I purchased this as a gift for my mother who loves Swarovski crystal and rainbow makers. Little did I know that she would be gushing about this gift to everyone. I bought the Solar Rainbor Makers as Christmas gifts. One works great but, the other one will not keep working. I put them side by side to make sure they worked. My wife loved it and I will probably have to have one myself. We collect Swarovski crystals and this one is of same high quality. I was skeptical of the the quality of the solar powered mechanism but it works great. Definitely draws attention!

Our grandchildren love the rainbow maker. I ordered one for each family for Christmas. It works best to place it in a window that gets the most sun during the day. The first one we had hung on a plastic loop on a small stand, no suction cup. After a year and a half it stopped working. We loved it and ordered a new one. The first one was a gift.

When I saw these in your catalog I was intrigued because they were [$] cheaper than I had ever seen before. Since I loved them so much I bought two more to keep to give as gifts.Suggestion: the rainbow crystal must be put in a window with an exposure that will capture sunlight or it won't work. Also it works best in a room that is not vaulted. In a room with a very tall ceiling the rainbow tends to be less intense. It's most impressive in a room with normal height ceilings. It is quite lovely and casts it's rainbow althrough our dining room and on into the kitchen.

I got one for Christmas last year and this year bought one for my nephew.To see rainbows floating around my kitchen every morning is so wonderful. The cats love it too. I'd like to send everyone this neat little rainbow maker!! My only complaint is the connection on the prism is weak and requires frequent checks to make sure it is completely closed. If not the prism falls off, and hopefully will not end up end the garbage disposal as mine did.

There is no battery, so during the day only when it is in direct sunlight does it actually spin. Then it spins very very slowly. When it isn't in absolutely straight on direct sunlight, it doesn't spin at all.

When we were growing up, our mom always had prisms hanging in the windows. These prisms flooded the house with rainbows at different times of the day as the sun moved from window to window. When I saw the Rainbow Maker a few years ago, I just had to get one for Mom (and one for me, too). When my sisters saw it, they actually groaned and complained that they wanted one, too, so I got one for each of them the next Christmas. We all love our Rainbow Makers. This past spring, Mom mentioned that she had another window that would be perfect for a Rainbow Maker, so I gave her another one for Christmas this year. She was elated! (I gave it to her when I saw her over Thanksgiving.) The Rainbow Maker works best in full sun, so put it in a south facing window and you'll have rainbows all winter long. Try to put it in a window that you don't open very often, because if you open the window and hit it, you can pop the suction cup off the window taking a chance of breaking the Rainbow Maker when it falls to the floor. Otherwise, the suction cup holds it to the window very securely. The Rainbow Maker can't help but brighten your day as the rainbows dance around your house.
