I bought this planter to fit in the Newberry stand and Trellis, which are just lovely. However, this planter is just awful. The "self watering" feature kept the soil way too wet, and once it rained I wound up with a wet, soggy mess and tomato plants that were drowning. I drilled draining holes in the bottom, chucked the self watering business and am hoping my plants recover.

Love the look however, very disappointed when after a two day rain fall the soil became over saturated. I'll have to cover next time to prevent the root rot.

It did not come with instructions on how to use the self watering tub. The self watering funnel fell apart when I took it out. Luckily, my husband was able to put it back together and I guessed at how it was to be used. Otherwise, I love the planter and am looking forward to a nice crop.

The trellis was very easy to put together. My tomato plants are doing great. It is my intent to plant sweetpeas for next spring and get two growing sessions. The planter, trellis and frame look very nice in front of my home.
Probably not so great will be trying to drain the water out of the planter next fall before winter.

This system gives better plants in less space. It is great for us older gardners because it brings the plants to a better level for handling, no bending.

I used this last year and loved the convenience of growing tomatoes. I no longer had to worry about raccoons digging up my tomatoes. It's easier to access for fertilizer and watering. I could grow tomatoes in an attractive way when neighborhood restrictions prevented a regular garden.

We use on entertainment deck. It fits well with other containers, furniture, and people. Five weeks of use has been easy, tomato plants seem very happy. Went together and planted well, though trellis was better assembled, moved, and installed with two people. Love it so far.
