      Comments about Reed Fences:

I attached this fence to a apartment balcony barrier with stainless steel wire. I cut it to the height I wanted (5 feet) with pruning shears(scissors were too difficult). I also wired bamboo poles to the barrier and the fence to secure it. (I'm 18 floors up.) Thereis a lot of wind, but the fence held steady, much more than a similar one (more flimsy), that I bought from another retailer last year. Still , this strong material and even the previous one held up during Sandy. This is a good fence, but invest in bamboo poles as anchors. (The poles are on the inside of the fence).

      Comments about Reed Fences:

It's not as private as the picture would lead you to believe (you can see through it). It's also very delicate -- a good portion of it broke off at the top and bottom during shipping. Still, it does provide some privacy where I need it.

Great barrier between yards. Covered a 6 foot high chain link fence adding beauty to our landscape. Allowed light to get through but kept our dogs from seeing the neighbors animals, preventing negative interactions from occurring. Great reasonably priced solution.

was looking to soften a chain link fence. not super strong material but did the job nicely. i'd recommend it against something, not so much freestanding. you can still sort of see through the material but creates a much better look than the chain link and adds a level of privacy

            Comments about Reed Fences:

This was difficult to unfold and began falling apart even before it was mounted to posts, and did not last even a full summer. I had used the willow fencing in the past, with good results, but this product is of very poor quality.

            Comments about Reed Fences:

The produce is very attractive, but is not substantial enough to hide unsightly pool equipment without first installing a tarp behind the screening. Also, I expect that the screening will only last one pool season before it needs replacing.

                Comments about Reed Fences:

We have chain link on side between neighbors and the reed fence on our side dresses it up quite nicely, and does keep our dog from trying to get involved in their activities (barking at basketball games, bbq's, etc). Tho it was a bit heavy for me to attach to the fence myself I was able to manage it. Removing it for winter storage in the garage was easy, just cut the ties and rolled it up. I'm quite pleased with this product when used in this manner...I can't imagine that it would be strong enough to be a fence on it's own however. Note: the reed fence survived Hurricane Sandy.. a huge tree from neighbors yard fell and completely destroyed that section of our fence but we were able to remove the reed fence in one piece and it was not damaged! It will be reused this spring once the fence is repaired.
