Now I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn off the grow lights and frying my little seedlings under the heat of the lamps. This is the only extension cord with a timer, AND it accepts 3-prong (grounded) plugs, which all of my grow lights have. It took a little while to figure out how to set up the current time, since the arrow indicating current time is not obvious at first. Also, the pins that determine when the fixture is on or off are hard to push down and pull up. Once I figured it all out though, this extension cord with timer was easy to use. I'm looking forward to many years of having it regulate the on/off timing of my indoor greenhouse lights.

I easily began my indoor seeds under 12 hours of light and didn't have to fuss with it. After a couple of weeks, it was very easy to extend the hours of light by 15 minutes, and I continue to do this every couple of weeks.

I am using it to start plants. The only difficult part was setting the pins, after that it's been trouble free. I like how 1/2 the plugs are run by the timer while the others are not.

I grow spinach etc. under grow lights and could never remember to give the plants consistant light time. The power strip timer controls the necessary light. All I have to do is pick the vegetables when ready. Now if it could just water.

Its great that have this quality of timer to use with my new T5 Grow Light. When its turned on, I can plug my vacuum cleaner into the timer and clean the area. Also, you can close off the plug- in areas not in use to help keep them lint free.

The strip timer does hold an accurate 24 hours. I lose about 2.5hours in each 24 hour period, so nothing was coming on as I had programmed. I am in process of exchanging for another, in hopes this one is just a bust. Otherwise I like the unit.

there are too many small time sets that are difficult to set. There is no clear markers for time set and actul time. This is not user friendly especailly for eldely people

I've plugged my grow lights to keep them 15 hours on and 9 hours off to give the plants time to respire. Most of the timers I've seen at other places look handmade while this one looks a lot more solid.

It's a little tough to get all the timer clips set right, and the directions could have been a little clearer on one side being on all the time and the other being the side activated by the timer. Once I figured that out, it works great.

Using this timer with a three-tier SunLite Garden. Only half of the receptacles (all on one side) have no current. Also, you have to force the plugs into the recipticals. This power strip timer is a good idea but not well made.
