This is a great low-tech way to water. Easy to install and use. Easy to read. The only downside so far is that the bright colored sticker on the face is peeling off. Upside to that is the timer numbers are also printed on the plastic underneath.

I am almost 70, and I have 4 sets of sprinklers that run off my well head. Watering some in the morning, and some in the evening because I don't want to be out in the dark. This timer allows me to set it for the last sprinkler pair at 9pm and go inside to watch TV safe in knowing that it'll turn off by itself.
Now if I could just get the weeding done automatically, too.

I love these garden-version 'minute timers'. Few moving parts, simple to use and long-lasting. I haven't bought the Gardeners' Supply version before, but it seems to be sturdy and reliable. In the past I have found that similar timers I have bought from local retailers seize up after a few years. We'll see how this one works.
