Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

I believe bugs, wind and rain are key components to healthy compost. So, I like open wire composters. I put this together in about ten minutes. Set it in a nice sunny spot near the garden and started filling. It's very sturdy.

Perfect leaf bin; zip ties work better to connect sides.

Price is great. Included Clips not substantial so I just used zip ties to connect sides together. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Like so much I've bought a second bin.

Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

I just purchased this compost bin and therefore cannot comment on its durability or results. Assembly was very easy and it is less expensive than other models.. The sides are held together with plastic clips and I question whether they will hold up over time. I have a similar but older wire bin that uses a thin metal rod on each corner to hold the sides together. I inherited it from my father-in-law, so it is now being used by a second gardener. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble. I reserve judgement on this new model. Time will tell.

Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

I am using this bin to store leafmulch, not as a traditional compost bin.
The metal sides are good quality and useful, lightweight, and so far holding up alright to the weather.
The fasteners that came with the bin are entirely useless!!!! They are too small to close properly once wrapped around the side panel parts - I was unable to close any of them! I am using plain old cable zip fasteners to hold the bin together - so far so good, but should not have to resort to a DIY solution to put the bin together at this price point....

Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

Everything that has been said about the connectors is true - they either break or are impossible to snap together. And I have very strong hands and a strong grip. Tools like pliers, etc did not help.

Yet I chose to to disregard the warnings

I ended up using zip ties like most, but I should not have had to.

The four panels seem sturdy enough.

I would buy again only for the panels, and the same would be my recommendation to a friend. Just be advised that you need to have a some zip ties on hand or some other solution. Frankly, they should include the zip ties instead of the useless connectors. 3 stars out of 5. Sorry. Wanted it to be better.

Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

This has lots of capacity. I use it in the fall to collect my mowed leaves and grass to compost for the garden. I just bought a second one-I wish they offered the connecting one separately. I don't have room to set up three, like they offer. It is kind of tall-read another review from someone who set it up sideways-I am going to try that with this second one.

Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

This is a great economical composting option. I use it as a large-capacity receptacle for all kitchen and yard waste--it can hold as much as can I put in! It's easy to put together and blends right in. It may need more aerating than a tumbling composter and it doesn't trap heat the way closed composters do, but this is a great option for low-effort, unobtrusive composting.

Comments about : Single Bin Wire Composter:

Bought this bin because it looked to be the right size to go alongside our more enclosed compost bin that we use for kitchen scraps. I plan to use it for grass clippings and leaves to generate enough "brown matter" to add to the other compost. So far it is working fine, however it was very difficult to assemble because the holes in the plastic clips were not big enough to go around the wire so the clips would not close at all. I almost returned the whole thing, but my husband was able to enlarge the holes with an electric drill and in the end that was less trouble than returning the item. It remains to be seen how durable the clips will be now that we have altered them.
