bottom part can be bent to have it up against the window more (can be a good or bad thing).
