This crock pot is attractive, the color and texture blend well with marble kitchen top.Unfortunately the metal handle did not fit onto both sides of the pot and I ended up throwing the handle away

Looks great in the kitchen. So far, no odor. The capacity is good for 3-4 days of scraps for a family of 2 unless you are cooking a lot!

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

Beautiful on the counter and holds a lot. Loves the idea of the bio bags, but they are impossible to remove, even when the crock is not full. Disappointing. I use it without the bags and will pour the crock into the bags, a messy prospect that I haven't tried yet. A redesign would be nice and I'd buy it.

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

Bought this compost bucket to replace a previous one that we really liked. Very disappointed! Beware that the handle does not fit the crock properly like it appears to in the picture. EVERY time I grab it by the handle, the handle snaps off and is very difficult to refit. Not worth the bother.

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

This crock is beautiful, but you cannot use the bags with it. Because the opening is smaller than the crock itself, if you fill it more than halfway, you cannot pull the bag out.

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

This isn't a composter so the review is difficult. It's a nice looking crock. The handle could be made differently, but once you figure out how to handle it, it's fine. It leaked when I first started using it. That doesn't seem to be a problem any more. It's very attractive. The shape of it makes it difficult to completely empty. None of the above would keep me from buying it, they're just things that could have been improved upon.

Comments about Green Stoneware Compost Crock:

I loved the hand-made look of this but quickly came to dislike it. Because it is smaller at the top, it is hard to get the compost out - especially when using a liner. Can't simply pull out the bag liner. If not using a liner, it's a bit better, but compost still gets stuck at the slight bottle neck near the lip and I ended up making a mess shaking the thing to get the stuff out of it. Also, the stoneware "pegs" (for lack of a better word) that hold the metal wire handle on, broke off after a month or two. Looked bad and made it handleless. Ended up tossing this one.
