Exclusive | Whether Your Tomatoes are Tumbling, Tall or Towering, You Need Our Stackable Ladders

  • Sturdy ladders support plants for a big harvest of unblemished fruit
  • V-shaped design and patented cradle shape support fruit-laden vines more effectively than stakes
  • Ideal for raised beds and small-space gardens

We've made our popular Tomato Ladders even better. They still have 7mm steel uprights and our exclusive "plant cradle" crosspieces that give multiple places for vines to rest. But now they're modular and stackable, so you can arrange them any way you like. Each set includes six 32-1/2" tall sections. Use singly to support eggplants and peppers; stack two for bush tomatoes; stack three for tall, indeterminate tomatoes. These are the sturdiest ladders you can buy — 20% thicker than others on the market — with a long-lasting, weatherproof powder coating. (We have some that are 15 years old and still look as good as new.) Tomato Ladders will make the most of your garden space, reduce damage from pests and diseases, and give you a bigger harvest of delicious, unblemished fruit. Ladders nest for compact off-season storage. Choice of Red or Green.

  • Powder-coated steel
  • 6" W x 6" D x 32-1/2" H overall
  • Single is 22" H installed; stacked double is 49" H; triple is 78" H
  • Sturdy 7mm diameter upright supports
  • Patented
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

The only issue I had with assembling them was the fact that some the posts were a little corroded and didn't slip into the sockets very easily. Until I got out a little spray lubricant, spritzed some on, and then it was easy as pie! I'll buy more next year (but I'll keep my can of silicone lubricant handy)!

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

I got these for next year instead of the regular wire cages that I used this year. My plants grew too tall and kept toppling over the cages! They seem to be sturdy and I had great luck with the pepper and eggplant supports I bought from this company earlier.

I use these stacking tomato ladders for my indeterminate tomato plants that get really tall. When they're young I use one cage, and as they grow higher I add a ladder as needed.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

The first set was given me as a gift and I wasn't sure I would like them. They seemed small and didn't think they would support the tomato plants as they get very tall and are very heavy. But I was surprised at the sturdiness of the ladders. You can train the plants to climb and the ladders give adequate support. I ordered another set and really have enjoyed them.

We used the ladders in the hoop house because the
round tomato cages were not tall enough for our
climbing tomatoes, these are a little pricy, but well worth it

I have the large tomato ladders and wanted something smaller for the plants that I put in pots this year. These work great. They hold the plants really well and they don't make the pots top heavy like the wire cages do, especially helpful during high winds/storms. They would have gotten 5 stars but the rubber stoppers that go in the posts are hard to insert.

Comments about Stacking Tomato Ladders, Set of 6:

I love the way these ladders allow you to keep your plants up off the ground and provide many supports for the plant. They are super durable and best of all they are very compact for storage, yay! The only problem I had was with the rubber stoppers needed for the top of the ladder. They do not fit well and needed a bit of trimming in order to use. If you do not use them rust forms inside the tube and makes it difficult to use next time. I have had my ladders for 2 seasons now and really love them.
