      Comments about : Summerweight Garden Fabric, 6' x 20':

I live in zone 9, Texas near the gulf. I throw this fabric over hoops on my raised beds to help keep out insects when plants are young because bugs are a big problem here and I practice 100% organic. We also get high winds so this has helped with deflecting some of the wind and reducing the damage on the plants. Easy for me to uncover when I want and recover. Biggest negative is that product is very flimsy, tears easily and will only last me one season so will get too expensive.

I've only had this for a month to cover my kale crop from pests... Have had a few heavy storms and the fabric seems to be holding up well.

      Helped to decrease squash bugs

      Comments about : Summerweight Garden Fabric, 6' x 20':

This is a great product to help protect squash plants from bugs, and a small garden from birds. I stapled a wooden rod (1inx1insquare and the width of the fabric) to each end of the fabric, I then drape it over a fence around my garden to cover the plants entirely, uncovering sometimes to allow pollinators. Sun and rain can get to the plants. I don't use pesticides, so this is a great natural way to deter garden pests! So two Gardener's Supply 4x8 raised beds, placed on weed cloth, with 2 tomato towers, 4 tomato cages, and the large cucumber trellis, covered with the fabric makes a perfect garden for us!

Mainly using this as a pest prevention for my cabbage and bok choy. Using this with the high hoops also purchased on this site. We haven't gotten any heavy rain yet, so I can't say for sure it will hold up against weather.

I used the netting to covedr my grape vines just before grapes ripened. It was easy to install it and it kept the birds from eating the grapes as they did last year.

I used my fabric to make sleeves which I placed over branches on which I was raising caterpillars. This protected the caterpillars from various predators and parasites. Worked perfectly!

      Not for the desert!

      Comments about : Summerweight Garden Fabric, 6' x 20':

For use to protect crops from wind and sun in the Western Mojave Desert of CA, this fabric doesn't last even a couple of months. Shreds and disintegrates. Much better fabric is a roll of screening material like for door screens - lasts for years, better to water and see through.
