Tree Ring Looks Tidy, Protects Tree from Damage by Mowers and Trimmers

  • Scatterproof 36" rubber mulch always looks crisp and neat
  • Suppresses weeds better than bark mulch
  • Protects tree trunk from string trimmer and lawn mower damage

This recycled rubber tree ring will never scatter, even when you run a mower over it. Unlike bark mulch, it doesn’t acidify the soil, and won’t need to be replaced each year. The ring suppresses weeds while letting air and water reach tree roots. It also keeps mowers and trimmers away from trunks, preventing damage to bark. Slit allows easy placement around trunk. Center hole can be cut with scissors to enlarge.

Product Details

  • Recycled rubber
  • 36" in diameter x approx. 1/2" thick
  • 3-1/2" center hole may be enlarged if needed
  • For best results, remove sod before laying mulch

Cost saver in other ways

Comments about : Tree Ring, 36":

By keeping the weeds at bay, these tree rings keep us from having to spray weed killer around the base of our fruit trees! Our mowing crew can also easily circle the trees, and there's no need to weed-eat! We have found the tree rings to be an investment that's worth the cost. We save money and time on mulch, mowing, weed-eating, and we can comfortably use the fruit to bless others without using pesticides (another cost saver)!

SAVE ON MULCH!

Comments about : Tree Ring, 36":

I have been using these types of rings for years. I find them quite sturdy and last for years! The only difficulty I find with these is cutting the material to fit around the tree trunk. I tried the coco fiber ones, but was disappointed. The fiber did not even last 2 years, not to mention that the birds loved using the fiber as nesting material.

    Bought four more!

Comments about : Tree Ring, 36":

I bought two of these for my mom about three or four years ago and they are still in great shape and doing their job to keep the weeds down around trees she has growing in her lawn. Not a single weed has been able to grow through and they still look great!. The only maintenance was to cut the central hole a little larger this year because the trees had grown, and this was easily accomplished using pruning shears. I just bought 4 more for some baby fruit trees that I planted in the lawn. No need for the mower to mow close to the tree and damage the bark. My only complaint was that one ripped too easily when I pulled it out of the box. However, once installed it still looked fine and the rip did not affect the performance because of the weed barrier that is attached to the bottom.

the plan is to keep the lawn mower away from the trunk of the tree and control invasive grass. the thrashers spread the mulch I have used in the past far and wide... they have not yet disturbed this. but will it be enough to subdue pernicious Bermuda grass? time will tell; I will know by the end of next summer.

This effectively keeps grass and weeds from growing around the base of a young tree, and is permeable to water. Looks good. Allows mowing near without nicking the trunk.
