Exclusive | Success Kits Grow Bigger, Healthier Tomatoes – Garden-Tested and Guaranteed!

  • The most convenient, foolproof way to grow your own delicious tomatoes
  • Self-watering to provide a steady supply of moisture for optimal tomato production
  • Container growing reduces weeding and chances of soil-borne disease
  • Includes planter, cage support, soil mix and fertilizer
  • For easy mobility, add a set of optional casters, sold separately

Our exclusive Tomato Success Kits have helped thousands of gardeners grow big crops of healthier, tastier tomatoes. The self-watering planter has a generous, 4-gallon reservoir that provides a steady flow of moisture to plants. This eliminates the "drought and drown" cycle that stresses plants, helping your tomatoes outperform garden-grown plants by 30% or more. The kit includes a two-part stacking tomato cage and 40 quarts of our exclusive Self-Watering Container Mix. It also includes 1-1/2 lbs. of Gardener's Best Organic Tomato Fertilizer, an 8-5-5 slow-release fertilizer that is fortified with 4-1/2% calcium to help prevent blossom end rot.

  • Self-Watering Planter is 26" L x 19-3/4" W x 10-1/2" H
  • Tomato Cage is 14-1/2" W x 21-1/2" D x 30" H with 8" legs (38" overall)
  • Two 20-quart bags of Self-Watering Container Mix
  • 1-1/2 lbs. of 8-5-5 Gardener's Best Organic Tomato Fertilizer (contains meat, bone and blood meals; hydrolyzed feather meal, sulfate of potash and calcium)
  • For best results, plant two determinate or one indeterminate tomato
  • Tomato plants not included
  • Patented
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

I liked that it came with everything except the plants. The one thing I thought was odd was it stated not to use the self watering part fo the first thirty days. I assume this is to let the plants get established but this is why I bought this "self watering planter kit"

          Cons

I have six of these that I use to grow tomatoes in Arizona. Last year my plants were 7 feet tall and loaded with tomatoes. I was not nearly as successful with plants in the ground or in other containers. Watering from below seems to do the trick. Just be sure to use mulch on top.

Used this on our deck. Wheels allowed repositioning. I appreciated getting everything we needed in one place with clear instructions - no concerns about the type or amount of fertilizer. We were able to attach heavy plastic mesh to the cage to protect young plants (after raccoons dug them up a few times). The large reservoir enabled us to skip days of watering except in the very hottest weather. The only thing that might make this a bit better is an even larger reservoir that could take the plants through a hot long weekend unattended.

I bought one last year and it worked so well, I ordered another one this year. The cage contains the plants very well and with the casrters, it is easy to move if needed.

I really like not having to water EVERY day! I bought 3 last spring and another one this year. I have had good luck with all the plants I have used in them. My cherry tomatoes produced well into winter as I was able to move them into the garage during infrequent freezing weather.

I already have two of these tomato planters and just love them. My tomatoes love the soil and food, grow like weeds and produce awesome tomatoes. With our drought, we don't have to water as much, thanks to the reservoirs.

In 2014 we purchased one tomato success kit. We grew tomatoes in various places to determine what worked best. In 2015 we purchased five more tomato success kits. Four of them will grow tomatoes. Two of them will test the potential of bell peppers grown in these planters. The only detraction is the need to protect the planters from the raccoons and other critters drawn to the fertilizer. We made a cage of welded wire hardware cloth to go over the top of the planter.

The kit was as represented. I bought the casters which made it easy to move when we had unseasonable weather.
Only drawback was the clips that hold caged together. I broke 5 of the 7 I tried to use. Finally gave up and used zip ties.
