We start hundreds of seedlings every spring and have a system of four, 4 foot florescent light fixtures X 4 bulbs each set up over shelves in our cellar. We have tried a lot of different containers/pans to hold the peat pots under these lights, but these "boot trays" are the overwhelming best option we have come across. I searched the web quite a bit and found the best price + shipping here.

This was the best purchase ever! Tried a couple of large trays in our home. We loved them so much we purchased them for our four cabins for clients to set their shoes on. It was a big hit and saves on dirt and clutter.

Like another reviewer who turned me on to this as a cat "yard" to contain wayward litter, I'm using it to contain carried or pushed out litter box bits turning into small piles that tend to migrate into other areas of the house. 99% gets deposited in the "yard".

I found a great use for these. I needed something durable to use as drip trays for my wintering orchids in my house. With the inserts, they keep the plants in the pots stable, water drips to the bottom for humidity and they are so easy to clean.

This item serves its purpose well but beware that it is very large. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions so that was my fault. We could not use it by the door due to the size in our smallish house. I use it downstairs by the kitty litterbox and it works well for that.
