Feeder Serves Nutritious Suet Balls to the Birds

  • An easy, mess-free way to provide nutrient-rich suet to birds
  • Makes an attractive landscape accent
  • Holds six suet balls, sold separately

Suet-loving birds like woodpeckers will cling to the metal cage as they feed. This handy feeder holds up to six suet balls, so it will need less frequent refilling than single feeders. It's made from powder-coated steel with a brushed copper-colored finish. The top twists off for easy filling. Suet balls are sold separately.

  • 2-1/2" in diameter x 17-1/2" H

I love this suet feeder. It has a great design, and best of all the squirrels cannot open it up and eat all the suet in a matter of minutes. I couldn't find suet balls locally, and they are pricey on the web, so I made my own. I simply took a square suet (that you can buy anywhere),cut it into 4 equal parts, and rolled it into balls with my hands. Very simple and made a bunch at a time. I put the feeder right outside my kitchen window and am enjoying all the woodpeckers and other birds that visit it. I get to see the birds up close and I love the sleek design.

The ability to hang this higher keeps the raccoons from taking! Don't have to fill as often as you can fit 5 specially-sized suet balls in. Lid locks well. Special-sized suet balls are slightly too large - have to chip to fit into feeder. Woodpeckers love, even had 2 pileated woodpeckers taking turns hanging upside down to access suet. Quite a sight! Would definitely buy more.

I have 2 old suet ball feeders that are open on the bottom only. The suet lasts longer that way.

Love this suet ball birdfeeder because the top screws on & off which makes it impossible for other animals to steal the suet balls. It is easy access for the woodpeckers. Very attractive.
