Instructions for the Rain Barrel Stand

  • 2 assembled cedar sides with attached aluminum corners
  • 2 assembled cedar sides
  • 1 assembled cedar top
  • 28 0.75" stainless steel Phillips screws
  • 4 corner caps

Tools Needed

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Drill with bits
  • Rubber mallet or hammer and piece of wood for cushioning
  • Carpenter's level, optional

Step 1. Assemble the sides and corners. Form a square by inserting the assembled cedar sides into the aluminum corners. Make sure the sides are fully seated and level with the bottom.

Step 2. Connect the sides to the corners using the Phillips screws provided. To make it easier, drill starter holes in the wood using the screw holes in the corners to guide you. Finish by tightening the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 3. Insert the black plastic Corner Caps into the top of each Aluminum Corner. Tap into place with rubber mallet or hammer and piece of wood for cushioning.

Step 4. Place the assembled cedar top onto the top of the Rain Barrel Stand.

Step 5. Place Rain Barrel Stand on a firm, level surface. Avoid soft ground that may shift or settle under the weight of a full Rain Barrel. Use flat stones or bricks between the Stand and the ground to prolong the life of the cedar sides. Use a carpenter's level to be sure the stand is level in all directions before placing a rain barrel on top.
