This planter is designed to be self-watering. It has rained so much since we got it we have not had to put it to the test. However we hope to in the near future.

      Comments about Standing Garden:

Currently using it for vegetable plants/herbs. Easy to assemble but buy the wheels to go with it.
It does leak if over watered so be careful where you place it. Will reuse year after year, great for kids who want a close up view without falling into plants. Or elderly who can't bend.
The filler float does not work but still great for pouring water into the reservoir. There is a slight cedar smell when wet; nice if you like it.

      Comments about Standing Garden:

I bought this for my mother for mothers day,she loves to plant. The raised planter perfect solution since bending is difficult for her.
      My mother was THRILLED!!!
I did not use the casters sugested. They were too light weight for outdoor.I went to the home improvement store and put a heavy caster on the planter.
I think an improvement to this product would be a heavier locking caster.

          Comments about Standing Garden:

This garden takes up very little room on the deck. I wanted something to move around (added own wheels), to hold the greens so the rabbits don't get them, and to keep me upright while picking veggies. This fits the bill! It took about an hour total to put together, fill up the resevoir, fill with dirt, then plant. It looks so good! Each day I cut off the greens I want without bending over. I will be ordering a second one....highly reccommend it!

                Comments about Standing Garden:

The planter box is wonderful. I also bought the casters which make it easy to move around my deck. It is also great to have the added water feature in the bottom. I don't have to constantly water in dry conditions. Also so nice to not have to bend down to weed and throughly check the plant. Last year I got a veg trug which is why I decided to get another waist high planter box. I had very good luck but do have to water that daily in dry weather. So I am excited about the new planter box. So far I have absolutely no complaints about it. I have tomatoes and beets in it and things are growing nicely. I also bought some of Gardners Supply soil. So far, I am a happy gardner!

                gift for green-thumb sister

                Comments about Standing Garden:

Got this as gift for my green thumb sister of 75 years. It was not a surprise, but the product of consultation with her, and she asked about casters, so they were added and so was the dirt. It arrived on time for the family party and the guys assembled it in 20 minutes. My sister consulted your garden plans and is going for the ingredients for a BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich), that is tomatoes, lettuce and some herbs. She is on her own for the bacon.

                She loes it...

I belong to a roof garden group in an apartment building in the Bronx, and we buy from you all the time. Your products are first class and you are employee owned, a real plus.

Never thought I would be able to grow vegetables in my tiny paved outdoor space, but this makes it possible. Easy to assemble, a very small footprint and a clean industrial design. The built in reservoir means it doesn't dry out, even on the hottest days. And everything is at standing height, so no bending over or kneeling. Love it!

                          Comments about Standing Garden:

As a woman in my 60s with a not-so-strong back, I am happy to be able to garden again. I lovingly call this product my granny garden. This works well in a condo/townhouse setting. With a couple of added containers, I've got plenty of space in my limited patch of sunshine. Assembling the two planters took about 60 minutes. Be sure to carefully read the instructions and assemble exactly as shown. I used a power screwdriver- would not recommend a hand held screwdriver. The illustration of the wicking strip is poorly drawn; if you just make sure to feed both ends down through the slots into the water reservoir, the product works well. I have not had to water the plants from the top since planting a month ago; just have kept the reservoir filled through the fill tube.
