Bought two of these houses around Mother's Day 2015 from G.S.C. Hung my nitbee house on my shed's south side, which also overlooks a dirt bed of sunflowers. I was skeptical that I would get any bees moving in, but 7 weeks of having this bee house up, I have 5 of the 16 holes filled with mud. I keep the sunflower bed soil frequently watered so as to keep a nearby source of moist soil available for the bees. This is a nice, solid, well made product and has a unique look. The second one was given as a gift for my mom.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
