Natural Willow Trellises with Sculptural Appeal

  • Graceful trellises support flowering vines, peas and beans
  • Natural willow blends into the garden

You'll appreciate the versatility of these natural willow trellises in the garden. These plant supports expand and contract like an accordion, so they can be set up as squat or as tall as you like. The peeled willow and diamond shaped openings make these tepees a graceful, natural accent.

  • Small is maximum 47" H x 23" diameter
  • Medium is maximum 57" H x 35" diameter

    Comments about Expandable Willow Trellises:

I've placed this in the perennial bed, in back, and have two clematis plants started growing up it. It was difficult to 'firm up' in the bed, needed to trench a circle about 10" deep to stabilize it, and don't yet know if it will withstand Connecticut winters. However, it is very attractive to look at, and will be even more so next summer with more mature plantings.

    Comments about Expandable Willow Trellises:

I had one many years ago, and it lasted forever, and worked. This one won't remain upright, and tips over ( and out of the raised bed entirely), taking young pea and bean vines with it. So disappointed? It just won't stay anchored in the ground. It's money wasted, as it just lies alongside the gardens now. I'd welcome some kind of resolution.

        Comments about Expandable Willow Trellises:

My Clemantis loves this expandable trellis. He thrived and looked better this year than ever. He did so well I bought a second trellis for my other Clemantis. Any vine would work well with trellis. Being in the round, it very nicely displays the plant evenly and you do not get that leaning look where one side is heavier than the other.

I bought two small and one medium of these willow trellises for some wild sweet peas I grew from seed. I love the rustic English Garden look they give to my garden. I plan to order more!

My pole beans are eagerly climbing the trellises and I look forward to pleasant harvesting. I have needed to support the placement so the wind wouldn't blow them down. They are very attractive at this point.

                Comments about Expandable Willow Trellises:

I have them set up for pole beans -- but find that the tiny nails holding the willows together at the bottom are popping out and the bottoms of the willow are different lengths making it a little challenging to get all of them into the ground so that a high wind won't take them down. Time will tell if the beans crawl up them or not.
