Comments about Pruning Stik Tree Pruner:

We have a Kiwi plant in close proximity to our peach tree. The Kiwi vine is always invading the peach tree and needs constant trimming. That is where we use this tool mostly. We have also used it to cut wild grape vines without having to get too close to them.

I can trim small trees and tall shrubs easily. Also useful from a ladder for difficult to reach
branches. It is safe for older children with adult guidance.

Comments about Pruning Stik Tree Pruner:

I liked this prunner as long as I was cutting smaller branches. The problem I have with it is a lack of arm muscle on my part. It takes quite a bit of arm strength to get it to cut the larger branches. I have to resort to pushing the end of the pole into my stomach trying to get my body strength envolved to help cut the larger branches of which I still could not cut the larger ones, ha. I usually walked away with bruises on my body. I had to buy a very expensive pole pruner that was compound as well as ratching. Even a wimpy kid could cut with my new fancy one but it cost me a pretty penny. I gave this one away to my younger stronger neighbors. This pruner works only if you are strong enough. I possibly could have used this back in my 40's when I was younger and stronger.

Use it to trim three crab apple trees. Worked great. Would like to have something that extends out more to reach those top spots.

Comments about Pruning Stik Tree Pruner:

We use a long-handled cutter to get suckers off old, tall fruit trees. This pruner will reach 50% of branches standing on ground or a small stool, but we revert to old string-based pruner with about 5 ft more reach for higher suckers.

I used it to cut thick and thin branches off of my flowering trees and an overgrown maple tree. Every cut was easy and smooth! The reach allows me to safely cut higher than I normally would attempt. LOVE IT!

Comments about Pruning Stik Tree Pruner:

I have a Chinese Elm that I can't kill. The nursery suggested I 'starve' it by cutting all green shoots as they come out on the stump. It has grown back from a stump 5 times in 10 years! The ease of using this cutter from my scooter means I can do this cutting on my own. I cut all low hanging branches on my shrubs and trees also. My neighbor has thorny vines on our shared fence and I can trim them easy with this.

I do all my veggie and herb gardening in raised beds, from my Rascal scooter.
