Absolutely no odor at all. We also thought they would start to break down before we got them to our composter. (We collect our kitchen scraps for 4-5 days before dumping into our giant compost bin). They they don't leak or tear and they hold a surprising amount of waste.

These BioBags are a great value for the cost. They hold a lot of scraps and last at least a week (if they're not full by then). They really make in-home composting much easier. The bags are the right size to fit the buckets and can be dumped right into our outside compost bins - much less messy than what we were using before.

I keep a biobag in a large bowl on my kitchen counter to collect kitchen scraps, banana peels, coffee grounds, egg shells, etc. I can partially cover the scraps with the bag until it is full and it's ready to be carried to the compost bin at the back yard. It is so easy to just dump the bag and not have to clean the bowl or any other container. There is no smell unless, of course, you put in something that's already rotten. I highly recommend these biobags.

Very convenient product. No more scrubbing out icky compost residue. Since the bag is biodegradable it does begin to soften and ooze a bit of liquid if it sits in the pail for several days with juicy compost material. So usually I can't just carry the bag outside on its own without the pail. But besides that one detractor, it's really easy to just carry the pail outside, dump the contents into compost bin, give the pail a quick rinse and let it dry before starting over with a new bag.

We use this product to line our counter compost container and are pleased with the cost, as the two roll packages lasts 6 months or more. We have tried the plastic produce bags from the store, but having to dump the contents and then deal with the nasty bag convinced us to return to the Biobag. We won't go back. Visitors are intrigued when we explain the bags are made of corn starch and simply dissolve into the compost!

It's ok. My main problem with it is that it leaks. By the time you are done filling it it's leaking like crazy. I felt the purpose of the product was to keep the bin as clean and odor free as possible. It also smells strange after it's been covered for a while and it's not the scraps because I have had it in the bin empty. I also wish it came in a smaller size to fit the compost crock. But all in all it's ok.

I was hoping for a larger bag. I don't believe this bag will hold 15 quarts as advertised, but closer to 4-5 quarts. I am using the bags for garbage bags as I live in a townhouse and don't need compost. Still, it's the best I've found, so far. Would not do for a family. I'm trying this in order to reduce the number of non-biodegradable bags.
Would not purchase again.

My wife and I are vegetarian, and put all of our food scraps into compost (with the leaves from our trees) in homemade compost bins. The intervening step, putting the scraps in garbage cans, has always meant dealing with the cloud of flies released from a garbage can when it is opened. The cans have had to be placed some distance from the kitchen door as a result. These biodegradable bags are the answer. We just fill them with scraps and toss them into the garbage cans without having the cloud of flies. If necessary, when the fall composting cycle comes next month, the bag composition can be accelerated when the scraps are put into the compost bins by opening them. We wish we had had this product years ago.

Too short for Franke 15 Qt compost pail! Should be 2" longer. Leak in bottom so no benefit.
Fragile and hard to get to compost bin outside without dripping.
I suggest that BioBag go "back to the drawing board" with their product!

I bought these with the copper countertop bucket which cleans so well that I think this is not necessary for that bucket. If I had a plastic or less easily cleanable bucket, I would highly recommend these bags
It's great for lining compost pails.
