Love the color, style and volume, but rust is a problem. It's good for mixing soil for immediate use, but because the lid sort of "hovers" above the product, soil either dries out quickly or lets the rain in. Definitely not up to Gardener's Supply standards, in my opinion.

This bucket is great for holding my potting soil. Not only is it attractive but it makes it easier to get to the dirt, especially with the handy scooper that hangs from the side.

Since the lid does not fit very well, I will need to find another use for it. Potting soil should be moist. Right now the potting soil will stay in the resealable bags. The bucket is very attractive; I just need to figure out another use for it.

The lid rocks & doesn't seal. It is not watertight, water can get in, moisture can get out. Do not recommend storing soil more than a week. However, for those of us with arthritis who don't have strength to mix large amounts at a time, it is perfect for mixing potting soil with fertilizer, moisture retention material, etc., and then putting immediately into a pot to plant or repot into larger pot. Can easily hand mix reasonable quantities for small to medium pots using attached scoop.

I use this bucket to store potting soil. The scoop that comes with it is useful and sturdy. The bucket is sturdy and nice looking but the lid is set down into the bucket and water can leak in.

I put all the soil from potted plants in the bucket for further use. It looks lovely on the porch and is convenient with the wodden handle and attached scoop. The only thing I would change would be a plastic liner (to avoid rusting at the seams).

I use it to hold a houseplant mixed soil. I can leave it in the kitchen and it looks great. It is easy to use. I wish the cover was a better fit though. It gets more wobbly the less soil that is in the buckett.

I am the type of person who likes to have things look pretty and be organized. When I saw this soil bucket in its great chartreuse color, I had to have it to help organize my gardening shed. The bucket definitely keeps my potting soil mosit and gives me a great looking way to store it. Good bye to the ripped at the top, flopped over, messy bags of potting soil!

I use this bucket to hold our three pups doggie "WASTE", which I store in a closed plastic bag within the bucket. Looks soooo much nicer in the yard, than just a plastic bag filled with doggie poo out in plain sight. The color did fade within two weeks and the bucket is not water tight by any stretch of the imagination. This is a very cute product with many uses. Unfortunately, much improvement is needed in the water proof lid and the on the finish to preserve the color used.

Nice squirrel-proof place to store soil but even wind blown rain gets in. I have it away from an opening and it still gets water in from the top. The bucket is nice and it is better than the bag.

Purchased 6. Not well designed or manufactured. Lid fits poorly, so contents aren't protected from spilling if the bucket is tipped. Hole in scoop handle is awkwardly placed, making the scoop difficult to position on the hook. On 1 of 6 scoops, the diameter of the hole is smaller than the hook.
