It is a conversation ice breaker. The wonderful glow next to my other candles is unique.

Candle is used is different areas of our home. We enjoy the light that it gives off and is very attention getting and creates many comments.
The bottom cap has come lose and now is stuck to the base. It can be fixed again but becuase the cylinder is hollow it is very hard to glue back together. I will try again with a glue gun as they did in the manufacture of the product.

I purchased this candle lantern as a wedding present for someone who is getting married in Las Vegas, at an Elvis chapel. It's perfect; a modern lava lamp.
Comments about Prism Lantern:
I put a votive candle in a small candle holder and then into the prism. This eliminated messy clean up and still lit up the prism, which is cool in itself. Have gotten a lot of comments!
Comments about Prism Lantern:
I purchased this based on other folk's reviews and was relatively unimpressed until I lit a candle and placed it inside. The light show is mesmerizing to watch and I'm quite happy that I took the chance.
Comments about Prism Lantern:
The spectral colors are groovy, and the minimal styling of the base and globe look great. BUT, I've found that even with quality votive candles, soot builds up rapidly, diminishing the "prism" effect. Furthermore, some of the soot stains seem almost to be burns or discolorations caused by the heat of the flame, and are permanent.
But, I happened to get another one of these, unused, at a "step sale" here in Philadelphia, with the idea in mind that I would use one of those battery-operated flickering LED votives, and it worked out pretty well. Now, I'm thinking about getting another, covering the top with a mirrored plastic to weatherproof it, and hooking up a low-voltage yard light, through the bottom, after cutting a whole in the base. Maybe just a 7 watt bulb, that doesn't give off too much heat. I think that'll look sharp, and I won't have to deal with battery replacement for the pseudo-votives.
Comments about Prism Lantern:
It's very nice, and looks great even with just light hitting it. It does have restrictions about cleaning it if it gets soot on the inside of it from a burning candle, and I don't want to have to try to clean it, so I haven't used any candles in it. Just letting the light hit it is very nice and colorful. Sometimes I use one of my rechargeable lights that look like candles, and flicker, and I like that.

We use this outside at night on the patio and the light show is unbelievable.

This was a birthday present for our daughter. She unknowingly chose it when admiring it in my Gardener's Supply Catalog. She is very happy with it.

The glass gets burned and it's hard to clean
Comments about Prism Lantern:
I put this lantern on my hallway table and lit it for my candle party. It attracted more attention than some of the candles the hostess brought! Everyone wanted to know where I got it.

Bought it on a whim for Christmas--was very glad that we did. It's holographic design really stands out once the candle is lit. Very pretty!
