- Easy to use
Cons
- Heavy
Best Uses

I love being able to move my plants around the garden. In Southern California it gets hot and dry and to be able to move my plants to the shade is great!
- Was this a gift?:
- No
I found that the grow bags dry out too quickly to keep carrot seeds moist during germination. I had much better luck with using a self-watering container. I'm using the grow bags for flowers now. However, I do have large grow bags that I'm growing lima beans from seeds that are doing well.
Planting and harvesting carrots from a grow bag is so simple and easy. I tried one last year and had to get a second for this year. I love this product!

Surprisingly sturdy when filled with soil!

For the past two years my carrots have been forked and hairy from a fungus in my garden soil. This year, I used the grow bag and so far, my carrots are perfect.

Cons
Best Uses

I have also used the potato and tomato grow bags.
I have gotten great results from all the grow bags.
Growing carrots, mostly the shorter 6 inch types. Have two bags going with carrots with at least 5 inch tops. Started carrots in three more bags and they are starting to sprout.
Carrots germinate best around 70 degrees, I think. Started the carrots, in the grow bags, in the green house and then moved them outside. Spring has been so cool and wet this year. Would take forever to get carrots going without being able to grow in bags and start them in green house. Deciced to get the bags since our soil is terribly rocky.
