I have 1/2 acre vegetable garden. This garden kneeler is the best gardening item I have bought for myself. I can weed and dig and plant for a lot longer time than if I use just a kneeling pad. We are delighted with the kneeler. My husband was disabled in an accident 3 years ago and uses a walker or cane. My age and physical condition are the reasons I bought the kneeler. The problem I have is it is too wide (or not wide enough) for the furrows in our garden. That results in disturbing the soil where we don't want to. It is a little heavy, but that makes it sturdy and I can manage that.

My wife and I both love this kneeler for planting and weeding. I should have bought one years ago. It's very sturdy, and folds up nicely for storage, and the pad is thick, and comfortable. My only complaint is it makes a squeaky sound when I kneel on it. Maybe it's just me because my wife hasn't heard any squeaky noise from it.

Getting down to ground level is impossible unless I am holding onto something very sturdy ... then getting up from that position is arm strenth and my gardian angel pulling and tugging!

This is good for the garden too. But, I bought the older version of the kneeler so the seat would be narrower. The reason is both me & my daugter are small framed and weigh between 100 - 110 pounds. The item is light weight & perfect for us to lift and turn around. The real reason I bought this item was first of all I am getting older and the other is my daughter was born with arthritis JRA a chronic condition that worstens as she gets older and she is going to be 30 this year.

We both have difficulty bending down to wash our car & truck. So I bought the device that goes low to wash the wheels and rims then turn it over for the height & wash the side of our cars. It is weather proof so no problem if it gets wet.

Also we can move it along the body of both vehicles to wash the car & truck comfortabley.

I have looked everywhere for something just like this. Since we both think all car washes do a terrible job and are costly. We spend about 4 hours cleaning our vehicles top to bottom.

I have lower back issues(herniated discs) and have found I can not tolerate the pain in my lower back when I need to work in my flower beds and just trying to pull weeds that pop up in my yard. This bench is wonderful for me. I use it kneeling most of the time because to sit on it and lean over to work on the ground hurts my lower back. When I put it in the kneeling position, I can use the legs which are up in the air to lower myself down to the kneeler and I wouldn't be able to get up if they weren't there to push up on. When I'm tired and need a rest, I just flip it over and set for awhile. It is very comfortable and very sturdy; I weight 200# and feel very secure on it. Also, it is so easy to fold up and store. So glad I purchased it!!

I waited for years to order this product. Checked several options and chose this for the sturdy construction. As an overweight senior who loves her gardening, I can easily get up and down with confidence. The padding on the kneeler and the seat is wonderful!!! I can't kneel so I don't care about the heighth of the kneeling option. The seat is too high to comfortably reach down to the ground level. I would prefer a seat about five inches lower, easier on the hips.

I bought this for my husband who loves to garden. He's had total knee replacements in both legs. Although he no longer has any knee pain, kneeling directly on cement or something uneven is uncomfortable. This 'garden kneeler' is great. It not only gives him a padded basis for his knees (he's now very comfortable on any surface) but almost as important, at age 75, it provides him with stability by using the handles to hold onto when he wants to stand up. After major knee surgery in December, I found it most difficult to kneel with any comfort. In addition, I couldn't get up without using something to prop myself with. This kneeler has solved all these problems for me. The pad is comfortable to kneel on, and getting up is simple with the side handles. It is also great to turn over and use as a seat for many outside chores.
Its portabiltiy is great, I just fold it up and keep it in my deck box.
The only improvement I can think of may be to consider some type of rubber bumper so when it is used on concrete or decking it won't scratch up.

I've wanted a garden kneeler for over three years and finally purchased one. I usually sit on a pad on the ground to weed around trees and flowers -- kneeling is hard for me and getting up from a seated position was challenging. The kneeler is wonderful. It is useful either way you use it. I've ordered 2 for my parents because they each wanted their own and 1 for myself. However, if you are going to use it for a seat, beware that the springs that hold the legs apart are not very strong and with repeated use, even if you only weigh 150 pounds, the legs will begin to buckle under and you might end up on your bum.

Comes in very handy as a seat and kneeler, which is exactly what it's designed to do. Wonderful replacement for the upside down bucket with an old pad on top I was using! If it had the same pad for the seat that is used for the knees, it would be perfect. Seat pad just isn't quite as comfortable.

After sampling several other kneeler's at major local hardware stores, nothing compares to the high end quality of the deep seat kneeler. It's like comparing apples to oranges. The cost may appear to be quite a bit higher than what can be purchased at your local hardware, but the old saying "you get what you pay for" definately applies here. I'd say this is the Cadillac of all kneelers. It's worth the extra $$$ to have peace of mind especially when it comes to the safety of your loved ones.

I have been an avid gardener but I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a number of years ago. As a result I can not stand from a kneeling position with out help. The Garden Kneeler allows me to push my self up using my hands, arms, and legs and do it safely. Very nice.

When the bench arrived, the glue that held the padded seat to the bench, had let go and the seat was flapping off. Because it was too complicated for me to send it back,I have reglued it myself and will keep it. However, I would not recommend it. The quality is not worth the price.

I am recovering from a knee injury and this kneeler has not only prevented further injury, I believe it is aiding further healing by allowing me range of motion movement. I was worried I would never get to garden again. I am also pretty heavy and it is sturdy enough to support me while I get up and down.

Just tried the garden kneeler out for the first time today. It is so very comfortable and easy to use, much lighter than it looks. I found the little spring thingy a little hard to pull to flatten the seat for storage but I have bad arthritis so I have difficulty opening and closing or gripping things anyway. It may get easier to close as you use it more often. I wish I'd known about these long before now. I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis and have a lot of pain, especially bending or kneeling. I am not able to move like I should at my age(41). It is so awesome, I was able to do much more than I normally would have in the time I spent. I would suggest the wider seat one, if you are wavering. I wish I had gotten that one at the time but since this is new I am not returning it. I didn't think the wider seat would make much difference. I was wrong!! The first time I sat on it today I almost fell over backwards.

I used to struggle to get up from a kneeling position so gardening was no longer a pleasure. With the Garden Kneeler I can get up and down with ease. My knees are well padded so I can work longer. When it is time to take a break I just flip it over to make a seat and I bought the tool caddy so my tools are close at hand. It folds compactly for storage and transport. I plan to use the kneeler in my geneology research visits to cemetaries, sometimes I have to get down on the ground to clear away foliage in order to read and make rubbings of tombstones. The garden kneeler will make this much easier. My husband and I are going gemhunting this spring which entails a lot of kneeling I plan to take my kneeler with me and I bought the wider version for him so that he too can be comfortable. I also plan to recommend this kneeler to my brother-in-law who can no longer work in his yard with ease. In other words, the Garden Kneeler is a great tool for those of us with problems kneeling and getting back up, and if you had an indoor version I would purchase it.

I enjoy vegetable gardening as a hobby but I get tired of squatting and I needed a sturdier bench than the canvas ones on the market. This bench is so much more solid than I expected, it rivals a piece of furniture! Very solid, not tipsy at all, sits flush on the ground. It's a bit heavier than anticipated, but that's what was needed for it to be so well built.

If you have creaky knees, this sturdy device gives good support while you lower yourself and haul yourself up again. The surface is soft but supportive for arthritic kness, not wildly comfortable but not painful either. When you flip it over it makes a handy seat. In addition to the yard, I would like to use it cleaning, but it can only be used on carpet, as the supports in both positions are metal and would damage wood floors or tile.

This product saves my bad back. Its uses as a kneeler and as a seat make it a necessity. When I patrol my garden with nippers and a bucket, I also carry my kneeler. I thought this kneeler was just for people with serious physical limitations, but at age 71 I finally realized that my arthritis makes it difficult to get close to the earth. The first time I used it I concluded that it's truly a great idea - very comfortable and makes it much easier to get up and down.

After leg and foot surgery, doing gardening tasks was very difficult - getting down and up, and staying down long enough to get some work done. I had read the reviews on the kneeler and decided to try it. All the reviews were right - it is a wonderful product. It is very sturdy and the padding is easy on the knees. My daughter has no problems, but she liked it so much that I ordered one for her. We also have them on the deck for extra seating when needed.

Bought this for my husband, not knowing if it would hold 220 lbs. It does and he loves it. Easy to handle and easy on the knees. Flip it over and you have a bench to rest on.
