You asked us for a taller tomato tower and here it is! Our new tomato tower is taller and sturdier too, with a heavy-duty base that will support the heaviest loads.

This is my second set of tomato towers. They are easy to use, effective, easy to store, and durable.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This product is great for tomato plants,I love the fact that you don't have to tie them up in any way they just lay there......PERFECT!!!They are a bit tough to keep in tru, they keep slipping off track, too much time is spent on putting them together, but once you do they are great!!!!! Rust proofing is definitely a must!!!!! There not worth having without it.I hope you can rectify this problem.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This is our third year using the tall tomato towers. I bought them because I hated the flimsy hoop towers which would fall over unless we staked them—and often even then, bent and warped if you looked at them wrong, and were a pain to stack and store.
Our tomato plants can reach 7-8 feet in height if left unpruned, and the tall towers are quite sturdy and will support them without problems. It's easy to get to the interior of the plant for harvest or pruning, and when the season is over the towers fold flat for storage. I LOVE them!
They are expensive, especially if you have many tomato plants, but they are well-made and they last, thus making them a good value. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Bought 2 last year--they were great, so I bought 2 more this year. They held up under huge plants even in some 40+ mph wind. They collapse for storage. They are expensive, so I'll do two a year till I get enough. But, they are worth it for a great tomato.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
product went together okay, but now showing signs of rusting. problably wouldnt purchase it again.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I had been looking all over the internet for a tall enough tomatoe cage for my heirloom and domestic tomatoe plants. I ordered 6 to start and once my husband and I put them together which was very easy, and put them in our garden, we decided to add 2 more. So far so good. Easy to get to the plant to water, pick, plant, add dirt, etc. I would recommend these to anyone.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Use to keep tomato plants tidy and within bounds.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are the only cages that make sense. Everyone wants to know where we got them. Well worth the price.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The height of these is excellent, and the width fits well over the tomato tepees. The wire is flimsier than other cages I've used, the connectors holding the vertical rungs to the horizontal rungs easily come apart when pressing into the ground and are hard to re-insert, and most importantly, 2 of the 4 I received were rusted at the solder junctions. Not the quality I expected for the price or from this company.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
the product fits the intended task
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Really love these tall cages. We had a frost scare one night. It was very easy to pop off the top section, cover tomato plants with tarp and put the tops back on in the morning. The square shape allowed for easy tarping without damaging any little plants.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The towers fit nicely together and hold their shape
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
great to use

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love that each tower comes in two parts, allowing the use of the bottom half alone until the plant is tall enough to require the top half. The tower has the perfect dimensions to fit in our raised beds and to provide support in all the right places for the prolific tomato plant (not too narrow and not to wide). This tower was also the tallest that I could find anywhere, which will be enough for this tower to provide support to the topmost branches where all other cages fall short.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
tomato towers easy to fold and store, very sturdy, not available ANYWHERE ELSE!!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I've only been growing tomatoes for five years. My plants are very tall indeterminates, and each year I've been frustrated by plants that outgrow my cages. My plants also blew over in last summer's heavy storms, causing me to lose a lot of beautiful tomatoes. These towers are the sturdiest I've seen yet. Everyone in my neighborhood is jealous of them!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These work great and are tall enough for the tomatos
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
It has a nice neat look, its roomy , but be careful when putting into the ground it could been easily

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These things are awesome! I grow a variety of cherry tomatoes in very large pots. Last year I had them tied up to an 8 ft. step ladder. The towers fit into my biggest pots and I used a short bungee cord over the edges of the pot to ensure that they don't tip over.Much tidier looking than the step ladder. I will probably get more next year.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought one pair and liked them so much I ordered 2 more for raspberry bushes that are out of control. I like how I can unfold them to wrap them around existing plants. They hold the tomatoes really well.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are much stronger and look to be more durable than the flimsy ones sold at some garden centers. That's why I ordered these. I wasn't disappointed in the quality. Price was more than the garden centers but quality is better and I will have them for years. The cages don't look like they will bend like the other flimsy ones. Raised beds grow giant tomato plants like I found out last year. These should keep them from sprawling and making a tangled mess.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
A reasonably priced, satisfactory tomato cage that can also be used for Dahlias. Stacking for height is a plus. Biggest drawback is that when the cage doesn't go in the ground at a 90 degree angle, a common occurrance, the cage has a tendency to separate vertically. Then you have to either take it out of the ground to try to put it together, or struggle with each fitting separately. A real pain. Not the type of experience I expect from Gardener's Supply.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Not as attractive as your tomato ladders, but certainly the best for managing a large plant

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought five sets (ten towers) last year for my heirloom tomatoes. All ten towers were in good shape when I pulled them from storage this spring. I ordered three more sets (two sets for myself and one set for a friend) and am looking forward to a productive garden.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Great tower! Can't wait to see how tall and fruitful my plants will be this year.
In the past with standard size the plant would fall over on it.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love these towers so far... my tomatoes are thriving. The towers are very tall for the indeterminite plants. Very sturdy and easy setup.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These will be replacing my old three-legged ring tomato supports. I've used the bean towers, I know they are going to be great!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Great in the garden and for surrounding my Earth Boxes. I use two and form a cage around my boxes for maximum plant support.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Used with support staples these are a fundamentally great use for literally all kinds of tomatoes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Easy to store in the winter
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This will be my first year for using the tomato towers I like the fact that they are taller and wider than what i was using before, so i guess i will have to wait to the end of this year to see what happens. But i do like them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The tomato towers were easy to put together. They're sturdier than the old ones I use to to use and don't detract from the garden. I would definitely recommend them.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The tall tomato tower cages I received appeared at first to be well made and well designed with its ability to fold flat, but when actually assembled proved otherwise. Several welds broke, hinged corners came undone, and what I had high hopes for turned into a quagmire and comedy as I had to try and fit the hinges back together and wire the broken weld areas so they would stay together. This happened with both sets. I hope the smaller cages I ordered will not prove to be the same quality.

Provides best support when plants are full & tall; prevents breakage. Had a recent BAD storm & kept them perfectly intact.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We used these cages last season and was so surprise that they held up in our wind weather in the mid west. They also supported our over grown tomatoe plants to the max. We had some tomatoes that weighted in at 5 lbs and not one cage bent. The only issue we had was that we only purchased 2 sets but we planted six tomatoe plants. Little pricey but well worth the money. Will be able to use them again this year.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I grow indeterminate tomatoes. For the summer of 2010, undecided as to which I would prefer, I ordered two of the stacking ladders and two of these tomato towers. The towers win hands down and I am ordering more towers for 2011. The towers, being rectangular in shape, have more stability plus there are many more surfaces (wires) for tomato vines to cling to. My husband and I had to put guy wires on the ladders to keep them up in a strong wind. The towers were fine on their own.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These tomato towers are great. They are very tall & sturdy and the best part is they fold for easy storage when the season is over.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I really like these towers. I live in a windy location so I have to tie them to a support but overall well pleased with the product. Compared to what you can by locally there is no comparison.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Haven't tried yet, but appear to be very heavy/sturdy.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Last year's tomatoes grew fantastically well, and quickly overwhelmed the smaller supports I had for them. One of the disadvantages with growing indeterminate, heirloom varieties.
These towers should do the trick this year.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
it was all that you said it would be and more. thanks. it holds up the tomatoes great.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We are using these tomato towers in our raised gardens and in pots. They are better made than the tomato towers and cages we have used in the past from the local garden stores. They will be easy to store after use. They are very sturdy and will be able to support a heavy tomato crop. The bean towers are also great. We look forward to a splendid garden this year with the help of your products.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The tomato cages [...] I'm very anxious to use them but our winter has been rather long this year, have the cages parked out in our sun room next to the snow shovel. Hopefully it'll be nice from now on...it'll be a while til I can use them but I'm sure they'll do the trick. Last year my heirloom tomatoes took over one of my raised beds and I needed stronger and taller cages for them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have sandy ground and with the 11' legs i'm sure my tomatoe plants will not tip over any more
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Just put in this season's tomatoes and set these up too. Will see if they are more durable than the type I had last season that bent and blew over in the wind when plants were full grown.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Great to support heavy tomato plants and easy to store in winter.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I use them for more than tomatoes. They are great for Cantaloupe, because the melons drop when they are ripe.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I ordered a set of 2 last year, I liked them so well that I ordered 2 more sets since I grow 6 tomato plants each year. I did not have to stake my plants using the towers. Any vining plant could be planted with these towers. Terrific product.
[2 of 2 customers found this review helpful]
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These towers hold the weight of my largest tomato plants where others toppled. I love that they store flat. Buy extra tall earth staples if your plants get large or your area is prone to strong winds. Do not get rough when taking the towers down. The panels will separate at the corners if you get rough with them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
this is a great way to grow tomatoes, very easy to use. sturdy, no more tomato plants falling over in the wind
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
So much better than any thing I buy EVERY season. Others do not last more than a season. These are easy to store, sturdy enough to hold up a full grown tomato plant in the wind, and tall enough to capture indeterminate varieties!
Will definitely get more. They come apart and fold for easy storage.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have used the regular tomato cages, but for some larger tomato plants, these tomato towers work best. My cherry tomato plants tend to get very large, and these towers are great! They hold the taller, heavier plants very well!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I used to have a problem with excessive sprawling and flopping of my tomatoes. These towers make it possible to support them better. I really like the fact that they fold up for storage.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I had these for 2 years and I store them inside for winter, and some of them rusted pretty badly. I have a nice garden and I cannot use rusted supports, looks horrible. I found Texas tomato cages and they also fold for storage, but they are round (won't scratch you) and larger in size 24"x6' and 18"x6' in the same price range, but I hope they would resist rusting. I will be buying these to try.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Finally, a system that holds up my tomato plants. I've tried the store-bought supports and also the tomato ladders. As the plants grew, they got out of control, fell over, etc. The tomato towers actually contain the growing plant, holding the tomatoes off the ground so they can ripen without going bad. Since I am doing one-foot, raised bed vegetable gardening, the towers also keep the sprawling tomato plants from taking over the neighboring veggies. The towers are easy to put together and sturdy. I can't speak to how they will store, since this is my first year with them. But I bought this double set so I will have more of them next summer!

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
BASICALLY A GOOD TOMATOE CAGE. BUT IT IS NOT TALL ENOUGH! MY INDETERMINANT TOMATOES ARE BENDING OVER THE CAGES, SPLITTING THE STEMS & HURTING THE PRODUCE. I BOUGHT AN EXTRA SET TO ATTACH TO THE TOP TO INCREASE THE HEIGHT NEXT YEAR (2011)

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Best tomato cages I have used and I've been gardening for over 40 years. Very strong, held up to strong winds (though I did also use the staples. I used a tomato tower extender with each tower and my tomatoes grew 7 feet tall with heavy yields all summer.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Best tomato cages ever! I have 18 of them in my garden right now, and will order extras to stack double high for my grape tomato plants next year!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:

I used mine for cantaloupe melons. I know when they are ripe because they drop off the vine. Very sturdy!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I use the tall cages for my tomatoes
I will consider using them to grow pole beans and cucumbers next year.
They are well made and strong.
They withstand windy conditions and heavy plant growth.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I grew some dinner sized dahlias this year and was looking for something to support them. The tomato towers worked great! If they were less expensive I would have bought many more.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought these cages 4-5 years ago and ordering 5 more sets today (10 pieces). They're great for growing beefsteak tomatoes + string beans (stack 2 cages up) and it's perfect for it! See picture. They're worth the price
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have limited space in which to grow tomatoes but who can live without tomatoes? This looks like a way to get a lot of tomatoes growing in limited space by expanding upwards rather than outwards.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have tomato plants that are 6-7 feet tall and well supported by these towers! No need for excessive anchoring or tying like the flimsy round ones I purchased at a local hardware store in prior years. I unfolded the towers; anchored with deep ground stakes; and watched my tomato plants grow, and grow, and grow!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
STURDY, TALL. I LIKE THE 2ND STORY ASPECT OF THESE TOWERS.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These towers make supporting tomatoes a breeze. I keep getting more.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These tomato towers are the best! I have tried many different kinds, made my own, but these do the job best. I have been purchasing more from time to time and am a little concerned that the materials used in them are becoming more flimsy over the years. Please! Raise the price if necessary, but do not compromise on quality.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Does the job, as advertised.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are sturdy cages that are very useful for indeterminate tomatoes. I've also used them individually for pepper plants and determinate tomatoes. I first bought them last year, and ordered more this year.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The cages are being used for our tomatoes. They are very sturdy and strong. It was somewhat difficult to assemble and caused some cuts and scrapes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These have come in really handy this season. They are much sturdier than my previous tomato cages. Last year I ended up having to prop up the cages I had, not this year. These are strong enough to support two plants at once.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Every year I've tried a different support system for my tomatoes but now my search for the perfect cage is over. These really work. Love the two stage option. When the plants are small in the spring you only need the base. My tomatoes are in my front yard so the option of not having the tall cages sticking up above the flower garden is wonderful. Add the second stage when needed. Incredibly sturdy - didn't even need the long staples to keep them from falling over. I LOVE THEM.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
So much better than the cheap cages at the hardware store. I like that the connection points are strong, not the cheap welds that fail after one season.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Best product to keep tall cherry tomoatoes upright
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Growing Heirloom tomatoes this yr. They have reached the height of about 7ft. tall. These tomato towers are wonderful for keeping them upright. All looks nice and neat in the garden, instead of a jungle you cant navigate through. I tested 3 different tomato cages and found these to be the best. I will be purchasing 2 more to add to my collection until I have replaced them all.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This product is so versatile, it can be used for other vegetables to grow strong and tall. I am so impressed with the tower that I've told all my neighbors about its benefits.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Bought these for growing pole beans on in a planter. The supports designed for pole beans were too big to fit in the planter but these were narrow enough. So far they are working great and the beans are climbing their way up them. Like the fact that they come apart and fold flat for storage. Much better than the tomato loops that my parent had that were stored in piles next to the garden! Good design.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I am disappointed that in arid Colorado (western slope), it is rusting. The holes are not large enough to get heirloom tomatoes out without bruising. It is a little difficult to line up the 8 parts to get the top on the tower (but cannot think of another way to design it). Despite the foregoing, I prefer the tomato tower to my old tomato cages. It is sturdier and wonderfully tall.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This is the sixth set that I have bought and I have recommended them. They have not tipped over, the openings are big enough to reach the tomatoes. If only they would reachout and pull in the branches that I miss.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The towers are not tall enough to support the tomatoes that I have this year. My tomatoes are over 6' tall. (72") about 2 feet taller than the towers and still growing. Two 4 footers that can be stacked would have been a better option.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have used these towers for several years and would not consider buying any other type.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Our cone-style tomato frames were bent out of shape in a storm, and the plants were bending over badly; we thought we'd lost them. We decided to try the tomato towers and it was an excellent decision. They took a bit of 'tweaking' to assemble, but the extra few minutes was worth it. They withstood a HUGE storm in the Washington DC area last weekend, remained upright and the plants are still intact. Our hummingbirds think they make great vantage points too! I would definitely recommend these towers - I'll probably buy more of them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Some tomatoes just keep growing! These are just tall enough to keep them contained. They are a bit tricky to assemble and place because they come in two sections that separate much more easily than they go together. Once in place, though, they seem quite secure. Just remember to lift and move them while holding the lower section to avoid pulling the upper section off.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I received a smaller one in my Tomato Pot and decided to try the twin towers, these are great-may get some more next year.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
sturdy, tall, easy to use. I just love these.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I ordered these because all other cages I ever had were not strong enough & would fall over. These are sturdy enough to hold my huge tomato plants. I only ordered 1 set, so I will need to get more!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
If you need sturdy tomato cages, you can't go wrong with these!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I no longer have room for a large garden but I still have a few tomato plants. The towers are perfect. They allow me to add on as the plant grows. They were very easy to assemble and have eliminated my need to search for string and poles in addition to the regular cages. The plants are kept from laying on the ground or breaking off. I love them!!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
LOVE these tomato towers. They keep the plant off of the ground and there's plenty of room for the plant to grow fully supported and protected. I live in a condo and I love the fact that they fold up so easily for storage. A very good buy.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Seems to work well so far. We sill see how it stands up to a heavily loaded tomato plant.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
They're huge...but my tomatoes are filling them up! I love that I hardly need to touch the tomatoes...I just tuck new growth back in occasionally!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
it was easier to set up than it looked initially
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I am using one as a tomato cage and the other I am using as a pole bean tower as you were out of the bean cages when i ordered. The product is working well as a bean tower, is sturdy and I was glad to see the in ground stakes were long enough to keep the full cage upright. Another Gardner Supply product I am happy with!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I like this product. It works great!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Our cone-shaped tomato frames were blown over and bent out of shape in a severe storm. We knew they were beyond repair, so sent for two tomato towers. [...] We're delighted with them...they needed a little bit of tweaking to close them, but the plants, which we thought we might have lost, are upright again, well-supported by these sturdy items, and are bearing fruit. We've had another storm since then, and they haven't budged. Will probably order more. Thank you, Gardeners' Supply!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
They give wonderful support for my tomatoes. They store easily.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I am fortunate that my tomato plants grow very tall, full and produce well. I needed something to keep the plants upright without having to constantly tie them to a pole and look organized. These tomato towers did the trick. My tomato plants are growing straight up and contained in the cage, making my garden looks great! The openings in the cage are large enough making it easy to harvest my 1lb plus tomatoes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
So far, supports our tomato plants well. The only problem we had was figuring out how to set up the top half of each tower. A phone call to GS answered the question, but a brief written instruction would have been helpful.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Found the towers to be extremely easy to assemble and install. We have 4 large tomato plants and they are well contained in the towers. Good access for watering and picking.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Great to have something tall enough for my plants! The only downside so far is that my tomatoes are trying to escape through the sides. I think I have them trained now so they will go up and not out. My neighbor is jealous of these because they fold flat. I plan on getting a few more for next year.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
For years I had been stacking the shorter tomato cages. With the way thes go together the problem of wind blowing the top cage off is eliminated. I am planning to see how they work with peas and pole beans.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I enjoy growing heirloom tomatoes. Most heirlooms are indeterminate plants that tend to sprawl. The tomato towers are the only support system I have found that works. The first ones I ordered were so effective I added two more this season.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love these cages! No other will do!! Easy to break down and store. Some patience required with assembling the stacking (for one person), but not bad. Durable, won't topple, last year after year. Definitely worth it!!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These cages are almost as good as the Texas tomato cages at a much more reasonable price. I would still prefer a heaver gage wire, but I have not had any trouble with these towers.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I grow tomatoes in pots on the patio and have trouble keeping them upright. The standard cages just aren't tall enough. These have the added height that I really need.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
For years I fussed with stakes, cone-shaped cages, and fencing to hold up my tomatoes. These cages take the work out of that process - they are phenomenal!! The plants are all healthy - no staking required. Easy to reach in and do pruning or tomato picking. Great product! Highly recommended!!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are very sturdy and easy to use. I like how they fold flat for storage...you can either lean them against a wall, or lay them down. I started with two, and liked them so much, I had to buy more.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These sturdy towers also support string beans and peas[...]Have been please with all purchases from this site.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
After the website hype, I was disappointed to see the product was manufactured in China. The joinder tubes were not aligned/welded as well as I'd prefer; I'm not convinced the product will last for years. Wire guage provides good stability.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I am using the bottoms of 2 tomato towers for my beans and peas in my raised beds. They are working great. Maybe next time I will use them for tomatoes, but then again, maybe not.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I used this product to replace tomato cages made from concrete reinforcing mesh which rusts too easily.. Height, width, ease of placement and storage are great but some of the welds separated and the metal rusts easily.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Supports the most robust tomatoes. Stores with ease.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
very satisfied, holds up the heaviest of my tomato plants, plus allowing easy access to pick ripe tomatoes
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The towers do a fine job keeping the tomato plants contained and off the ground.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are sturdy & make it easy to keep tomato plants trimmed up. They fold completely flat but are strong enough to support the heavy tomatoes. I've tried other designs that weren't worth the less expensive price because they collapsed.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
these totally fit the bill so far, although I wish I had placed them around my grape tomato plants-they've gotten huge and I could use the extra height to support them! They weren't difficult to assemble and I plan to buy more for next year.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Recommended by a neighbor. Oklahoma has strong winds and hot summers and these withstand them famously. Also, last for decades. Genuinely worthwhile.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are exactly as advertised but cost about twice what they should. Manufactured [...] from wire, I can't believe a profit could not still be made if the cost was halved.I'll be making my own in the future.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Purchased 2 sets last year and again this year, as well as a set for a gardening friend who was so impressed with mine. Srong, heavy duty support, especially for very large and tall heirloom tomatoes, that were difficult to suppoet in older traditional cage.Only drawback is the insert places for the top section, as well a the top section inserts rust, making it difficult to attach. Will be sure to clean and oil before storing @ end of season. They are easy to fold and store.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have over 33 years as a home gardener, and currently plant 110 square feet of tomato plants each year. This is the best tomato cage that I have ever owned! Not only is the tower very sturdy, but it can be used short for Romas, and then with the extension which is provided, it is tall enough to handle sprawling Brandywine. We have some high winds and thunderstorms that usually knock over my tall tomatoes in the filmsy, inverted cone shaped cages that I have had to replace many times. I wish I knew about this tomato tower years ago, so that I could have saved myself money, which I could have used for more gardening toys!! :-)
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This is the second set I have ordered and I will eventually replace all my old cages with these. The only thing I don't like is the way the rungs of the cage are bent downward, I sometimes snag my arm or sleeve while picking or weeding.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This product does the job well.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Long sturdy base is easy to get into the soil and stays in place. The towers protected 3-5 foot tomato plants and remained upright during a 75 mile per hour wind storm this past week. The openings are large enough to provide easy access for harvesting produce. I also use for cucumbers and squash.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Aside from the obvious- in my vegetable garden for my tomatoes, I also am using on to support a pepper plant that I have in a large pot on my patio.
The collapsing feature makes easy storage after season.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Easy to store and does not take up alot of space.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These tomato cages are off to a great start in my 5 year old self watering tomato pots. They seem like they will be able to hold a lot of vines and the tomatoes as they start to load down. Given the height I will need to tie the tops to the garage so they don't topple - they are simply too tall to stay upright, especially if there is a bit of wind.
Love that they fold flat for storage over winter.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Seem well made, but I have only had them for about a month. Easy to assemble and since they fold flat they will store well. Very tall!!! Could be used for anything that climbs, not just tomatoes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I used the smaller towers previously, but the 2 section ones are really alot better.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have used the flimsy round tomato cages in the past. Never again! These were easy to assemble and are tall enough to contain even the biggest plants. And talk about sturdy!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The frames for the plants work well in sustaining winds. The tomatoes held up well!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Well-made, very useful

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I used these in my Square Foot gardening boxes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Good and sturdy but would be more useful if designed to stack 3 high for the indeterminate varieties.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These cages are simply the best!
Absolutely sturdy! We liked them so much that we ordered more.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love these cages because I use them for tomatoes, peas and pole beans. They are very sturdy and are a well constucted support for the plants. The square design enable me to grow more plants in my small garden space and keep the weeds under control.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have these holding up pickle vines and tomato plants with not a hint of toppling over. Well made and should last for a long time. Good size openings for easy picking, easy clean-up and they fold flat for storage.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
So easy to use
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love this product! They are made of heavy-gage metal to support the plant and hold up the tomatoes. Yet, they are light-weight and fold down for easy storage.
And, they are a very attractive addition to my garden.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We bought one set and liked them so much we bought a second. These seems to be tall enough to control those aggressive cherry tomatoes in late summer.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
They have yet to be tested by growing tomato plants. Appear to be sturdy and supportive. However, assembly was difficuld. The units were jammed togeather and had to be pried apart. Lining-up the top section legs with the openings at the top of the bottom section was a challenge initially. We found that inserting one side first then rocking the top unit away from that side gradually matching the two adjoining sides and finally the opposing side worked quite well. Perhaps the instructions could suggest that approach.
I'm a native Burlingtonian. My grandfather managed a dairy farm in the Interval.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Nice product, Sturdy, folds up nicely for storage. Much better than your normal tomato cages
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The cage is strong, easy to set up, and stores flat. The height seems quite sufficient for my tomato plants.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love the tomato towers. Anything that does not take up a lot of storage space is a big plus for me. Can't wait to see how they support fully grown tomato plants.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These towers are great! They were easy to assemble and secure, and while light to hold, the material is strong and durable. So far, our tomato plants are growing beautifully, with their limbs resting on the tower "squares" for support. We're anxious to see how the towers and plants do when the tomatoes are fully grown and producing fruit!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Very sturdy and good-looking. I used the extra-long pins with mine, and it has survived 2 severe storms beautifully—and the tomato plants looked untouched, while other plants were knocked flat by the wind.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We love these tomato towers. It is June 8 and our tomatoes are already taller than us and rock solid. The poor heirloom "mortgage lifters" that didn't get a tower are falling over and taking their wimpy round cage with them. I wish we had 10 more.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
They're great. Nice and tall for those tomatoe plants that tend to climb over the cover shaped shorter ones.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Nice & tall - lots of tomatoes cause tipping sometimes - Great for pole beans, zucchini, pickling cukes, etc.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Excellent for large tomato plants. Sections separated when frame was being inserted into the ground and were tough to reconnect. Heavy duty wire frame doesn't bend when pushed into the soil.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are great tomato cages. Easy openings in the side to reach the tomatoes and easy to assemble. They come in two parts so you can just put one part at first and add the upper section later as needed.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The two piece construction is nice because you can add the upper piece as your tomatoes grow in height. They fold up when not in use which is a nice feature.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Towers work as advertised--keep tomatoes off grd, easy to assemble, tho I had to flake some rust off, make it easier to walk ard the garden as well as having a tidier garden. Am ordering more as this year I planted more tomatoes plants vs. last year & know they will need towers. Never will use the cone cages again.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are tall enough and sturdy. It is great that they come apart and collapse for storage. They also work well with the tomato craters which I love.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Supports my tomatoe plants and easy access to harvest the ripe ones.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I put the Tomato Towers in my raised vegetable garden. They were easy to put together and are strong and durable. They have not blown over, even in high winds and storms. I also took one appart to plan ahead on how I would store it. The product will be easy to store.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This is the second set of these cages that we have purchased because they work so well at containing the tomato plants. The are sturdy and will not blow over in the wind. They contain plants that grow very large. Last year we had a tomato plant that grew up, out the top, and over the sides of this cage and it produced loads of tomatoes. These cages allows you to let the tomato plants grow free like that. They produce more when they have more branches to produce from.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I ordered 2 of your tallest tomato towers among other items and I am SO pleased with them. I had the 2 sections connected together until recently when I discovered that 2 out of 4 of our red cabbage plants had been eaten by some varmit. I took off the upper sections of the tomato towers and stuck them around the remaining cabbage plants since our cabbages will be harvested before our tomato plants are tall enough for the upper sections. My husband now thinks I am a gardening wizard for saving our remaining cabbages from critters. I have to give your all the credit for creating such wonderful and practical tomato cages. We will own these for years to come...I just love them AND all of the other products we have purchased from you. Thank you!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This set of towers was added to the set I bought last year. They fill the bill for controlling tomato plants, especially if you have an indeterminate type tomato--the tower can handle the load.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Works wonderfully in keeping my tomatoes from falling over!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have to find sunny spots all over because of so many trees and these towers are great for using wherever the tomatoes are planted. I've used them in the ground and in pots. They are a wonderful solution. A little expensive so I buy a few more every summer.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I did lots of research and the tomato towers are the very best product out there. Easy to assemble, convenient to store. I am completely satisfied and would recommend them without reservation.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These cages look as good as the shorter cages from Gardner's that I have been using for years (sturdey, easy to store, no rust, easy to install/assemble). I had some of my tomatoes grow up and over the top of the shorter cages so I thought I'd give these a try. This is my first year of use but if there are as good as the shorter ones, I'm sure I'll love them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Have tried the circular types that are flimsy and hard to use and created a storage problem. So far so good. Time will tell on durability.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Used for tomatoes and climbing vegetables!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I use these in my Earthboxes. They fit well with the bottom ground spikes just over the outside of the boxes..extra large cages go over the outside and regular cage fit perfectly inside the boxes. They held up so well last season, I bought more this year...heavy metal not like other cheap ones sold elsewhere.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These corral our tomatoes like no other cage we have tried, even giving decent support to our huge heirloom Mortgage Builders. I love the way they snap open to set up and fold easily for off-season storage. Ordered 12 this year and am using them for pole beans too.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Super Sturdy & Galvanized
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
easy storage
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
It is working well for tomato growing in large pots. Only hard part was the matching of the top to the bottom. Does require more than one person putting it together.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Tomato towers are a great tool for containing the growth into a defined area and especially good when you you have a limited growning space.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
see cons above
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I am using them for cucmbers and green beans. too early for how they perform with lots of veggies on them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I grow a lot of heirloom tomatoes, some of which get quite tall. I've tried lots of methods to support my tomatoes including staking, spiral stakes, traditional cages, etc. Last year I bought two of these cages to try out. They are tall enough to support my heirloom varieties and wide enough to provide a stable base. No more tying up top-heavy tomato plants. I'm buying more this year!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Not sure about these. Our garden is new, with soft/deep soil. But when I push these into the ground the corners come apart. You have to keep them very level as you're pushing them in. Seems like the corner loops should be closed tight enough keep them from slipping apart.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This tower is better than having strings holding up the tomatoe vines.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Easy to put together. The wind dosen't blow them over. Easy to pick fruit inside the cage area.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We originally purchased 4 sets and have on order two aditional sets. These are much better than the wood cages I previously, look better and are easier to store off season. Have recommended them to several people and had two neighbors ask for information on them.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have to withhold judgement on durability as I just got these. However, I can say that I'm impressed so far. I have had the round cages in the past and hated them. I ordered a similar product from another company earlier this year, and Gardener's Supply's product is FAR superior with a better price. I'm very pleased with these tomato cages so far. They are well made, easy to install and are working great. I might add that they've also survived the first torrential storm of the season here in North Texas (high winds & flooding rains).
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
i purchased some of the shorter cages last year. they worked great, and are so easy to store. had to get more this year, and hope for a great crop
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I think it is the sturdiest support I have ever seen.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Using for my tomatos. They are sturdy, heavyweight, and don't tip over (like conventional tomato cages). Easy to store at the end of the season because they fold down flat.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I typically have 7' tomato plants & these cages are a godsend. They help keep the plants neater and allow for better disease and pest mgmt b/c so much of the plant is supported and off the ground. Access to the fruit is great. I just wish they made them taller!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
we have very vigorous tomatoes- the heavy gauge is great. The extra tall dimensions are great.
Thanks
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Very sturdy and great that they fold flat for storage.

Very Sturdy and provides easy acess to tomatoes! I love them!!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The Tomato Tower really supports the plant and when the season is over, it's a snap to store.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Sturdy and well built, just what I've been looking for for my Patio Potted Tomatos. I grow tomatoes in 22Dia. pots on my patio and every year I get 5 foot tall tomatoe plants loaded with tomatoes and have always had trouble supporting them. I ordered 4 cages and I secured a cage to each pot and am sure this year I won't have to worry about them blowing down. I'm so happy about how they are working for me that I'll be ordering 4 more.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are well constructed and impressive in their portability. I like product's feature of ability to add height when needed. It would be helpful if an optional plastic cover was available to fit over the entire "cage". This could function as a mini greenhouse.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This tower won't tip in strong winds like some I've used in the past.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These tomato cages are so sturdy and well-built they will last for 10+ years. When I opened them, I thought putting the two towers together would be a 2 person job. I was so WRONG. They nested together easily. I plan to use them for my Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes. In past years I have had so much trouble supporting the vines. That will never be a problem again.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I plan to use these for cucumbers, pole beans, and tomatoes. I love how space-efficient and neat they make the garden, and how easy they are to store. I don't see much difference between these and the bean tower I bought last year, but these are only about half the price, making me able to increase from one tower to 5.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I was constantly tying up loose, heavy braches of the tomato plants. Now they ar easily supported.
But as the plant gets fuller, I have some concerns about air flow and disease conditions.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Towers allow you to grow tomatoes upward instead of out which is great for smaller gardens. Also
allows you to tie up plant on several areas of the
tower so you can open up the plant for maximun
air circulation and sunshine.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I keep buying them. Last year I used them for cucumbers and malibar spinach as well as tomatoes, of course. They keep my garden neater so I can take better care of my plants.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I grow sweet peas, and garden veges, peas, beans cucumbers, and tomatoes. Like being able to add extra height when needed. I use them in my self watering vegetable boxes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I purchased 2 of these for my 2009 garden and they were terrific. Unlike many tomato cages, these sturdy beasts were unmoved by the vines pulling on them. I was so impressed I purchased 4 more for the 2010 garden.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Long Prongs to anchor well in the ground. Very sturdy wire that they are made from. Fold up nicely for storage.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These tomato cages are so much better than the ones I have bought at the hardware store. They assemble in minutes and store easily without a lot of room. They did a good job of plant support and containment. My neighbor was so impressed he ordered for himself.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Although a seasonal item my excitement for effective and sturdy tomato towers cannot be contained! These are exceptionally tall and adaptable to your own height requirement and heavy weight enough to withstand formidable tomatoes. I look forward to the planting season and the opportunity to use these in the garden.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
After years of not doing so well in the staking department (being something of a laissez faire gardener) I decided to splurge out on a pair of these taller cages, even if they were a bit pricey. I now wish I'd had them years ago because they almost paid for themselves this year in the time and hassle saved as well as getting a better yield. They did just as well with a more sprawling salad tomato as they did at holding up a fairly heavy beefsteak type and even accommodated the overrun from a third rambunctious tomato vine in one of those round cage horrors.
They held up well over the long California growing season with no bending or twisting and I may well be getting two more in the spring. Would definitely recommend for beginning veggie gardeners.
Only 1 star off for price and wishing they could be maybe a few inches taller.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought these for last season and was so pleased that I have returned for more. They were excellent at supporting our tomato plants and were very easy to set up and take down for winter storage. I will not go back to tying up plants to a stake anymore. This was soooo much easier and worth it.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Good support, reuseable, easy to store. I use with the self-watering rolling planters for tomatoes on the deck.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Makes training tomatos off the ground much easier and less time consuming.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Very good product. Very easy to set up, and provided excellent support for my three tomato plants. Much taller that the supports I had for them. Also fold flat for easy storage.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I used the towers for tomatoes and giant Dahlias. They fold and are easy to store. They are not powder coated so they still look new (after two years so far).
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
much more sturdy, easy to prop up the plants
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Much easier to use and store than the home-made tomato cages I've used for years. Suggestions: 1) Wire receptacles should be on the bottom of the upper section (not top of the lower one) so water doesn't accumulate in them. 2)Sharp edges on wire ends can scratch you if not careful. Should have been rounded off as part of mfg'g process (would add some to cost). I capped them with electrical "wire nuts" (solderless/twist connectors) which should last a few seasons.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
they are tall enough the towers to hold the larger tomatoe plants. love them and 4 friends bought some too after seeing mine.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I haven't used these yet but they seem just as described and are nicely made, for a galvanized metal item.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
i use it with my tomato and cucumbers, my garden is small so it is in multiple use, folded for cucumbers and open for tomatoes' keeps my garden looking clean which i like
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I purchased sone tomato ladders (with the extensions) AND some cages to see which I prefer before ordering more for my indeterminate tomatoes.
My plants at this point range from about 2' to 5' tall, and so far, both the ladders and the cages are doing their jobs nicely.
Visually, I prefer the ladders.
Will report back as my plants progress in height.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I already had a set of two tomato towers. I used them last year and this year. I also had conventional cone shaped supports. Last year my tomatoes did not do well due to lack of sun. Over the summer of 2008 I lost two mature trees in my yard--one to spring storms and the other to Hurricane Ike (exatly one year ago today!). So this year I have more sun, and made two more gardens in a now sunny area. I used the tomato towers and the cone shaped supports. No comparison. The towers held my heavy tomatoes up even when they were very heavy with fruit. Next year all four of my plants will be supported by the towers.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have a number of very tall native plants that need propping up. Nothing else is as tall as these towers, so I build and separate them to become more linear and surround the large plants. The plants then remain upright. I use the towers on green headed coneflowers, New York ironweed and a cup plant, all of which grow to 10-12 feet.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
At the beginning of the season I purchased a set of 4 of the shorter tomato cages. They were too short for all but one heirloom tomato. So, now I'm going to try these next season. Maybe I can use the shorter ones for something else.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have four of these cages from three years ago and they hold up well. The big plants don't tip over like with some lighter weight cages.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We had ordered and used these tomato cages a year prior. Because of their expense, we decided to use a shorter, less expensive tomato cage. As the plants got larger, the cheaper cages began to tilt--so we bought poles to keep them from falling over. With the first windy storm, the cheaper cages fell over. The tomato cages from Gardners Supply stayed put and did not sway in the storm. We have now bought two more cages from Gardners--we will probably add two each year. They are well worth the extra expense.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I put out 24 tomato plants each year. For years I supported them with flimsy wire cages that sagged and sometimes fell over. By next year I'll have all my tomato plants supported with the tomato towers. They do not sag or bend under the weight of a bountiful yield of tomatoes. And that part of the garden looks great, too, even late in the season when the garden has become riotous. I'm also able me to place the plants closer together, since the towers guide the plants toward vertical growth.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I used this for my tallest tomato plants without securing the towers in any additional way. Harvesting the cherry tomatoes was easy and the towers withstood typical NM windiness. Removing leaves to encourage ripening from the bushier tomato plant was harder but I have had more trouble with the usual tomato cone supports. Initially,it was hard to pry one of the towers apart from its folded into fourths shipping position- I used pliers and upward and downward force which popped the rods out of the side coils. Reassembling required that I bend the rods a bit to get them to stay in the coils, but this did not seem to affect the sturdiness of the tower. I plan to store the towers folded in half.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These do work really well.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
bought eight of these cages for growing our tomatoes
bought eight more for next year they are easy to use and easy to get to the tomatoes, also no more tying up
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These worked great for indeterminate plants. They were plenty tall.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The tomato tower is easy to use amd grows with the plant. I do wish that the wire gauge was heavier but this product is working well for us. This year was the first year we've had plants over 5 foot tall and are heavy with tomatoes. The fruit was much easier to get to with the tomato towers and have stood up through heavy storms.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
TOMATOS ARE EASY TO PICK- YOU CAN KEEP THE CORRECT SPACE BETWEEN EACH PLANT-FOLD FOR EASY STORAGE-NEVER HAD ONE FALL OVER
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Since I needed heavy duty cages that would support 6 foot plants in a small garden area, these were the perfect solution. Thanks
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
It makes more room in the garden in a small garden plus it makes it easier to pick the tomatos.for the other st
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This tomato tower is the best thing I have ever used. Stays put, and keeps the plants upright and protected. I usually have about 12 to 15 tomato plants and I plan to purchase more of the towers for all my plants. AAA+
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These towers are sturdy, hold the weight of a heavy tomato crop, and the "legs" are long enough to keep the tower solid in the ground. The fact that they collapse/fold makes them easy to store. I purchased two of these about three years ago, and have just purchased 10 more. (OK, so I may have just a few too many tomato plants, but no tomato will go un-eaten!) The older cages have held up very well. My only complaint is that two of the "sleeves" that hold the top section to the bottom section have fallen off. The sodder/weld must have broken. This may have happened during the winter, when I didn't get them stored inside the garage. The cage is still functional, and I will be more careful to store the new towers in the garage over the winter. The large 8" openings allow for easy picking, and also give space to bring new growth up into the inside of the tower (even if it's a week or so before I get back to the vines). Well worth the investment, with a little care in storing inside over the winter. Great for indeterminate tomatoes, any variety of tomatillos, and taller pepper plants.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
easy to use and store; excellent support
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This is my second set of tomato towers. I loved the ones I got last year and purchased a second set. They just pop right into shape, taking no time at all to set up, or take down. Plus, if I am diligent in tucking in the vines as they grow, there's far less to tie up than with other cages. When I used shorter cages I always had to pound tall stakes in the ground to keep them upright and provide something to tie the vines to.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Works great for keeping tomato plants off the ground and upright in the wind. Easy to reach through to pick ripe tomatoes.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought these for my two Earthboxes with 4 plants total. The plants were semi-established (about 2.5 ft high) and I needed to stake them somehow - saw a you-tube video of a womans'earthbox garden who had used these extra tall towers on her tomatoes in her Earthboxes. She used in a diamond shape, since they are square, so did I. This year is an experiment for me-I have tomatoes in the ground, in the hanging upside down planter here in this website and I bought 5 Earthboxes. The self-watering container plants are by far the most abundant growing plants that I have. These towers are providing the necessary strength that these plants need to withstand the wind and the weight of the plants in general. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone growing tomatoes, they are meant for the ground garden, but they can be modified for container planting too.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I garden in a city. The tomato towers hold my tomatoes, cukes and small pumpkins off the ground. They work great for peas and vining crops as well in saving precious space. My garden looks well kept and organized to those passing by (and to my husband, a tidy man). It is amazing how much I can fit into my small space by using the towers!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I really like the fact that there are no sharp parts in the design to scratch me as I harvest my crop and how sturdy these towers are.
I would like to see a larger variety in height and the distance of each support arm on the units to use with other plants that I would like to grow vertically (melons, beans, cukes, etc . . .)
I do not like the idea of add-on heights because they usually have parts that scratch my arm when I try to pick my crop. I believe that this one piece design of support made especially for beans, cukes and melons would be great.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The Tomato Tower has been the answer to flimsy cages that mangle and crush under my tomato plants. They are sturdy, fold easy for storage, and are tall enough to allow your plants to thrive. You should fully install the bottom cage in the ground before inserting the top. Otherwise when you push the tower down, the top has a tendency to pop out of place, especially during installation. I do plan to buy more for next season.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
This tomato support is the finest and sturdiest I've ever used. The long legs reach far into the soil, keeping the tower upright. My plants just keep growing taller!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are the best quality tomato supports I have found. I liked them so much I ordered enough for all my tomato plants. They really do stand up in heavy wind.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought two of these, and they're wonderful. My tomato plants are filling them in, and they are well supported. I haven't even needed to tie them. In fact I haven't needed to do anything to them but watch them grow. I would highly recommend these tomato towers, though I wish that they were a little less expensive.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have always had problems when my tomato started producing fruit. my old cages bent and had would fall over. With this one I have not had this problem. It allows my tomato plant to grow tall and strong. I would not trade this for anything.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Love these tomato towers...are tall enough, solid enough, and love how they fold up for winter storage. Would definitely buy again.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
In my 50+ years of Gardening, I have used every imaginable product and method to cage tomatoes. These rugged towers are by far the best product of its kind I have ever found. Each year, I find myself buying another set or two. The towers can handle even the tallest tomato plants, with the largest fruits. Once in place, you simply continue to feed the branches of the plants through the opening in the towers. There is no need to tie the plants. I recommend placing the towers over the plants as soon as possible after planting. I usually use a small green plant stake in the beginning to give the plant support until it reaches the tower. I find it most effective to have the tower in place in the beginning for ease of installation.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Very sturdy tomato supports, however the ends are unfinished and keep catching my clothing every time I bent down to weed or collect the produce.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
My indeterminate heirloom tomatoes are loving the cages. I am happy, too.

I got a couple of these to use in my tomato containers on the deck. They were perfect for that as the footprint is smaller than some towers I have. I'm going to order more to use in my raised bed next year. They're good and sturdy - unlike some of my others that drive me crazy trying to set them up.

I AM VERY WELL PLEASED WITH THE TOMATO TOWERS. VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE, LIGHT WEIGHT, HELD TOMATO PLANTS UP REAL GOOD. KEPT THEM INSIDE THE CAGE, THEY DID NOT FALL OUT. PLUS I WILL HAVE THEM FROM YEAR TO YEAR. THEY ARE VERY STURDY. GLAD I BOUGHT THEM. THEY WERE BETTER, THAN USING POLES, LIKE I USE TO USE. EASY TO TAKE APART, AND SAVE FOR NEXT YEAR. DOLORES

These towers have done a great job containing and supporting my tomato plants. I especially like that they fold flat for storage, eliminating the need for a lot of space.

very well made and easy to put together. heavier than other similar products.

I used my tomato towers for hierloom Rutgers tomato plants, which seem to grow taller than most tomato plants and need the added support the towers provide. I reordered in July, four more sets of towers. It's too late to use them on tomatoes in my area, but eggplants and peppers are just beginning to branch out. The two halves separated make an adequate support for either. I couldn't be more pleased with the results I'm getting from this product.

First time to use these instead of classic round tomatoe cages. Love that these can fold up at the end of the season. The provide a wider and taller area for the tomato.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I had been searching for decent tomato cages for a while before buying these. I initially bought two cages and then purchased more after seeing the heavy-duty construction. PROS: The cages are two-piece and fold flat for storage. The grids are large enough to reach through to pick larger tomatoes. CONS: The cages are a bit pricey. Also, when trying to push the legs into the ground, the cage can come apart at the corners. You must work around the cage pushing each leg into the ground a little bit at a time while attempting to keep the cage somewhat level. Using this method minimizes the cage coming apart.

Currently used for my indeterminate tomatoes. Could be taller with a little more space between the wires.

I had been looking for some sturdy tomato cages that would fold flat for winter storage, and I finally found them here. They are fantastic, and I am almost ready to attach the tomato cage extention to make them taller.

I can't begin to explain how thrilled I am with my Tomato Towers! I just knew there had to be a product that was strong, attractive, easy to use and store, rust proof, and at a great price! My neighbors and family all think they're great too and I have given them my old catalogs to look through. I also used the towers for my cherry tomatoes I have in large containers on my patio. Simply perfect!

The best answer for fragile tomato plants
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love these tomato towers. They are strong enough to support the biggest plants and keep them off the ground.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The tomato towers do what they are advertised to do, (which is rare these days), I have used the traditional cheap tiered tomato cages and once the plant is heavy with fruit I have wrestled with my tomato plants to get them upright again.
With these tomato towers, they are heavy duty, they don't bend when you push them into the ground, you can pick your tomatoes through the cage comfortably. I liked them so much I ordered 2 more this year and they are affordable, especially in these tough times.

Sturdy and fold easily for storage.

Great product. I love the stacking feature.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
this is a great product - nice and high and sturdy so that you will not have ot worry about the plant over growing the support. I put mine on after the plant was a little too big-but unlike other supports that make a mess when you do that-this one was easier to mamage and i did not damage the tomato plant.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
In the Spring I ordered 4 towers. After planting my tomatoes and placing the first part of the towers, I was so impressed that I ordered 4 more towers for the remaining planted tomatoes instead of using the baskets that I used previously. When the tomatoes became established, I attached the remaining part of the tower with ease.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Finally...a tomato cage that actually can hold all of the tomato plant as it grows and produces fruit throughout the season. I wish I'd had these 20 years ago! Definitely worth the wait!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The cages are great but they rust where they fit together.

So easy to set up; very sturdy tall cages for your growing tomato plants
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These extra tall tomato cages are perfect for the larger plant varieties such as the beefsteak.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The towers are so easy to assemble, and my garden looks neat and pretty. My tomato plants seem to respond to the support on all sides without my having to tie them. The plants inside are healthier, by being held up for good air circulation and sunlight.

I love how they collapse to store.

Support for our tomatoe plants.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I purchased 4 of the tomato towers last year and I ordered 2 more this year. I would not consider staking my tomatoes with any other product. No matter how tall and bushy the tomatoes get, this product has the strength to handle it. It also stores easily because it lays flat. Thank you.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I use the towers to support tomato plants. I have used round cages and even made my own, but these are still the best. We have heavy soil so they can be hard to set into the ground so it is sometimes helpful to have two people helping push the opposite ends into the ground. I usually have to add extra supports due to Nebraska winds. I find that the towers store easily taking up very little space. All in all, I will continue to use these and purchase more even though I feel that they are a little costly.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The towers are nice. Assembly is easy and straight forward, all you have to do is unfold them. I had the weld on 2 seperate cross bars near the bottom break when pushing them in the ground. The ground wasn't that hard, recently turned sandy type soil. That disappointed me for the price they charged. The towers are tall and should do well to support even the largest of plants. It's nice that they fold flat for winter storage. They are better than the round cages by far.

I ordered one for my daughter's garden last year. She requested more this year since they are far superior to anything avalailble at local garden supply centers. Plus they are easy to store since they fold flat.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I am using these for squash plants, I think they will be strong enough for the weight of the squash.I will probably buy more for my tomato plants next season. They slide together so they are pretty tall for tomato cages which is great, and they are certainly stronger than the flimsy things you get at the Home stores. The only problem is that one of mine was stuck in the fold position and we had trouble getting it opened up. Be careful as I pinched my finger, use a screwdriver if needed. The other 3 parts I didn't have any problems opening up.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Great cages for tomatoes. They are very study and hold steady during high winds. Our tomatoes are already above the top, but we don't like to let them get much taller that 6ft anyway. The only downside would be that it needs to be a little bit wider. At 14 inches square, some of the bushier varieties will need to be squeezed in or the branches may break as they hang over the wire.
Overall, the best tomato cage we have every owned. Easy to store, easy to put in place and it works very well.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The broad bottom for staking and the sturdy height make this structure a favorite! Our tomato plants get bigger than these towers but their weight is well supported. Worth the investment as these towers are durable, effective, and fold for compact storage.

Primarily, I use these on tomatoes. They're great. Since they're a little pricey, I buy a few more each season.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
My husband was very happy with concrete reinforcement wire he used to make his tomato cages and, I have to admit, they worked but they rusted and looked terrible and were hard to store. The tomato towers from Gardeners are wonderful. They fold flat for storing over the winter, they stay shiny and they look brand new from year to year, and most important, they are sturdy and keep the plants neat and within bounds. Very reasonably priced. 100% satisfied with this product.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Like the tall tower to corral the rampant cherry tomatoes. Does a super job holding them up.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are the best tomoato supports I have ever used. I tried them last year and bought enough for all my plants this year. They are rugged and do a fantastic job of supporting the plants. They are easy to assemble and disassemble. The fold flat for storage all winter. If you are growing tomatoes these are the supports to have!

These can be used for the garden tomatoes or to train lemon cucumbers upward.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I use the tomato towers for tomatoes, glads, and any other plants that won't stand up on their own. Most of the items I've ordered have not been used yet, i.e. Markers and Knee pads. The Solar string lights I plan to use at the Holiday Season.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I use these tomato towers for my indeterminate tomato varieties. The size, both height and width, is great in my raised bed garden.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Easy to set up and sturdy. I like being able to use the bottom section when plants are young and then add the top section later as they grow. Best tomato cages I've seen.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I love it because the tomato plant just keeps growing up and up.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have 34 pots and 56 tomato plants. All 28 pots with tomatoes have the towers. The tomatoes can grow up to 8 ft tall and usually do. I add more each year. Lsst year I only had 30 tomatoes. I also use the towers with my cucumbers. They are great. I can put two tomatoes or quite a few cucumbers within them.

Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
These are an excellent value. I grow indeterminate tomato varieties and they get quite tall and heavy with tomatoes. My plants have collapsed all other metal cages I've tried. These towers are strong and sturdy-- I do add an additional tall heavy stake to one side due to the occasional strong winds we get during summer storms, and these towers and my plants come through just great. I highly recommend these tomato towers.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Sure beats the flimsy tomato cages I had been using in the past. Wish I had ordered more.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have used these tomato towers for several years and like the big openings for picking. They are occasionally not tall enough for several of the tomatoes I raise but they are my best alternative.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Holds up the heaviest tomato plants, ends sprawl and fruit on the ground.. I've been looking for something like this for years.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We are impressed with the quality of construction of this product. The extensions are a genius idea as my tomato plants are often well-over 5 feet each summer!
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I bought 4 of the tall towers. I like the fact they are heavy duty and will support tall plants. They were easy to set up and come next year I will more than likely get 4 more. To me it was a good value for the money.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
The cages arrived with the horizontal wires broken away from the verticle wires. Bends and breaks too easily.
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
We use these for our Tomatoes and now have 8 of them. Three years later they are rust free. They work great and are super strong. The large openings make it easy to prune plants. Really like how the fold flat for winter storage. Bought a couple for a friend as a gift and he loves them.

Bent and broke easily during installation though still usable

I wanted something sturdy as well as protecting my plants. Just purchased them, so don't have any negatives about their use at this time. Hope to also use them for climbers (flowers).
Comments about Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
Once I was able to unpack them out of the box they seem fine. Out of the box they were very hard to unfold. Someone needs to look at how these are packed in the boxes. Wish I would have bought these last year instead of wasting my money on the tomato ladders which proved worthless and now taking up valuable space in my shed.
