Cone-shaped planters like these are wildly popular in England; we’ve propped ours on freestanding, sculptural peeled willow trellises. Fill the cone planters with trailing flowers for a striking display of color. You can also plant flowering vines around the base and let them climb the sides of the trellis for an even more dramatic display. Cones are made from woven banana leaf and sea grass rope and are lined with plastic to retain moisture. Choice of Small, Medium or Large.

I plant tri color bean seeds in a large outdoor pot and use the trellis for them to grow up. The beans are very easy to pick and eat when mature because they are at a right at my sight level.

I ordered this thinking it was only the plant stand but was pleasantly surprised to see that a very nice planter was included in the price. It will be a lovely addition to my garden. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have just started using these, and I am liking the ability to add height to the garden without using some tall and heavy concrete/ceramic planter. I am waiting to see how easily it blows over in windy conditions. So far, so good in a slightly sheltered location. Works best on even ground.

Comments about : Willow Cone Planter, Large:

I'm using this to beautify my garden while also providing a trellis for a vining plant. Other uses are as plant supports for which I use my larger models. These are very study & well made, a little stiff when you first open them, but quickly become easy to stretch. I deducted one star from the rating because the planters are lined with plastic. Planters must be able to drain, so I slit the plastic.

I only have 1 shady spot in my yard & I wanted to have some tuberious begonias so these worked perfectly! So unique, beautiful, & natural appearing between the oak tree & rhodedendrums. The large & small staggeredly displayed is just gorgeous!

Have it in my flower garden to add height. Too soon to tell how sturdy it is. It is very light weight so I am concerned about how well it will stand up to high winds in storms. It looks nice with flowering plants. The base is wide so keep that in mind when you think about where you would like to use it.
