Exclusive | Whether Your Tomatoes are Tumbling, Tall or Towering, You Need Our Ladder Trellis

  • Sturdy trellis support plants for a big harvest of unblemished fruit
  • V-shaped design and patented cradle shape support fruit-laden vines more effectively than stakes
  • Ideal for raised beds and small-space gardens

We've made our popular tomato trellis ladder even better. They still have 7mm steel uprights and our exclusive "plant cradle" crosspieces that give multiple places for vines to rest. But now they're modular and stackable, so you can arrange them any way you like. Each set includes six 32-1/2" tall sections. Use singly to support eggplants and peppers; stack two for bush tomatoes; stack three for tall, indeterminate tomatoes. These are the sturdiest ladders you can buy — 20% thicker than others on the market — with a long-lasting, weatherproof powder coating. (We have some that are 15 years old and still look as good as new.) Tomato Ladders will make the most of your garden space, reduce damage from pests and diseases, and give you a bigger harvest of delicious, unblemished fruit. Ladders nest for compact off-season storage. Choice of Red or Green.

  • Powder-coated steel
  • 6" W x 6" D x 32-1/2" H overall
  • Single is 22" H installed; stacked double is 49" H; triple is 78" H
  • Sturdy 7mm diameter upright supports
  • Patented
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

These are MUCH sturdier than tomato cages (although not indestructable), much more easily configured to the needs of any particular plant, and also (if you goof up and wait a little too long to put up tomato supports) MUCH easier to arrange around the plant than a tomato cage. Been through three storms already, and the plant came through in pristine condition. Going to get more for some canteloupe I'm growing and grow the 'lopes UP.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

Easy to install, sturdy supports that store easily. The only downside to the product is that you have to "train" your tomatoes to grow up through the supports and not out the spaces between the side supports. If you do not pay attention to this issue, you will be left with a bent plant with no support, which defeats the purpose of the product.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

I love these. 5 minute set-up and putting things together is not my strong suit. I grow tomatoes in 5-gallon buckets and use 2 ladder sections for determinate varieties and 3 sections for indeterminates. These fit the buckets and no more tying tomatoes to stakes. Yay!

    TOMATO TOWERS TO THE RESCUE

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

The tomato towers 'grow' along with my indeterminate tomatoes. I start with one stack and then add another when the vine demands it. I consider the tower design to be a work of art thus making the tower and the tomatoes stand out in my garden. And the towers are versatile. They are good for all my garden vines like clematis, nasturtium and those little pickling cucumbers that like to crawl.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

I bought 2 sets for tomatoes 4 years ago. They worked for determinates (Roma) but I had a hard time containing my heirlooms to the ladder. For the next 3 years I used them on peppers. The pepper's brittle stems are gently supported on the cross-pieces without much effort tying up the plant. I can grow huge bell peppers without losing stems to the weight of the fruit. This year I bought 2 more sets. The paint on the old sets has faded a bit, but the coating has held-up well and the wires are too tough to get bent out of shape. They also stack nicely for storage. A much better investment than flimsy sticks and cages from the hardware store.
