Tristar Strawberries are hardy, with medium-sized, deep red fruit and a glossy, attractive shape. They can be grown anywhere in the US for at least one season, although strawberries planted in the ground in zones 9 to 11 may have trouble coming back the next year because they won't get their normal dormancy cycle. Blooms in mid-summer the first year, followed by a heavy early spring crop in the second year.
Plants are hardy and disease-resistant
Tristar strawberries are a "day neutral" variety - they can produce berries from June through October
The Berry Terrace is the perfect place to plant these strawberries
Shipping begins mid-March according to growing zone and continues into June
These berries fill in nicely and go on for years. Harvest isn't in huge amounts at once, but very nice for picking some every few days for ice cream or cereal. With a larger number of plants we usually pick enough to use and freeze one batch at a time - quite handy for a busy family!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
