Exclusive | Super-Sturdy Tomato Cage Supports Heavy Yields

  • Extra-strong cage keeps tomato plants upright for a bigger, cleaner harvest
  • Big, 8" square openings make harvesting easy
  • Hinged panels fold flat for compact storage

Longtime customer favorites, our heavy-duty, powder-coated steel tomato cages are taller, wider and stronger than old-fashioned cone-shaped supports. And unlike flimsier versions, these are strong enough to support full-grown vines loaded with tomatoes. The cages support plants on all sides (no tying needed) and keep plants up off the ground for better air circulation, cleaner fruit and fewer diseases. Large openings make harvesting easy, and the cages fold flat for off-season storage. In windy locations, we recommend anchoring with our Extra-Tall Earth Staples.

  • Powder-coated steel
  • 14-3/8" square x 39" H including 7" legs; 32" H installed
  • 8" square openings
  • 10 gauge wire
  • Cages fold for off-season storage
  • Gardener's Supply Exclusive

Of course as the product name reflects, I use the cages for tomato plants. However, I have also in years past purchased other items from these folks for use with pepper and egg plants. Too, the shorter version of the tomato plants work exceptionally well in supporting squash plants. I've repeatedly put these cages over the past few years!

living in a condominium, I do not have an area for ground planting-so I'm thrilled to have found Gardners.com where they have everything I need for container gardening. The tomato tower fits perfectly in my earth box where my indeterminate cherry tomatoes are planted. I hah wonderful results last year, did not have the correct size tower-now I do. I'd love to send an image later on in the season!

Was easy to assemble and just fit the "Standing Vegetable Garden" I ordered from you last fall. Seems like it will be a good size and sturdy for the tomato plants.

My plants were a bit too large, should have put this up sooner, but all is ok now and no important branches were destroyed in the process.

Was a little disappointed as I thought the cage might be taller. The tomatoes I have grown in the past would probably be a foot or two taller than this cage. I will be a better judge as the season goes on and the tomatoes grow.

I have bought these again and again. They are not for just tomatoes because I have them on my raspberries and berry plants to train them. I also use them in my greenhouse planting boxes in the winter time.

I use mine in large pots on my deck. The red almost makes it ornamental. I like that the cages wrap around the plants. They are very sturdy. Because they fold, I will be able to store them inside when the season is over. They won't be tossed behind the shed to rust like all the bare metal cylindrical ones I have used in the past. I am so glad I bought them.
