Additional Information

Exclusive | Terrazza Square Planters Help You Design Your Own Lush Terrace Garden

  • Generous Capacity: You'll get extra soil capacity and deep reservoirs not found in American counterparts. This Square Planter holds 50 quarts of soil and 1-3/4 gallons of water
  • Unmatched Quality: Rigid construction fends off scuffs and scratches, and they won't fade or bow in the strongest sun or under the heaviest load
  • Self-Watering: Water only once or twice a week, thanks to a dual-action system that uses cotton wick and evaporation
  • Timeless Design: Crisp lines and realistic wood grain, plus a choice of two classic finials, make for a sharp, uniform appearance around your property
  • We recommend three 20-quart bags of our premium Organic Self-Watering Potting Mix; each of these planters holds 50 quarts

Our exclusive Italian Terrazza Square Planters offer classic styling with self-watering convenience. In Italy, where style is everything, these innovative planters beautify residential terraces, side-street cafes, hotel lobbies and hotel courtyards. The compact yet hardworking Terrazza Square Planter is a customer favorite. Make the planter mobile with optional casters, sold separately (each planter requires one set).

I've had several of these planters for almost 8 years. The oldest planter looks as good as this new one with no maintenance from me other than hosing them off once in a while.

Ad should state that significant assembly is required; instructions were for another planter; had to return product at my cost of $20; NOT happy.

We have a low deck that doesn't have railings but needed something to designate the edge. These work perfectly spaced evenly along the edge of the deck. they are also easy to move when you need to shovel snow.

Comments about : Terrazza Square Planter, Loden:

The whole line of Terrazza planters are very nice. I've only had them one season, so I can't speak to durability, but the construction seems extremely sturdy. And my plants love them!

The square planter is fairly easy to assemble - it was done by one woman (me), not too strong, with no extra tools - and I was able to do it in a half hour. It helped that I had already assembled the rectangular planter earlier this year. That one was a little more challenging, but still doable.

These really can be watered once or twice a week and ignored the rest of the time. There's a tube that extends from the soil line into the bottom water reservoir. You can add water through the tube (via a hose), and a little float will tell you when the water reservoir is full. No worry about over-filling; extra water will drain out.

I got the casters for this one, and it rolls around the patio quite well.

These are expensive, but allow you to do real gardening - there's lots of space for roots, so vegetables grow well. One reason I bought this square planter is that I was so pleased with the rectangular one I purchased earlier. I'm planning on purchasing one more of these, but I need to decide if I want a square or a rectangular planter.

Comments about : Terrazza Square Planter, Loden:

The terrazo planter is much deeper then my other vegetable self watering planters allowing the roots to stay more in soil than water. for me this prevents tomato end rot and allows carrots and other root crops to grow better. I have a trough style by my kitchen door that grows a perfect salad garden.Even though I like my other planters very well also,it is My favorite garden planter of all for two years now.

When I recommend this to someone I am certain to tell them the 2 squares that are in the afternoon sun after 4 years are color fading. The 3 brown rectangle ones that get brief morning sun that are 7 years old are not fading - yet.
