Gardener's Supply, in association with Expo Garden Tours, is offering "The Gardens of Southern England and the Chelsea Flower Show", a tour that's been custom-designed to our specifications. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable British guide, as well as a host from Gardener's Supply. This tour guarantees lots of personal attention (limit is 25 participants), and you'll find the accommodations and travel arrangements are both comfortable and hassle-free. Feedback from participants on our 2005 tour, which had a very similar itinerary, was excellent.

"I would love to share this experience with others; it was the trip of a lifetime, exceeding all expectations."

-Carole Johnson,
2005 tour participant

Our England tour begins with departure from the U.S. on Friday, May 18. After arriving in London on Saturday morning, you will transfer approximately one hour south for three days in Kent. The afternoon features a visit to Hever Castle, followed by a welcome dinner celebration at Squerryes Court, a lovely private home dating from 1681. Other wonderful gardens that you will see during your time in Kent include Merriments Garden, Sissinghurst Castle, Great Dixter, and Great Comp Garden.

Moving on to London, you will visit a lovely private garden called Vann, the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden at Wisley, Hampton Court Palace, and of course the world-renowned Chelsea Flower Show on the Royal Horticultural Society's "Members Only Day", when the gardens are at their very best and the crowds are much smaller. You will return to the U.S. on May 25 with your mind chock-full of memories and inspiration for your own gardens!

Your host for this tour will be Kathy LaLiberte, a founding member of Gardener's Supply, and the company's Director of Gardening. Kathy is a knowledgeable horticulturist and was the hostess on our 2005 and 2006 tours. Your tour guide, Hilary Smith, has lead tours all over the world, and is an invaluable source of information about gardening, history, and the natural world. She will handle all logistics and share her insightful and uniquely British perspective on every destination. For details on the trip see the complete itinerary. You can also view a slide show and travelogue of last year's tour. Since space is limited, we encourage you to respond early and avoid disappointment. For more information, please call Expo Garden Tours directly at 800-448-2685 or e-mail them at gstours@expogardentours.com. We hope that you consider joining us in the gardens of England and at the Chelsea Flower Show next May. The registration deadline is Mar. 10, 2007.
