Exclusive | Whether Your Tomatoes are Tumbling, Tall or Towering, You Need Our Ladder Trellis

  • Sturdy trellis support plants for a big harvest of unblemished fruit
  • V-shaped design and patented cradle shape support fruit-laden vines more effectively than stakes
  • Ideal for raised beds and small-space gardens

We've made our popular tomato trellis ladder even better. They still have 7mm steel uprights and our exclusive "plant cradle" crosspieces that give multiple places for vines to rest. But now they're modular and stackable, so you can arrange them any way you like. Each set includes six 32-1/2" tall sections. Use singly to support eggplants and peppers; stack two for bush tomatoes; stack three for tall, indeterminate tomatoes. These are the sturdiest ladders you can buy — 20% thicker than others on the market — with a long-lasting, weatherproof powder coating. (We have some that are 15 years old and still look as good as new.) Tomato Ladders will make the most of your garden space, reduce damage from pests and diseases, and give you a bigger harvest of delicious, unblemished fruit. Ladders nest for compact off-season storage. Choice of Red or Green.

  • Powder-coated steel
  • 6" W x 6" D x 32-1/2" H overall
  • Single is 22" H installed; stacked double is 49" H; triple is 78" H
  • Sturdy 7mm diameter upright supports
  • Patented
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

These work great for my tomatoes. I like that the height can be adjusted dependent on your plants needs and fit perfectly into your typical large grow bag. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is they can rust at the points where the ladders join (water runs down into the lower ladder so advise sealing them in some way to prevent - would be lovely if they added gaskets?), they can become top heaving / tip over once the plants get large (may want to bury past the first cross bars or use long gardening pins with if growing tall tomatoes) and the bright colors tend to fade after first couple of seasons. None of the cons have deterred my love of them...just bought a couple more sets and have been using for last 4 years. Holding up great.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

I have a very small backyard (we're talking square-foot gardening). Even though I totally support my local farmers market, there's nothing as rewarding as slicing up one of my own home-grown tomatoes and dressing with some locally produced olive oil and balsamic vinegar. These stacking towers are much more versatile than tomato cage cones because you can adjust height and placement. They're sturdy and attractive. Come with rubber stoppers to waterproof the vertical tubes. Four stars right there. The fifth star because of the design versatility. You can stack them or not, arrange them as needed.

The height is perfect for garden uses but I would have like it much more if it is 2 " more in width and 1" more in depth

I bought some of these last spring and then bought more later this summer. They are sturdy, easy to use and the green color makes them disappear against the plants. I used them for my tomato plants and for tall dahlias.

I like to use these in the garden to prop up plants, however, at least half of the rubber end stoppers shipped with the product did not fit the ends of the tubes.

I put three sets of three at about 3 foot spacing, then run bamboo stakes in between to create an amazing tomato trellis. These ladders are heavy duty, not cheap wire junk.

I first got these as a gift. I used them to support my tomato plants. I liked them so much that I purchased more for myself. They're great! The tomato plants just cradle in them. You don't need any ties at all! And you can add on if need to.

The only issue I had with assembling them was the fact that some the posts were a little corroded and didn't slip into the sockets very easily. Until I got out a little spray lubricant, spritzed some on, and then it was easy as pie! I'll buy more next year (but I'll keep my can of silicone lubricant handy)!
