        Best Uses

          Takes some thought in planning the setup and may need additional parts to get a really effective setup. Will have to work on this next summer. We have several different snip 'n drip products and most of the connectors are interchangable.

            • Connectors Are Weak

            Best Uses

              Just a little too much water pressuer would blow the connections open. The smaller connectors from the soaker hose to the main line were especially problematic.

              Once I got it set up, it worked beautifully to water plants and tomatos while I was gone for 2 weeks.

              This is a fine product. However, you should bring a bucket of hot water with you to assemble it. Hold the ends of the 1/2-in. tubing and the micro soaker tubing under the hot water for a minute before assembling. This will soften the plastic and make it easier to slide them on to the connectors securely. My second tip is that you dial down the pressure using the provided control valve. At full pressure, both the 1/2-in. tubing and the microsoaker tubing will come apart. Beware.

                I bought this product thinking it would be a great solution for watering my pots in a shady dry spot of my garden. They worked great the first time but EVERY TIME SINCE the connectors between the small hose have failed. This has resulted in a LOT OF WASTED WATER. I've always trusted Gardeners for quality products so I assume this would be one too. I am completely disappointed in both the quality of this product and Gardeners.

                My mom used this for the plants in her big outdoor patio pots and she recommended it to me for the potted plants on our deck. I tried it out and it is great. Sets up pretty quick and easy with just need a utility knife. Works fantastic! So much easier than watering by hand. The hoses and nozzles can be a very tight fit so be prepared to use some real strength for that (I uses locking pliers go help force the hoses onto the barbed ends of the nozzles).

                The only thing missing is hose clamps. The water pressure from my spigot can blow off some of the connectors (especially the one at the end with the end cap) so I had to buy some small pipe clamps (the ones that screw tight) to keep some of the hoses from blowing off if the connector nozzles. Other than that, this is a great system.

The couplings keep coming loose - we are buying additional hardware at our local store to make sure the hoses stay together.

                    We installed in all of our tomato pots and strawberry pots. We used your timer and the system is perfect. every pot gets exactly the correct amt of water and I have no worries. We can already see a difference in how the plants look;

                    Not so great was the difficulty in connecting the parts. We had to soak the ends of the hoses and tubes in boiling water in order to get them connected. It was quite a project

                      I haven't had this long enough to be certain about the use and value of it, but I loved the idea when I saw the ads for it and I immediatley bought it to use in our container plants. One of the issues that I always face with trying to grow anything in the desert area that we live in is the water use and mis-use of that valuable resource, so this is a way to measureably handle the inefficiencies of broad watering techniques in order to contain cost and waste.
