            Comments about : 39" Self-Watering Windowbox:

I've purchased eight or ten of these over the years and the oldest ones are still holding up just as well as the ones I bought last year. I just got two more to expand the growing space for greens on my deck. The only problem I've had is that the plastic cap retainers on the reservoir fill openings tend to deteriorate and come off. But the caps themselves are fine. I've never lost one. I plan to buy at least two more, probably four more, in the coming 12 months.

We did have a couple of weeks of scorching hot weather this past summer when the reservoir was insufficient for more than a couple of days. But I would have been out there watering twice a day without it, as I had to do with some non-self-watering planters I have. I also really like the fact that they hang off the deck rail rather than straddling it, as that can encourage wood rot. I still have a few of the kind that straddle the rails, and I'm going to replace those with this style next spring.

growing impatience flowers in the south and only watering about every 10 days. In this heat that is pretty special. I had white ones and they were growing some fungus and wouldn't come clean.

These windowboxes have adorned my front windows for about 15 years suffering through New England north winds and are still looking smart! Having not found anything to my liking for side windows I finally realized that I couldn't go wrong with the tried and true. Thank you for offering a great product at a great price.

in very hot summer days, you only need water your plants once week. if it rains, once every two weeks.

i ordered two of these "windowbpxes" to use a dividers between my lawn and patio at my apartment. They are the perfect solution to the use. The self watering feature is great for our continuing drought situation in CA

                    Comments about : 39" Self-Watering Windowbox:

I'm a freelancer with an irregular working schedule and extremely long hours. During out hot NYC summers, when I was too beat to water the plants on my small terrace, even for only two days, I would open my sliding door with dread because I knew what was awaiting me. Suburbanites who have a gardener or a sprinkler system are in another category.

I was really delighted to find these self-watering window-boxes. They look great, appear to be quite sturdy and I look forward to having a thriving garden this season.

The window-boxes are not cheap, but think of how much it costs to replace plants - not to mention the guilt of killing perfectly lovely plants!
