This light is easy to setup and use. I have my first batch of starter plants transplanted and am now using it to grow from seed more vegetables. It is too early to plant outside here so this grow light gets things going well. Only problem I've had so far is that the clips used to hold the chain in place like to slip on their own. I just twisted the chain around the top bar to help hold it in place.

Assembly was straightforward and took about an hour. The unit has worked fine and we are starting our second batch of vegetable seeds. One minor quibble is that one of the clips securing the lights does not hold the bulb that well and one end has come loose a couple of times when raising and lowering the light fixture. First season of use, so we have no idea as to durability.

Starting seeds is so esy with this product. I have had wonderful results with germination and the growth rate is quite spectacular.
I wish it were a litle wider- maybe 6" - so it would hold more trays. By moving things around they would all get good light.

When the box arrived I was able to put together by myself. I have it placed in my dining room. I also purchased Cowpots and a timer and together, its a perfect match. The Cowpots fit perfect at the base of the GrowLight and the timer controls the abount of light.

I bought this product to help with growing vegetables from seeds. I don't have good light indoors where I am and last year I did not have much to show for all my effort. It was easy to assemble, though the instructions could be a little clearer. About 3 days after I started using the lights, one of the tubes went out. I was sent a replacement bulb, but it didn't work either. I discovered the replacement bulb and the ballast were impaired. I am being sent a replacement for both. All that aside, I am very happy with the results from using the lights. If I had two bulbs instead of one, I think my plants would be doing better than they are now.
The one minus for me is, once this is put together, I do not want to disassemble to store. However assembled I have no place to store it when it is not being used.

Added a 24 hour timer to automatically extend light exposure during winter months. We have herbs, orchids, African violets, lettuce, etc. mixed together under the light. They seem to love it. Now wish we had ordered the model with legs, but it is fine on a bench.

I just finished putting this unit together, so I cannot yet comment about it's use over time, but hopefully I can update it later in regards to that.
However, I just had to let people know that the assembly instructions really are not well written. Many details are left out that would be helpful, such as which direction is up when putting the stand together, and most importantly, that the light fixture is difficult to get right. I am a technical person, and install complicated systems often, so it may be an even worse experience for those who are not.
It mentions that it is important that the male and female ends need to be on each side. Fine. It completely fails to mention that it actually matters which side the male and female plugs are in so that the connecting cable can be pluuged in. It is hard enough to get the light bulbs in the brackets the first time, not to mention prying them out and reseating them in the opposite side. One of mine made a sickly pop while I was reseating it and now the bulb is loose and the plug thing looks a bit suspect. It is still working, but I'm not sure if it will stay that way.
Anyway, hopefully this info helps someone else, so they know to pay better attention to the light installation.

The table sunlights enable me to grow my vegetables from seeds indoor. When it comes to the spring time I can move the plants to my backyard garden immediately. It shortens the time to start the outdoor garden by at least one month.

As a new gardner, I find this product useful for helping plants, flowers, orchids or herbs grow when sunlight is what is lacking in the house. Nicely designed, so it is acceptable as part of the decor. Only wish would be to find one that had more height.

I start my seeds in early winter as I live in the NC mountains and have a short growing season. This product definitely helps get my plants off to a strong and healthy start. The adjustable height is great and easy to use. The only downside was that it is so popular I had to wait a little longer to get it!

The Sun Lite is great for my violets and other houseplants. When it came a bulb was not working, so I call the company and they were very nice and friendly and helpful. A new bulb was sent to me ([...] and all is working well.

I am using the product to get an early start on my vegetables. I live in zone 9 right on the coastline and we have a very short grow time for most vegetables that like sun. I also have started some cuttings from houseplants for friends and the light does a great job.

This plant light system is well designed and easy to use. One thing I like that you won't find in the instructions: because of the way the actual light is suspended, you can have one end of the light lower than the other. That is nice when starting seeds that grow at different rates. It is bulky and you really need a place to store it assembled during the off season - if you have one. I keep it up all year in my work room. As a side note, I also use it for lighting small items to photograph - nice bright even light. Not what it was designed for but works great for that too.

I am using this product to grow my African Violets inside. It provides wonderful light and they are thriving. The waterproof tray and the adjustable light are big pluses. I am very happy with it.
