A Place for Peas to Live in Peace

This trellis fits well within my 6x6 grow box. My peas are very happy climbing up its well spaced rungs. I bought it as a gift for myself in an end of season sale, albeit it is still a little pricey for what it is, But it is sturdy and filling its purpose - both good things.

              • Tomatoes

I used two to reign in a tomato plant that had grown beyond expectation - I couldn't fit a cage over the plant, but with two of the two panel trellises was able to get it corralled. The only problem is that the trellis is pushed back by the weight of the tomatoes, so if I were to do it again, I would support the trellis with a stake.

Needed something for a fast growing lace plant vine, planted to cover up concrete wall. Did not want to see the usual trellis, just the plant, and this trellis blends right in. So easy to install.

When these came, I leaned them against a wall in the kitchen. They fit perfectly on that wall, so I decided that one of them (fortunately I had ordered two) had to stay in the kitchen and become a trellis of quilted flowers. I'll post a picture when that gets completed! For now, my beans and peas are happy with their outside trellis!

I like to grow climbing squash which have very beautiful flowers and delicious fruit. They are heavy and need a sturdy trellis to hold their weight. Last year the wire sagged under the weight. I am growing in a raised bed so I don't want to put up real fencing because then I won't be able to pick from both sides of the bed. This product solved that problem. It is tall enough, and the openings between the wires are large enough to be able to access fruit of ground producing squash (yellow) and also provide support for the climbing squash. I used vertical posts to anchor it and also put in 10 inch ground stakes to keep it streaky. Very versatile product. That was last week. I do plan to keep it uo in the Winter, so I will report back on how kit stands up to CO winter weather. I suspect fine.
