Human Resources Director
Become an integral member of our management team. You will help sustain and foster all that makes Gardener's Supply a great place to work, and gives our team a key competitive advantage.
You will be the voice and keeper of our company culture, and driver of our organizational development. You will oversee all aspects of human resources, including the development and administration of HR policies and programs, payroll, benefits, salary administration, recruitment, training, and workers' compensation.
The right candidate will participate at a strategic level, and translate the corporate strategic business plan into HR strategic and operational plans. While we work hard, we also have fun, and we want someone with enthusiasm for the day-to-day quirks that make us special.
Greenhouse Customer Service Associate
Williston garden center (part-time, year-round)
Help our customers enjoy growing houseplants, vegetables and annual plants; design container plantings and repot customers' plants. The ideal candidate has intermediate plant and gardening knowledge with a focus on annuals, houseplants, tropicals, veggies and herbs; excellent customer service skills; and is proficient with computerized POS system.
Customer Service Lead
Burlington garden center (full-time, year-round)
Be responsible for the daily supervision of the indoor selling space and the customer service team. Ensure that all customers are engaged and receive the best service possible. The CS Lead is the expert on front-end operations (POS and internet) and makes sure that all staff receive training and direction. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experince in customer service and POS; advanced gardening/horticultural knowledge (2 years experience in the horticultural industry is ideal); previous experience supervising a team, individual or tasks; training experience; and the ability to use internet search engines, e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Call Center Sales and Service Specialist I
We're searching for three people to join the team in our call center. These individuals will be on the phone with customers, building relationships and representing our company in ways that reflect our core values. Call center representatives work to increase average order size and provide excellent customer service on both sales anad service calls. The ideal candidates have previous service and sales experience and exceptional communication skills as well as the ability to find solutions for customer problems.
The positions are full-time, benefit eligible, with two off-season layoffs: mid-winter and midsummer through early fall (a total of 24 weeks). The shifts for these openings are:
- Noon to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday
- 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday
- 11: 30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday
