Bottom Heat Jump-Starts Your Seedlings

  • Heat Mats provide consistent bottom heat for fast germination and vigorous root growth
  • Can be used indoors or in greenhouse
  • Available in three sizes

These Heat Mats speed seed germination and stimulate root growth by keeping soil at about 70ยบ F. Here's a clever extra — instructions and growing tips are printed right on the mat, so you can't lose them. 9" x 19" mat holds a standard seed flat. 20-3/4" square mat holds two standard seed flats. 48" x 20" mat holds 4 flats. All sizes have 6-ft power cords.

  • Warms root area 10 to 20 degrees above ambient temperature
  • 19" x 9" mat is 20 watts
  • 20-3/4" square mat is 45 watts
  • 48" x 20" mat is 107 watts
  • 6' power cord

I use it to keep soil warm in starting seeds, nursing transplants, and recovering sickly favorites. I have not found a 'down side' to the product. My adult son saw it and said, "Where can I buy one of those!"

This is a great product to extend seed germination in our cool, rainy Spring! The added warmth is a must to start seed germination since it has been so cool and rainy in the Northeast.
