This bench was so easy to assemble! I did it myself in about an hour. It sits undercover so the elements are not a concern for me. It looks great and is quite functional. I store tools, clay pots, fertilizer and other gardening supplies in the bench. I especially like the shelves above and below. It helps me stay organized!

This bench was easy to assemble and looked great for a while but didn't hold up. I treated it with preservative so the wood still looked OK But the nails keep coming out on the top and the legs. Also the storage part lets water in. So you can't put soil or good tools in it.This not meant for heavy duty work in the garden.

I am really pleased with this potting bench...I was aprehensive that it was not weatherproofed, but my husband did coat it with a high grade sealer so that it would stand up to the weather. Ours is located outside, but in a covered area. It looks great, and I also feel that I"m saving potting soil with the slotted cover and catch basin. I hope to use this bench for many seasons to come!

Great - exactly what I wanted, at a reasonable price. I put it together quite simply, after I re-stained it for longevity. Most things like this I want to buy, my husband's response is - "to expensive, I can make that in 20 minutes." Not this, he agreed before hand that it was worth the price. I only wish it were out of a harder wood than pine - there were already a couple of dents before I started to put it together.

Got this Potting Bench for my wife on our anniversary. She has loved gardening for yrs and we had seen some while taking a Garden Walk in Buffalo, NY.
After doing some research on the web I decided on Gardners Supply Co. It was highly rated, from a long standing Co.
It didn't take long to assemble, and it was fairly easy. Took a few hrs, but then again I'm not very good at this type of thing. The instructions were easy to follow.
It is very attractive piece of furniture now in the back yard.
The only thing I would do differently with it is somehow put a roof or some type of covering on it so that rain can't collect in it.
Otherwise my wife loves working on it.

This potting bench is as attractive in person as it appears in the photos. Easy to assemble and designed smartly. The cons were that the wood seemed relatively soft and the hooks were not so user-friendly. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to someone who is looking to use it in a covered area.

I love my this potting bench. Whats great is while you repot a plant, the soil fall into the convenient box below the slatted side. any overspill can be brushed into it. Its very sturdy and attrative. I had priced alot of benchs online, most were far more expensive with far less to them.

We love the potting bench and how it fits into our landscape. It is lovely and useful -- it holds all my gardening tools, give me a pretty place to pot new plants, and s a nice storage bench for items not in use at the moment.

This bench is terrific! It's sturdy, and provides a great work space and storage. The only thing I could complain about is the green bin that comes with it. It's tricky to build and it doesn't fit inside the bench! I had to go out and purchase a smaller plastic bin to put inside to catch the dirt. I still use the green bin that came with it, but not for its original purpose.

The potting bench was not complicated to assemble. We finished it with a waterproofing spray because it is in a semi-sheltered outdoor space on our patio. We live in a cedar cabin and have a flagstone patio as one outdoor living space. The bench will make a great self-serve bar for summer parties as well as be excellent for storing gardening materials. Hooks for gardening implements don't work very well; pegs would be a better option.

I was looking for a potting table to dedicate to gardening, a place that I can store small tools. pots, soil etc. and that was child safe. This table/bench is all that I was looking for and more. The kids can't reach my tools and everything is conveniently tucked away when I am done.

My concerns are that the wood is VERY light weight and does chip and dent VERY easily. I stained the bench with an outdoor weather protectant because I am afraid that the bench will mold and deteriorate quickly with the up-coming rain. I wish they had constructed the bench with better quality outdoor wood. Otherwise this bench is beautiful and practical, but a little overprices for the material they used.

If at the end of winter or early spring I find that the bench has degraded, I will update my review to inform the consumer.

I can't wait to use this in the spring!! I think this potting bench will help me out a lot this spring when I'm potting all my flowers. It wasn't too difficult to assemble, although the only thing better would have been to come fully assembled. It is pretty lightweight for being so solid. I really like the dirt tray/screen. I'm thinking it will cut down on the mess I usually make while potting new plants.

The solid and grid tops are great. You can let the loose soil go through the grids into the tray. Makes for easy clean up. Good work surface. Looks great and well made.

Wish I had bought this product years ago! The bin which catches the loose soil during potting, would alone have saved me many dollars over the years. It's very sturdy, and looks good where ever you might want to place it. No more bending or stooping over either! It's simply a great product!

This product is very functional in more ways then expected. Not only does it make repotting plants easy, but it is great for storage, and looks very attractive. In addition, it doubles as a temporary rest place for plates and barbecue paraphenalia when cooking on the grill outdoors. It was fairly easy to assemble, and with its sturdy construction, we expect it to last for years.

Everything is top notch except the tray that is provided to catch spill-over. Once the tray is assembled, you have to make some adjustments to the tabs in order for it to fit.

I just gave this to my wife as a gift. While I can't comment on its durability yet, I can say it assembled easily. It seems well designed and is very attractive. Pegs might be better than the tool hooks. Most of her tools don't fit on the hooks. I think she is going to very much enjoy it.

This gardeners bench looks great on my back porch and keeps all my planting supplies organized. I do wish it had a bit more room for soil storage(maybe a small side bin) The bin that catches loose soil from re-potting plants is great and it easy to clean up. Overall it has nice construction and I would recommend it to a friend.

It was very easy to put together, and it is both attractive as well as functional. I really like the slatted top for potting, with catch basin underneath.
The entire bench fits easily in front of the window in out garage, and is perfect for starting plants, repotting, bonsais, etc.
It had a strong chemical smell to start, but this has dissipated and is now no longer noticeable.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I use this bench for re-potting house plants and creating containers for outdoors. It is a good height, though I am short and it could be an inch or so lower for my maximum comfort. I like the included container for potting soil and the lower shelf that provides out of the way storage for pots.

We have been very pleased with our potting bench.It is very appealing to the eye and makes potting a pleasure. We had trouble with the assembly of the product but did succeed after a time.We chose to put a sealer on the wood so that it would be more water repellent. The sealer works and we have a bench that is useful but an asset to the patio area.

It took MANY months to get this item and I was VERY unimpressed with it. From a distance it looks great but I had to buy deck stain and seal it myself for it to weather the elements. Pieces of the wood were broken or shattered and they had to be glued. The overall type of wood used was more like balsa than something sturdy. The look is great and I am using it though.

Although well-designed for function, in less than one week, the effects of sun, heat and rain became obvious. We even took the time to use a protective stain prior to outdoor use to aid in longevity.

I was disappointed that the bench was not cedar but a kind of chinese fir. Good size, was fairly easy to put together although it took two people.

I love the look of the bench, but it is not constructed as I thought it would be and I had trouble with assembly as I could not get the bottom down to secure with the screws. It is wobbly and the wood scratches easily. On one section of the lid the wood seems to be pulling apart. I still like it and use it but will definitely be doing something to make it more secure.
