Instructions for the Butterfly Stake

To install the Butterfly Stake, screw a butterfly on top of each arm of the stake, then remove the protective rubber cap. Insert the stake into the ground, in an area where it will be nudged by nearby plants to encourage movement on breezy days.

If left to oxidize naturally, the surface take on a pleasant patina. To help retain the original finish, you can apply a clear, exterior-grade, polyurethane sealant (available at most paint stores). Make sure it is completely dry before exposing to moisture or sunlight.

Because they are hand-painted, variations and irregularities in shading and color are to be expected.
