Looks like it'll do the job

    Comments about Summerweight Garden Fabric:

I plan to use this to save my zucchini from attack by squash bugs and vine borers. It looks like it will last for more than one season (an improvement over fabric netting) and as such should prove more economical.

          Comments about Summerweight Garden Fabric:

I ordered this product to try and eliminate cabbage moth/worm issues without the use of chemicals. I intend to frame it into panels and connect them in an A-frame style and place them over my cole crops. I have not yet had a chance to observe this product in use, but it appears to be what I wanted.

          Best Uses

            Comments about Summerweight Garden Fabric:

While this product did work initially to keep out pests, while letting in sunlight and not trapping heat, when it was time to take this off (beans, etc. flowering), it disintegrated. I assume the UV light broke it down...but it should be designed to withstand this. It turned into a plastic dust--not good for my supposedly-organic garden plot. Very messy cleanup. I thought this would be good for more than one season and had to throw it away (what was left of it).

The fabric was used to cover a frame over vegetables to protect against insects. So far it is doing the job for a fraction of the cost of other fabrics.

It is the BEST way to stay organic. In fact, it is the only way I have gotten
good harvest from kales and other greens which are eaten up by pests otherwise. With hoops it is easy to accommodate growing plants.

I have used this fabric for years and have been very satisfied. This year I used some (unused) fabric from last year as well as the new fabric that I ordered this spring. Some of it goes on Super Hoops and some of it is used as floating row cover. The new fabric disintegrated in the first week of use, while last year's fabric held up all season, even saving my late pea crop from a hailstorm. I'm very disappointed that the quality has gone down and will not buy again.

Live in Southern CA and this provides just the right amount of sun protection to prevent peppers, tomatoes and eggplants from getting those burn spots.

I was looking for a material that would be easy to work with, strong enough to resist birds, bugs and other pests, but still allow adequate moisture and air to my vegetable plants. Good product for Summer. Also recommend the All-Purpose fabric for cooler Fall and Winter months!
