Exclusive | A Terrazza Raised Bed for Your Patio — Self-Watering Too!

  • Combines the benefits of raised bed gardening with self-watering convenience
  • Generous size provides 9 square feet of growing area at a depth of 12"
  • Grow a productive garden on your patio or deck

Now you can enjoy all the advantages of raised bed gardening, plus the added benefit of watering weekly instead of daily. This stylish planter boasts two 4-gallon reservoirs that keep plants lush and green even in a drought. Its crisp lines and realistic wood grain look elegant on the patio, but it's tough enough to use in the garden, because it's made of crack-proof, fade-proof polypropylene. Nine square feet of growing area; a generous 12" deep so it's deep enough for root crops like carrots. Dual-action watering system keeps plant roots just moist enough without waterlogging them, and a water gauge tells you when to refill. Includes easy-fill funnel with cover and two styles of finials. Make the planter mobile with optional casters, sold separately (each planter requires four sets).

  • Made of dense UV-stabilized polypropylene
  • 39-1/4" x 39-1/4" x 16" H
  • 8-gallon water reservoir
  • Holds 9 cubic feet (230 dry quarts) of Container Mix
  • Easy assembly
  • Add optional casters for mobility; each bed requires 16 casters total

I bought 2 of these, thinking they would replace my garden. I planted tomatoes in them the 1st year and they turned out horrible. When it rains alot, the soil stays very wet and the plants were waterlogged. I had such high hopes for these planters, I haven't used them since. Waaaaay to much money to use as flower pots, but that's all they are good for. Would never buy again to use as a garden.

I was initally scared when I saw the instruction sheet but the set up was actually quite easy and fast (56 yr old female). I haven't planted any vegys in it yet so I don't know how well the self watering feature will work. So far I'm very happy with this planter. I will update at the end of the summer.

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:

I like it. It's nice to have fresh veggies. I live near a lot of old trees and they have ants so I put ant poison around the house and don't want a garden in the ground but off of the ground. It's fun to grow what you serve at the tablle! The self watering leaks. ---a little expensive.

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:

I have purchased this large Terrazza raised bed as well as the smaller models in the past - about 6 years ago. These older ones are holding up well over the years. In the large Terrazza I plant veggies - tomatoes, peppers, herbs, etc. In the smaller version, I plant cucumbers and flowers. In the past, I also plant veggies in the ground too, but the plants in these raised beds actually perform better then those in the ground.

Due to the severe drought in California, I just purchased two more - one large and one small. - no in ground planting this year, which will waste water. With these planters I only water once a week and no water is wasted.

I think these planters are great!

Not difficult to assemble....just be patient and read directions. And I'm usually not good at putting things together. I have filled the self watering planter boxes but too early to plant.

A friend saw them and is ordering some for her rooftop garden.

Gave product a 4 because I haven't actually grown anything yet.

We started with a couple containers last year and now have a total of 4 large square containers and 2 of the troughs. All will be used to grow veggies this year and my 100y/o mum is looking for to getting into the dirt.

Comments about Self-Watering Terrazza Raised Beds:

I have several of the 16" boxes which I like a lot, so I purchased this large box despite known problems with the water tube. The enlarged, clear plastic funnel at the top disintegrates very quickly in the elements making it useless. However, I have created substitutes using 1" pvc pipe, an elbow and cap which I spray earth color. The hole in the base section has to be enlarged a little but it works very well and is indestructible. It does not have the gauge but I never found that much help and prefer to watch for the overflow to start. At the high price of this item, the manufacturer should have resolved this known problem a long time ago. Another note is even with all the wheels, the weight of this box when filled makes it extremely difficult to move, and virtually impossible on a slatted deck or uneven surface, so place it where you intend it to stay unless it's on flat concrete!
