Steel Compost Sieve and Soil Sifter

  • Easy way to sift compost to remove uncomposted clumps
  • Use sifted compost in beds and as mulch

With a powder-coated steel frame and reinforced mesh bottom, this rugged sifter quickly separates uncomposted material from finished "black gold". It's even tough enough to screen sticks and stones out of garden soil.

  • Powder-coated steel
  • 13" base diameter; 14-1/2" top diameter x 3" D

    Comments about Steel Compost Sieve:

I read other reviews before purchasing, was afraid this might be flimsy but it is not. It is also a good size. I used it to sift a pile of dirt that had been mixed with left over stones. This is no flimsy product.

Wish I had purchased this several years ago for separating landscape rock from soil where they combine and tidying is needed. Very useful and stronger than trying to build a box with wire to do the same job.

          Comments about Steel Compost Sieve:

Compost often looks lumpy with un-composted material sticking together, sometimes it just looks like garbage... but this sieve if you use your hands or a scraper to push the compost through creates a professional looking -store bought dirt.

I teach at a daycare and this is just the right size for the children to sift compost in.It left behind all the big particles and left very fine compost they could then add to the gardens.

We even used it with a soil lesson to show how some soils were more porous than others.

I use it to make a bed for rose bushes. By sieving the soil I have a bad that is very hospitable for growing rose bushes. All the stones and rocks are taken out for perfect drainage.
